A list of puns related to "Khopesh"
Im a huge Egyptain history buff and i have always wanted a Khopesh.
Though im also a weapons collector and im into martial arts of all types and i feel that a bronze khopesh should be more of a display item than something i would use to practice with.
So what im really looking for is a Khopesh that could be used to chop up matts or even used as a defense weapon. But a lot of the Khopesh i have seen barely resemble khopesh and more like a curved meat cleaver.
Do any of you have any links to a Khopesh that looks like a Khopesh and cuts/chops like butter? I dont care if its steel infact i would prefer it over bronze like i mentioned earlier.
I want one that resembles a real one or a really good almost fantasy looking one that also can hack my enemies limbs off with ease.
Thanks
Hey would anyone on Xbox be able to give it trade me a gold handsaw, khopesh and/or scythe
This would be greatly appreciated
Hey,
I'm making a list for my Warpcoven roaster on budget. It seems a decent Warpcoven team requires 3(?) boxes. So far this is what I got:
3x Sorcerers
1x Rubric Marine w/ Soulreaper Cannon
4x Tzaangor
Since I'm new to Kill Team I apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge/understanding with regards to team building.
Here my questions:
1.)What weapons should each sorcerer wield?
2.) I have read that the Khopesh is a go-to weapon for the sorcerer. If so, the Exalted Sorcerer box is one of the very few boxes that has the Khopesh bits. How does proxying work? Can Exalted Sorcerers be played as normal sorcerers in a Warpcoven team especially because those Exalted Sorcerers appear to stand on disks and are much bigger then the average Sorcerer from a Rubric Marine box?
3.) Can I buy Thousand Sons sorcerers with a normal sword (the older models are equipped with one) and play those swords as a Khopesh?
4.) What weapons/gear should the Tzaangor wield?
5.) Is magnetizing a decent solution or not needed? (<- please tell me magnetizing is not necessary)
Goodness, I feel like a noob.
Thank you to everyone in advance for any help!

Sale of Khopesh:
Just got my main hand Leng sword and I'm wondering if the accuracy/dps increase of t92 OH is worth more than using a t85 OH Leng sword for the set bonus. 1 extra threshold vs all the stat bonuses of t92. Doesn't seem an easy choice.
It seems rather ridiculous to treat a khopesh as a Stab weapon. It was historically used for slashing and isn't even designed in such a way to make stabbing primarily effective. On top of that, any stab animation with a weapon visually designed as such would just look silly, and a slash animation wouldn't make sense for stabbing.
Yes, we could use another high tier Stab weapon and have too many slash weapons. Yes, Raids 3 is desert-themed. Yes, RS3 has a Stab-based khopesh. That doesn't all mean the new weapon should be a slash-focused weapon forced into a Stab class. Why can't the new weapon keep its gameplay stats and mechanics, but just be a different weapon? Ancient Egypt had plenty of stab-like weaponry such as daggers and spears. A dagger might not make much sense given the new weapon has an attack speed of 5, but would still be more sensible than a khopesh. A spear would probably be more fitting, although may be a bit redundant thematically given that we are also getting a partisan.
Either way, anything that's actually stabby would make more sense than a khopesh. If you really want a khopesh in the game, introduce it as a slash weapon dropped from enemies found after the quest or something. Just please don't make us poke enemies with a sickle.
from wikipedia:
The blade is only sharpened on the outside portion of the curved end.
the Khopesh was used for slashing and pulling arms/shields out of the way. However, it has 150 stab and only 50 slash?
Osmumten's Khopesh was modified to give it a long and sharp end to make it more versatile than other weapons of its kind. The Khopesh would eventually be buried with Osmumten.
However this would be closer to a Harpe, but I understand wanting to keep with the Egyptian theme.
Then its not a khopesh though? Idk how to feel about this one, guess I'd have to see the artwork first before I jump to how I feel about it.
My romulan captain and my KDF are flying on Khopesh Class Tactical Dreadnought. I really like this ship. But it has something little bit annoying. This ship does drift. You go on your target, you want turn around the target but the ship goes straitgh away.
The Khopesh is a Sword, with the Uncommon and Trip traits. That seems fine, but it seems to clash with the description given of the weapon itself.
The Description is as follows:
> This curved sickle sword has a pointed tip, allowing it to be swung like a handaxe or thrust like a short sword. The tip of a khopesh is usually hooked so that it can be used to disarm an opponent's shield or weapon.
A few things stick out to me about this. The first is the explicit mention of being used to disarm. However, no Disarm trait?
The second is the descriptor of being able to be "Swung like a handaxe, or thrust like a short sword." Why does it not then have Versatile P?
Maybe I'm being overly nice to my favourite weapon, but some things seem to not match and I am confused.
Looking to convert my current TSons lists to Warpcoven lists. My question is, whats the best way to get khopesh bits? Are the ones from the scarab termies good enough or are they too big/termie sized?
Does anyone have one spare?
I'm a jem'hadar, and I've come to enioy the battle cloak and singularity abilities of the khopesh, and it looks sweet with the gamma visuals, with the elite romulan drone ship in the hangar. I've got full high quality polaron beam arrays, omni arrays, dual beam banks, as well as the full morphogenic polaron set from the "home" mission in the gamma episode.
My question is, should I stick the morphogenic turret and torpedo in the back with an omni array to make use of the set bonus, and then put all arrays in the front, or include a dual beam bank in the front too? I'm curious.
I use calm before the storm trait from the ghemor, and beam overload as my main damage BOFF ability, and I'm stacked with polaron damage boosting consoles.
Can you get gold tier khopeshes? How? If not, what's the highest tier? I've done a ton of prison and only found the same handful of weapons
The way the Khopesh is currently designed, itβs main selling point is that itβs gonna be better than stuff like Rapier against high def targets but comparable or slightly worst against low def targets because of its slower attack speed.
Because Def reduction is so prevalent in higher tier content and the BGS and DWH and other debuffs alike exist, is this gonna kill the khopesh?
What I mean by this is that if a bosses def is really high, typically you wanna lower its def. if you lower itβs def, then khopesh starts to lose its edge.
If the boss has a mechanic where itβs def canβt be lowered or an only be lowered to a certain amount then you start to run into the issue of killing the DPS of a lot of other weapons except the khopesh.
β 5-tick one headed weapon(longsword)
β Has a Special attack increased to 50%
β Stronger accuracy than the Vesta longsword
β High accuracy on two melee styles, stab being its main style
Personally, looks quite strong. Has a 59 max hit in full strength gear, 66 with a slayer helmet. What do you guys think this weapon would be useful on?
I'm a fan of historical swords, so I'm excited by the khopesh that they're going to release with Raids 3. I've been thinking about what kind of a weapon it might end up being in game, since I don't see them adding any more 4t 1 handed endgame melee weapons anytime soon now that we have inq mace, saeldor and rapier.
Because a khopesh was a rather short sword historically, I wonder if they might be making it into a 3 tick weapon? At least 5t or slower would definitely be odd imo, assuming that it is actually a short blade like the real ones were. Of course they might even make an entirely new mechanic for the sword, like the variable attack speed wand, and low life ranged gear (although I would've expected them to mention it in the Summer Summit stream yesterday if that was the case).
What kind of ideas do you guys have about what kind of a weapon it might be?
What I'm proposing is we add an ability that has never been used before to the raids 3 weapon. The ability would damage a boss like Verzik and apply 10 disease damage to the boss, every 18 seconds the boss would lose a random combat stat or some hp. this ability can be stacked with each additional khopesh sword that your team has. for example if all 5 players apply disease to verzik every 18 seconds the boss will take 50 disease damage. I think this would provide some much needed variety to the game as things are a bit stale.

Player with the Diseased status
Edit: 100% spec bar used, applies disease if you hit but not if you miss.
A Khopesh is not a stabbing weapon. If we want a new niche stab weapon, why not use the perfectly good Partisan that is being suggested alongside it? We would just need to swap a few things around.
That's pretty good, but what about this?
This would eliminate the discrepancy of the khopesh's style and differentiate it a bit more from RS3's khopesh.
The names can be tweaked too, if needed. Osmumten's Partisan seems a bit long - Pharaoh's Partisan, maybe? Or Osmumten's Spear? (I wouldn't mind this being the new best weapon against Corp btw...) If we don't like alliterations, and if the plot allows for it, maybe the khopesh can be Osman's Khopesh, but he gifts it to you for whatever progress you make in Menaphos?
Thanks for reading this far. Let me know your thoughts! Here's a concept art :) https://i.imgur.com/4bBvxwL.png
The Khopesh has the trip and uncommon traits listed in its stat block. Yet, the weapon's description says:
>The tip of a khopesh is usually hooked so that it can be used to disarm an opponentβs shield or weapon.
As those two information contradict each other, I suppose there is some mistake involved here... One of the two must be wrong; either the stat block should list "disarm" instead of "trip", or the descriptive text should be changed, but which option is the right one?
I suppose it is easier to make a mistake on a single word ("trip") than it is to write a whole erroneous sentence, so I would tend to believe the description is right and the trait listed should be disarm instead of trip, without any certainty, of course.
What do you think?
Edit: A clear and definitive answer has been given; khopesh does have the trip trait, and not the disarm one. Please refer to u/Xethik 's post down there.
I've made some comparison images for my own personal use I thought I'd share comparing the new Legendary Scimitar with the Khopesh as it's the most similar (and my main's ship for years).
Animated stat comparison / Static side-by-side stat comparison - you can ignore everything below the hangars basically.
Animated loadout comparison / Static side-by-side loadout comparison
Essentially the formerly universal lt commander command spec is becoming locked as an engineer but retaining command spec. The commander tactical is gaining intelligence spec. The remaining seats are becoming universal. More importantly one lieutenant spot (formerly lt sci) is becoming ensign and the former universal lt is becoming a lt commander universal.
And there's just directly more V & VI masteries that come with the Legendary Scimitar.
The seating changes, particularly changing a lt to ensign and a lt to lt commander) will create some pretty severe problems for me personally since this is my Khopesh loadout. I'll probably end up swapping my lt tac & lt eng around since a lt cmdr eng will have better utility for me (though not optimal). But I'm straight up losing a lt sci skill.
As far as stats are concerned the Legendary Scimitar is directly better with 3000 more hull at 65 with the 1.4 hull modifier rather than 1.333333. The shields are slightly better at 1.15 vs 1.1, the turn rate is very slightly better at 7.5 compared to 7, and it has 30 inertia vs 20 which I guess is really up to personal preference.
The legendary ship also has the activate sensor arrays ability and the passive warp signature masking which the Khopesh does not. The rest of the abilities are just from consoles that come with the ship, some of which aren't actually included and if you have the T5 & T6 Scimitar packs you already have all those consoles anyways.
It does however come with some extra space masteries. I-IV are identical. Super Charged Weapons which came with the Khopesh at V is included. The Flambard and Shamshir tier V traits Checkmate and Adaptive Hull Plating are also included. It also features a new tier VI trait She's a Predator: While this trait is slotted, activating any attack pattern ability heals you for a pe
