This is Aura. We were told she was part border collie when she was adopted. She is 6, about 55 lbs, and can have TONS of energy. Is she a Karelian Bear Dog?

A few months ago, my family rescued a 7yo female labeled as a "husky/border collie" mix. But now we're wondering if she's a Karelian Bear Dog. Everything I'm reading online seem to correlate - the temperament, physical characteristics, etc. And apparently the breed is fairly rare, so I can easily see how she could be mis-classified.

Normally, I wouldn't really care about her breed, but our life circumstances have changed, and we are unable to keep her. If she is a Karelian, then I'm hoping to find resources for re-homing her that are breed-specific. Any advice?

[Breeds] Male dog aggression, specifically Karelian Bear Dog

Hi! Recently I've been looking into Karelian Bear Dogs as a breed choice. From what I've read, they have a tendency towards same-sex aggression with other dogs. Talking to a breeder, he said that specifically male dogs will not tolerate other male dogs of any breed. Nothing else I've read has said this specifically. From what I have read they must be very properly socialized in these areas and care must certainly be taken, but no one else has mentioned that male dogs under no circumstances will tolerate other males. Does anyone here have experience with this? Is that a trend of dogs in general, that male dogs are more aggressive? Thanks!
