Has anyone recover from inferior alveolar nerve damage?

It has been 3 weeks since I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted. My chin and bottom lip on the left side still feels numb. It has improved a bit, however still not at 100%. When the nerve was initially damaged after the extraction I could probably only feel 20%, it is possibly at 40% now. I am not sure if any of it has to do with the fact that I am getting use to the feeling of numbness in that area.

I am wondering if anyone here has fully recovered from nerve damage, if so, how long was the recovery? I do not want to lose hope.

15 Years with Inferior Alveolar Nerve Damage

I received permanent inferior alveolar nerve damage approx. 15 years ago during a wisdom tooth extraction. I left medical care about 8 years ago after I was informed the associated orofacial pain had sensitized. I try to keep up with the medical literature for advances, but there don't really appear to have been many. Looks like this is because permanent injury is rare, but maybe also compounded by folks like me getting lost to follow up.

So, in case it might be helpful...anyone have any questions about what it's like to have permanent IAN damage and/or neuropathic orofacial pain?

And, just shouting into the void here, any other permanent IAN damage unicorns out there?

Dentists: Inferior Alveolar Nerve

So two weeks ago I had my wisdom teeth removed. My lower left side had some nerve damage (IAN). I am still recovering from that, and still have a very slight numbness on that lower left side, mainly my front left gum, lip, and part of my chin.

I am set to go to my normal dentist soon to get some cavities filled on that lower left side. Should I wait until my inferior alveolar nerve has completely healed before they numb it again? Or do they even numb that nerve for basic dental procedures? I don’t want to delay the healing of the IAN by any means.

Is this wisdom tooth close to the Inferior alveolar nerve ? Risk of nerve damage?

So, i never discussed with my dentist the possibility to remove this wisdom tooth, but I am wondering is it close to this nerve ? I see a line under it, which seems a bit close, and there is another one which goes straight to the teeth? I'm taking about my third molar on the right side, bottom one. For the alveolar gas equation, why do we subtract inspired O2 with arterial CO2? Surely we should subtract with venous CO2 instead since it’s the veins that bring the CO2 and cause the mixing of alveolar oxygen with CO2.

What artery feeds the inferior portion of the heart? (II, III, aVF)

According to FA, it's the RCA, and according to Uworld, it's the PDA. I know the PDA is usually a branch off the RCA, but what confuses me is that FA specifically notes that the PDA feeds the "posterior" portion of the heart (V7-V9) but doesn't mention it in the blurb about II, III, and aVF. Thank you so much!

I have severe unilateral tinnitus, and my recent high-resolution contrast MRI revealed vascular loops in the anterior inferior cerebellar artery on the affected side.

Audiologist states that my hearing is better than perfect. My tinnitus is louder than the spray of water as you stand in the shower.

Does anyone have any experience with this diagnosis? Has anyone had the surgery to correct the compression of the acoustic nerve?
