A list of puns related to "Ironside"
He was tired of being pushed around
Let's say, dream case scenario, Ubisoft announce their intention to remake multiple games, 'Resident Evil' style - but they know Micheal isn't gonna be able to record them all.
Could you accept a new actor - such as Jeff Teravainen - in Micheal's shoes, taking on Nikoladze, Sadono, Shetland, Dufraisne? Digitally walking where Micheal did?
Or how about just SAR, as is confirmed? If Micheal is unable, and they don't want to use the old recordings... could you accept a different actor? Should they use their own distinct voice, or try to emulate Micheal?
I ask this because I believe remakes are Ubisofts best opportunity to deliver an authentic Splinter Cell experience (without interfering senior mandates or creatively bankrupt choices) but I worry that many are too attached to the awesome tones of Mr Ironside.
Sam Fisher is about 45 years old during the first Splinter Cell and Michael Ironside is 70 now. Ironside's voice undoubtedly sound pretty old and it might sound a bit detached to have that voice represent Fisher in his 40s. I'm not sure though. How hard is the timeline stamped? Maybe Fisher's age could be changed to 50/60. I am not sure.
If this remake leads to even more Splinter Cell games/remakes, the Blacklist problem might arise again. If they continue with Ironside, It's unclear how long it will last before we see Fisher being replaced again which would be less than ideal. So maybe this is time to actually hire a new person?
Ultimately however, Ironside is still so connected to Fisher that it would just feel a bit off without him. It simply wouldn't be the same without Ironside.
Michael Ironside is going to be 72 soon, and, according to ubisoft presentation, they build current remake considering its sequels, and given this fact most likely ubi will take an another actor to voice Sam (let's hope Sam will be the main character, touch wood) due to natural reasons. Think this is the most probable outcome and I hope voice character will be solid, grown and straight-to-the-point, and community of SC won't lose their shit when they find out that Ironside is not the part of the game.
In all seriousness, very hopeful, naively, that he returns. I honestly canβt think of another voice actor for any video game that is as novel as Michael Ironsideβs Sam Fisher. It may not happen, and that is ok (only because theyβre using Stealth Redefined as a building block). But, and as dumb as this may sound, Iβd die happy if they brought Michael Ironside back as Sam Fisher. Thasit.
Has His Ironside computers partnership ended? Iβm planning to buy one now and his code doesnβt seem to be working?
(Also if anyone has the specs of his computer would be a greatly appreciated)
Anyone else has this doctrine? If so, let me know which unit you placed it on.
I mean the title says it shooting cross slashes isnβt that cool when we have magic like snatch, the ruler, chaos even some of Arthurβs other knights have cooler powers hopefully we see more depth
If the USS Constitution is still a commissioned US Navy ship in the fallout universe (itβs actually still commissioned IRL) by the time the bombs dropped then by the order of succession Captain Ironsides (the sentry bot) of the USS constitution would be in command of all US Navy forces and perhaps even the entire US military as long as there are no other survivors of higher rank than him.
Hell if the line of US Government line of succession is completely wreaked and if the Enclave donβt count then Ironsides would technically be the US President. The male sole survivor was probably at most a Sargeant so Ironsides would outrank him.
This is what Jeff Teravainenrecently said in that tweet, he's the guy who voiced Sam aka "Zero" in Rainbow Six Siege last year :

Now we know why Michael Ironside didn't voice Sam in that game. Hopefully it wasn't serious this time and he is doing well again. Let's wish him the best !

Hi everybody,
I am watching The Perfect Storm and I saw again one of my favorite actors, Michael Ironside.
He is in so much of my childhood movies and I was wondering if he had some sort of email address that I can write to, to express my appreciation for his work.
Just off the top of my head, Starship Troopers, Total Recall, and Splinter Cell. I am sure that I've seen him in more movies but their titles escape me as of this writing. I love his intensity in his portrayals.
Edit: I opened the AMA from 7 years ago, and messaged his Reddit account. Most likely the account is long inactive but I feel like I've said what I needed to him.
Its amazing how an actor like him can be in the background of a movie but make so much impact to the audience.
Iβm kinda confused right now. Whoβs son is Bjorn? Is he Ragnars Son or Rollos Son? I mean he does resemble ragnar with the blue eyes and blonde hair. But does someone know for certain whoβs son he is?
Mine is Pandora Tomorrow. I think he plays Sam the grittiest in that one. Shoutout to Conviction too, he brings out a more emotional side to Sam.
What was in that small cave they buried bjorn? Was that a statue of him? Or was that really him? Still holding his sword up?
