A list of puns related to "Hellbound"
All episodes on Netflix now. From the direcetor of Train to Busan.
Haven't watched the show, but this was massively hyped by Reddit. Hope it's good.
Part way through and so far I like it, I know people werenβt particularly fond of the CG but personally it didnβt bother me at all because the rest of it was so well done.
edit: just finished and its so freaking goodd it definitely is a bit slow at first but so so worth it if you keep watching
My problem with kdramas is that they're too long for me, dragged out with filler episodes and so on. I usually warm up by episode 3 and then absolutely love it till episode 10 then find myself not wanting to go another 6 - 10 episodes.
Fast forward to Silent Sea, even though it was mixed. I really liked it despite its flaws. I just figured it's cos I'm bias towards Bae. Absolutely love watching her since Kingdom.
Now I'm midway through Hellbound and I realize, it's the length that make these perfect. Instead of feeling like I need to knock out another episode, I'm actually saving it for another day which is great.
I love the language, production, acting, everything about kdramas, I just needed the pacing to be right which these short ones are. It's compacted perfectly without feeling too rushed or having to sit through fillers.
So I was wondering if there were any other good ones that are below 10 episodes?
I have seen both seasons of Kingdom and squid game. Enjoyed both.
Just finished reading The Hellbound Heart, and omg one of my favorite horror stories of all time. It was my first time read a book by Barker, and I was wondering if there is anything else in his bibliography that captures a similar vibe.
I saw the trailer and the concept looked interesting but I read some reviews and it said that the show was bad and they wouldn't recommend it to anyone so now I'm conflicted if I should just not waste my time or watch the show.
To anyone who has watched hellbound should I watch it?
Edit: Thank you for all the comments, I decided to give it a go and I'm already 3 episodes in and it's great. Yoo ah in's acting is amazing!
Just released limited series (6 episodes) from the writer-director of Train to Busan, I was wondering if anyone else is watching.
I'm only halfway through and I am quite enjoying it. I do have to say I don't find it very scary, I'd label it more a mystery-thriller with some supernatural elements. I'll finish watching tomorrow, but right now I have NO IDEA where it's going for the final three episodes.
Official Netflix description:
>Unearthly beings deliver bloody condemnations, sending individuals to hell and giving rise to a religious group founded on the idea of divine justice.
YES. YES. YES.
Y E S.
This is what I'm talking about! This!
Modern-day cults are not at all what general society would think of as a "cult" (aka: uniforms, rituals, etc.), they are extremely good at hiding their harmful teachings, and tend to portray themselves as "happy families (they often use the family dynamic to seem more relatable to those with children because children are easy to indoctrinate) just following [Insert Deity here]'s wonderful plan for us."
You don't see the rituals they do for the dead as a newcomer or an outsider. You may have seen the "funny underwear" uniforms they wear as a meme or joke, but they actually wear them becauseβthey are taughtβit symbolizes their devotion to God and protects the wearer from sin or temptation. You don't read the special booklets that tell you your very human nature is a sin (desiring sex). That if you are born a certain way (LGBT), you are a sin and need to change who you are. You don't see that women are treated as lesser than men (men get a special connection to god while women do not). You don't see what little girls have to talk about with old men behind closed doors. You don't know it's deeply racist history.
You see two men or two women, dressed well, smiling, at your front door, offering to talk to you about our Lord and Savior.
I didn't even know I was in a cult until my late teens, I thought all of it was normal: to fear the internet, to fear thinking the wrong thoughts, to fear anything but a handshake with another person, to fear loving another man or loving a woman, to fear sex, to live in constant fear because members are taught our mortal life is a test; if you're good enough, pure enough, you'll die and be with your family forever.
But if you "sin"?
You are told you will never see your family again in the afterlife. That you will be sent to Outer Darkness (aka: Hell). This teaching alone is why you see openly gay men marrying women and having children in this cult. To people on the outside, it's interesting, a bit sad, or even absurd to see. "Just leave her and get with a man! It's so obvious!", "Why on earth would a gay man do that?", etc. It is a living hell for those men, but they won't stop because the fear of hell, of loneliness for eternity, of not being pure enough for heaven, is very real.
That is how good they are at hiding it.
Most members never know it is a cult and defend it till their last breath because they are taught from birth that
... keep reading on reddit β‘I was out of his sight for 20 minutes but he was just spawn camping my chopper and then when I would try to exfill he would stop me. so I got mad and just left the mission area out of anger but it just cancelled the mission and I was on it for 2 hours. Do I have to use the chicken helmet?
Hi, if you like or dislike any of these movies that's cool, this is for discussion purposes only. No intent to start an argument here. No one is right or wrong. I personally enjoy of these films but have criticisms of them too and definitely prefer some to others.
Note: I have only included the Doug Bradley films and decided to leave out Hellbound as it was made before the rights were sold and the franchise became commercialised. π
Iβm mad it took me so long to watch a k drama haha. I watched squid game and loved it and started hellbound and ended up loving that one too. Now Iβm not sure where to go from here but i know I want to watch something dark psychological and maybe scary.. Iβve seen a couple of recommendations on here but I donβt know which ones I should start with
So I recently found this gem on Netflix. I believe it was really good. Its a South Korean movie, but there is a dubbed english version.
I dnt want to give away any spoilers for those who havent watched it. But the overall concept is very well thought out. It was only one season. And I think it only had 8 episodes or so, but they put so much in those few episodes. I had a basic idea of how it would play out. Boy was I wrong. So incredibly wrong. Everytime I thought I had the plot figured out, the story threw me a curveball.
Have you guys watched this yet? If you have can we try and have a spoiler free discussion about what tickled you about this strange little series. I wonder if the ending was the End. Or if there will be more episodes or series to explain what happened. That ending was such a cliffhanger.
Let me know your thoughts!
This went live today on Netflix, its pretty brutal but I'm very entertained so far. Its quite dark but has a lot of explanation and seems to be moving along rapt a good pace. The CG is good and the monsters are exceptionally violent! I really enjoy the fact its dubbed too as I do tire of reading an entire TV series worth of subtitles as uncultured as that may make me! If you're looking for something dark and sinister check it out.
Tittle
The "truth" and "arrowhead" makes the viewers believe that the monsters "attack" those who have committed extraordinary sins..
However it made no sense that a decree was put on a baby (2nd half of the series)
Show did a good job "hiding" what the woman with two kids earlier in the series actually did wrong...
but I guess a good reason was to protect the children reputation
Jin Soo (Yoo Ah In) ..... also received a decree to go to hell 20 years ago....and for what? It seemed like he was experiencing a tragic life actually (orphan)
If the "monsters" don't only go after those that sinned..... what is the reason why innocent people have a stamp on their back?? Any theories?
Religious cults more especifically.
It's a very interesting watch, it's basically about people who gets a message from "An angel" that they'll die at a certain point in time, and "The demons" get there that day and tear the person apart.
It's very non-subtle with it's anti-fanaticism message, but behind that, there's some compelling storytelling and can make you want to keep watching.
For example, on episode 4 >!everyone believes that these "angels" only target sinners, but then a newborn gets a message!<
It's a show that shows how people can take random unexplainable events and try to put into a specific context for their own benefit, to bend and fit their own rules into it so that they can pretend that they have the answers, so scared folk can just give them money.
TL;DR: Good Korean show, on Netflix, watch if you're interested.
$HELL is here π₯
We are not the first Hellbound project, but we will definitely be the last one standing. Our vision is big but with our continuously growing strong community that we are trying to build, anything can be doneπͺ! This project has recently launched and we are excited for its growth potential. We pride ourselves on making use of growing the community legitimately, and are pleased that our telegram group has exceeded 500 members and BSC token holders have crossed 450 since launching about a week ago, all with no use of bots or spam/artificial hype services! Within the last week we have seen multiple hellbound projects pop up so please do your own diligence and choose wisely. Immediately you will notice their groups use bots, restrict posts or ban members who ask genuine questions, and their holders do not line up with the total users in their telegram groups (i.e. 50 holders for 7k telegram members), immediately those projects should raise red flags to you.

So Iβm getting a little confused with the canon hereβ¦ the way I had originally seen it is the movies are non-canon and Hellbound Heart + Scarlet Gospels are the actual canon but I had read the description for Hellraiser: The Toll and it mentions events that transpire before Harry DβAmorβs story is told in Scarlet Gospels making it sound like The Toll takes place in the main canon (books). I began reading The Toll and was confused when Kirsty is named βKirsty Cottonβ and Larry (in the book: Rory) is her father and not just a friendβ¦ this immediately places The Toll in the movie universe and not HBH/SG universe.
Is there any kind of clarification out there to help clear up whatβs going on? Is HBH a standalone story and SG actually a part of the movie canon or was the description for The Toll referencing the plot of SG for a sales boost?
*Note: I havenβt finished The Toll yet but I donβt care if anything is spoiled
Its amazing how the show depicts the STUPIDITY of organised religions it is so smart and mind boggling, itβs like watching how Islam and its preachers acted for 1400 years and how they indoctrinated the masses but in such mocking ways yet serious idk how to explain you guys should watch it

I just binged it and had the most fun in the last 3 weeks.
It got the well written dialoges in the style of Death note and the hard grafic violense that forces the charackters into their emotional ethic limits. How far will YOU go with their decisions?
There was one scene thad made me stand up out of my chair and had me clap in awe to the TV, alone in my room.
You should all watch it
I'm watching it with english subtitles with Korean (original) audio. He's awesome! Really enjoying the show so far. I'd say more, but I don't wanna spoil it.
Not so hidden but highly recommend! Same genre as the Wailing - paranormal mystery.
Here's the basic premise - people start getting "angelic" premonitions announcing their death. At that exact time, three "demons" appear out of nowhere, give the person a "taste of hell" and obliterate them.
A religion called New Truth rises up saying that this is a sign from God to repent for your sins. People working against them say it's a supernatural disaster that happens to both good people and bad.
Thought the story was tightly wound with great characters and variables. Loved every minute and waiting for season two - check out the trailer: https://youtu.be/LtdXK6yNFN0
Has anyone watched it? What are your thoughts? Also any theories on what the last episode means?
Thanks!
Update: Thanks everyone for weighing in! Wanted to add that it's by the same Writer/Director of Train to Busan and Peninsula. Also it was originally a webtoon.
No Spoilers Please We are all in different time zones and not everyone has had the opportunity yet to watch the whole series!

I been telling everyone Kdrama are becoming a new trending thing. The main lead for hellbound is also pretty good looking and looks like heβs in his teens despite being in his 30s.
Cowboy bebop even made it to Number 2.
I invested in more than 5 hellbound tokens and all of them were scams except one https://t.me/coinhellbound
