Design an inertial measurement unit.

Dear all,

If I can compute quaternion vector from Magnetometer, Accelerometer and Gyroscope data.
How can I verify that my calculation is correct?
Can you suggest me some way to verify the data?
Thank you a lot

How to design an inertial measurement unit.

Dear all,

I am trying to design an IMU from Magnetometer, Accelerometer and Gyroscope. Using STM32 to print quaternion values . But I really dont know where should I start.
Can someone suggest some materials and give some advice about the problems that I can have when implementing this?

Thank you so much!

I made this self balancing robot as a summer project. It uses a 6 dof inertial measurement unit and Arduino for control algorithms. Balancing is done with PID control to set motor velocity. Full CAD, parts list, and code is available on my github which is in the YouTube description. :) youtu.be/PNKXGorAnBg

Calculating Attitude (Pitch, Roll, and Yaw) From an Inertial Measurement Unit.

I am an EE student developing a Kalman Filter for embedded attitude prediction. My extent of classical mechanics goes up to statics. What mechanics equations would I need to put into my state transition matrix to solve for pitch roll and yaw from the output of an Inertial Measurement Unit.
