A list of puns related to "Hoylake"
In the course of my political career I must confess that I didnβt expect to join the ranks of the House of Lords, however, as recent events have highlighted this shameful government needs all the oversight possible and so I now sit in the House of Lords as Baroness Hoylake.
I chose Hoylake for several reasons, firstly because it is close to my former constituency of Merseyside but also because it is where my grandmother received her education and gained a passion for the field that led to her becoming a fantastic teacher in her own right.
It is rather apt that I would enter into the House of Lords inspired by my grandmothers educational career during a time when those in the LPUK are trying to push forward legislation that would open up the doors to the mass return of grammar school's, now I personally believe that grammar school's effectively creates a more unequal education system where one school gets a greater number of resources or more experienced teaching staff and poorer students tend to suffer due to their exclusion from these grammar school's, as by average less than half of grammar school students come from working class backgrounds.
It is also interesting legislation because it removes the ability of local communities to make their own decision on the provision of grammar school's, quite a curious choice as previous arguments in favour of grammar school's have focused on communities having the choice to vote for the introduction of grammar school's.
Just a short while ago I wrote about the utter contempt that the LPUK were holding the British people on through their decision to retain the disgraced Greetjatus in cabinet because they know that they canβt be held to account by parliament and now theyβve seemingly extended that to the field of education by removing the premise of choice from local communities and trying to force grammar school's upon them.
I think that such an interjection is most unwise and underscores the arrogance that has returned to the benches of the LPUK once more, now they can return to whataboutism by continuing to throw insults my way or they can actually address the issues that have been raised during the past few days.
I sincerely hope it is the latter but in the meantime I will be using my new position in the House of Lords to hold this government to account and fight for the people. If you have any issues you wish to see raised or problems that I can help with please donβt hesitate to contact me and I hope that
