A list of puns related to "Hyperpigmentation"
pretty much the title, yeah i love myself and etc..but i still want to have a perfect skin with no dark spots, so whatβs your tips?
i started using hydroquinone but i havenβt been consistent with it, i take vitamin c supplements too as i heard they make your skin lighter.
whatβs your methods?
I feel like a lot of WOC get hyperpigmentation in the mouth area. I noticed it got worse when i use certain toothpastes. I do think Crest whitening toothpaste causes hyperpigmentation, so i started putting vaseline all around my mouth before brushing my teeth. I wash my face after in the day and night and my hyperpigmentation has decreased! Also arbutin from the ordinary helps. Sorry if this has been said before.
I've been struggling with hyperpigmentation for years now, about 4. I've tried so many things but the truth is a lot of otc ahas, bhas and "brightening agents" aren't about to help for persistent hyperpigmentation. I have dark spots that have been around for at least 2 years and I feel like I don't see progress in them. Hopefully Tretinoin and Hydroquinone can help me because everyday I'm more discouraged and saddened. My skin has very nice texture and tone but the dark spots are EVERYWHERE. I'm not even sure if trying to spot treat with hydroquinone would be applicable, I'd be sitting in the bathroom for hours and it makes me so sad.
I've been looking for a serum (or anything really lol) to clear up some new and old hyperpigmentation spots from acne and just even out my skin tone overall. The Inkey List Tranexamic Acid and the Good Molecules Discoloration Serum seem to both have pretty good reviews and similar price points, so I've been debating between which one to try out! Wondering if anyone else has tried both/either one (or something better for hyperpigmentation!) and has any suggestions/recommendations/etc? TYIA :)
Hi all! I grew up in a sunny country and did not take proper preventative steps with regular use of SPF. I am noticing hyperpigmentation on my upper lip and uneven skin tone and brown spots on my nose and cheeks. Given the wide range of products out there, do you have any recommendations of what to do or products to use? Thank you!
I've had PIH for years on my face and body but no product seems to help it. I always use a tyrosinase inhibitor + an Aha for months before I switch to a new product. I've tried MANY tyronase inhibitors both OTC and Rx(including hydroquinone,20%azaeliac acid, tretinoin etc.) and also Rx tranexamic acid pills from my dr With no luck. I've also done chemical peels(salicylic, glycolic, lactic, tca) and my skin peels but there's no difference in my PIH colour. I've also done microdermabrasion and LED at my derm, again no difference. Please help this is making me upset. 20F.
I see a lot of posts saying their skin cleared after x months, but does that also include your red marks (hp) because that is my main issue to be honest, currently almost 2 months in on 40mg
I amd a 24 year old boy, failed to give attention tackling hyperpigmentation around my mustache that started a couple of years ago during early stages of shaving. It is getting problematic now as it gets darker, i cant give a clean shave look anytime because of this. Please help me with some routines or cream.
I try to stay out of the sun and i never pick my acne but it seems like every pimple i have leaves a red mark after and now my face is full of these marks. It makes me look like i have way more active acne than i have too. I desperately want this to go away, what are some products that helped for those with a similar situation?
y'all i've tried everything and my hyperpigmentation from acne scarring has not been able to go awayyy. I've gotten 2 chemical peels (which i dont think were strong enough) and I did a 50% glycolic acid peel myself. I wear sunscreen n everything but not much has changed :(
any product suggestions are welcome <3
I have a lot of hyperpigmentation and acne scaring from products burning My face and doing most of the damage myself by picking at my face to get the black/white heads out and washing my face way to hard and making it sore which caused dark spots on my face to get way darker.
I don't really have any bad acne just bad scaring.
Can someone please give me advice and help to clear my face up, please?
I keep looking at products with high amounts of vitamin c, tranexamic acid, azelaic acid, etc. But it occurs to me that heaping on more actives might do more harm than good. Other than those two actives, my routine consists mostly of repairing ingredients (ceramides, panthenol, peptides, etc), various non-vitamin c antioxidants (niacinamide, green tea, Q10, etc.) and lots of SPF. I know that adding more products aimed at hyperpigmentation will likely speed up the process, but if I'm satisfied waiting several months to see noticeable results, do I really need anything else?
EDIT: forgot to mention that my hyperpigmentation is entirely acne-related, not melasma.
I started using vitamin C, retinol, and niacinamide for my "beard shadow". And doing research on it, I found out that it is also a type of hyperpigmentation. So, after using vitamin C, I have seen an immense improvement in my skin tone. The dark spots and grey tone has decreased quite a bunch.
I do not have any visual proof of it but before using the products I checked my skin closely. Does this usually happen or am I just lucky? (According to Wiki it takes about a few months to see results. So I'm confused)
P.S.: I also use BHA and AHA.
Hey y'all, so a few months ago I shaved all of my body hair off and ended up with some pretty nasty pimples and ingrown hairs. They've since healed but I've been left with some hyperpigmentation on my legs and stomach. I know they will eventually heal on their own but I was wondering if there was some kind of body wash anyone could recommend to accelerate the fading, perhaps something with an AHA?
Thanks!
Can you use tretnoin for hyperpigmentation and dull skin?
hello, i started using so many face products ( snail muccin 96, good molecules niacinamide brightening toner, paulaβs choice 2% exfoliate, good molecules hyaluronic acid, kojic acid and trenton 0.05) which made my skin barrier really bad. i know thatβs a lot of product, i got so carried away and just really wanted clear skin before going back to school.
my former skin care routine before using these products were ceraVe foaming cleanser, cerave moisturizer and neutrogena hydro boost gel 50 sunscreen in the morning and cerave healing ointment in the night. i also used kojic acid anytime i noticed i got dark spots and my skin was so clear unfortunately my acne came back mid-september.
would you recommend this as a new skin care routine to fix my skin barrier while getting rid of hyperpigmentation?
