I’m writing a book that requires frequent conversion of currency values between Indian Rs and British pounds. The various websites (not many) seem to offer very different answers. Or maybe it’s my poor calculation. Any resources that you can suggest?

I'm from Thiruvananthapuram Kerala (India) I'm living with my parents due to the lockdown, I've come back from university (Tamil Nadu) I've paraphrased the email my mom sent to the police regarding the turn of events removing personal info.
My Mom's sister's husband tested COVID positive and was admitted to a Multi specialty Hospital in Thanjavur (tamilnadu) on 30.04.2021 His condition was worsening day by day. On 13.05.2021, at 9 pm, we were informed from the hospital that they urgently required the medicine Tocilizumab Injection as a last attempt to save his life. We tried all across Tamilnadu and Kerala but learnt that it was in acute shortage everywhere. My mom posted a request to all through Whatsapp. All friends and relatives tried to help us and gave us various numbers across the country. On 14.05.2021, my mom tried all the numbers but got negative response from all and except one number; a Medical lab in Kanchipuram. The lady who answered told me that the call has landed in another institution and not the medical lab. My mom told her my requirement and she send me an email containing three address of suppliers of this injection.
My mom contacted the first address of a well renowned shipping company. She was told that the medicine was available. He send me a account number along with Ph. IFSC code to transfer an amount of Rs 10500-as advance and Ra 10,000/- was to be paid to the delivery agent when the medicine would be delivered at the hospital.

As the patients condition was worsening He assured her that the medicine will reach before 11am. At around 10.32 am, a person named Dan (fake name) called her and told me that he is the Delivery agent and needed delivery charges of Rs 10,000/- immediately she called back the first number. He told her it is the already agreed amount of Rs 10,000/-, and asked her to transfer this amount also which she immediately did (10.41am) and send him screenshot through Whatsapp. At 11.10am, the delivery agent Dan (fake name) called the patients daughter in Thanjavur whose number was already communicated and told her that he was detained by police who were demanding Rs 7500/,He sent her an account number for transferring the amount.
