A list of puns related to "Leatherbound"
I've been looking into collecting some leather bound books, which invariably leads one to Easton Press and the old Franklin library collections.
But I keep noticing that a lot of these books have their texts printed in narrow columns, often very close to the spine with a massive margin on the outer edge of the page. I don't find it appealing at all really.
Is there any particular reason they do this?
Are there any plans to make some? I would love to have my favourite series ever in some high quality Leatherbound! Like the Brandon Sanderson ones...
Nice WOT art, beautiful maps! Would be the dream..
I was taking a look at the store page and it looks like the Elantris leatherbound page now says unsigned like the most recent posting of the first Mistborn leatherbounds. I was under the impression that there would be one more signed printing of Elantris before it switch to being unsigned. Did this plan change?
EDIT: Thanks to all for the many replies with helpful advice. It's clear to me now based on how others treat theirs that I shouldn't have just held the book while reading, that's disaster waiting to happen very quickly indeed. I'll find a way for the future to make sure it can rest on a surface while I can maintain good posture. I've also opened a ticket with the store to get their opinion. Hopefully they have some of the old leather color earmarked for support tickets and they'll let me purchase one as a replacement. If not, we'll consider this a lesson learned and a book touched by Ruin. :)
original:
I've gotten to page 575 or so of The Final Empire, and noticed my hand had a bunch of black/gold specs. I look at the spine of the book and see that the foil on the spine is basically 25% gone. I gave a very short rub to a piece that was already damaged and what was left there just kind of rubbed right off.
Now I don't mind it that much. It's a bit sad for the price, but I guess it adds character, and with what I hear about the leather color matching I won't be able to replace it anyway. Might as well stay in the spirit of Kelsier and smile about it.
However, I'd rather not have them all look this badly once I'm done with them. And I mean.. I gotta hold the book to read it, right? Where/how do other LB owners read these books in a way that avoids rubbing the foil off the spine or covers? (my front and back cover are still immaculate btw, the tiniest details in the metal icons are still sharp as ever)
Hey folks, as I'm sure has been a topic of discussion here recently, I received a few leatherbound books for Christmas. I'm wondering about the best way to display them. I was thinking about maybe buying a few book stands off of amazon or something like that but it's hard to gauge quality online and they are all relatively expensive. What are some tips or advice you have for displaying the leatherbounds?

Will there ever be signed copies of the final Empire leatherbounds again? Or do we at least know sth about that?
Ordered 29th Nov, expected delivery to Ireland with FedEx on 15th December, latetesr update was 8th December (in transit in Memphis, Tennessee). Still has not arrived :/
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced similar delivery delays ordering to Europe (specifically Ireland)? According to Fedex, the delivery is still "Pending".
I didn't select expedited shipping, so with the holiday season and Covid, I honestly expected some delays, but not a whole month. Obviously this is an issue with FedEx not DragonSteel, but is there any way of getting more info or speeding up the delivery (other than burning Bendalloy)?
Has anyone heard any information on what the release schedule for the leatherbound dragonsteel books will be like? Will there be White Sand and Arcanum Unbounded leatherbounds? Will the novellas find their way into their own thinner versions or included in the chronologically closest books? Are they all planned on being kickstarters? Is the Alloy of Law behind schedule since it came out in 2011?
Inquiring minds want to know!
It's the ones I'm missing now and I love the look of the Warbreaker leatherbound so I'm hoping they're going to be back in stock soon.
Hey guys, I recently bought a leatherbound copy of Warbreaker and by some miracle, got double shipped. Since I donβt need two copies, Iβd like to give one away to a fellow cosmere fan. Leave a comment about your favorite cosmere character, and Iβll choose a person at random to receive the book. Best of luck!
Edit: Hey guys, this got a lot more comments than I was expecting. Once we hit 500 comments Iβll pick a random number. And that post will be the winner
Edit: The drawing is over. Congrats to u/dansantcpa. Thanks to everyone who participated. This was awesome!
So, I went to order the way of kings leatherbound today and they were out of stock. Does anyone know when they might be back in stock? Itβs the only leatherbound Iβm missing now
So I've just found out that 2 books I own are leatherbound, and I couldnt find any information about 2 more, but it seems like they are likely to be leatherbound as well.
What's the most ethical thing to do with them?
Is there any information on if there will be a kickstarter for Mistborn era 2 or is kickstarter only used for the stormlight books?
All 3 Mistborn leatherbounds just came back in stock today at 10am MST.

Working on a Stormlight project and noticed the WOK leatherbounds have glyphs along the borders. I can clearly identify an R and an A, but the rest could be mash up of several. Is there any confirmation of what the glyph says, in WOB or otherwise?

Went on sale just now for Cyber Monday - finally managed to complete my collection!
Just putting this out there to see if reddit can confirm or deny whether I'm crazy.
I own every single leatherbound and haven't read any of them, and I don't ever intend to. Am I crazy?
Thanks :)
PS: I own every one of his books in paperback also
Hello all. I've been a fan of Sanderson's books for a while and recently came across his leatherbound store and the books available there. I like collecting books and generally collect hardcover copies of books that I love. However, I love the look and the idea of buying leatherbound books, especially for Mistborn and Stormlight since they are ranked in my top 3 books series of all time by any author. Although I was too late to the party to buy the Way of Kings leatherbound Kickstarter, I'd like to start collecting the leatherbound copies of both Mistborn and Stormlight. Considering the following facts: I love the books, I can afford the books, and I would like to collect them; is there any reason I should not buy the leatherbound books or anything I should be aware of?
Thank you very much.
I was looking on the Dragonsteel site and saw that the leatherbound Mistborn: The Final Empire was not signed however the leatherbound versions of The Well of Ascension and The Hero of Ages are. Does anyone know why this is?
Do we have any indication if the leatherbound books on dragonsteelbooks.com will have stock replenished in time for Christmas?
Hi everyone. I've only recently discovered the Stormlight Archive and missed out on the first tranche of books. Does anybody know what the going price for a signed and numbered leatherbound edition is?
They seemed to answer this but just wanted to double check for fear.
From Dragonsteel Books, because they're on the second printing, all 3 Mistborn leatherbound are the same height now correct?
And the new colors for the books, all orders from Dragonsteel should be the same color now? So if I order 2 of the signed copies now, and wait for the The Final Empire to come back with a signed version, they are all going to be the same new color? The two that are signed and available aren't the old color Corona?
I'm debating with myself on getting Hero Of Ages or waiting until Warbreaker comes back in stock. Warbreaker's leatherbound is just straight-up gorgeous, that's my top leatherbound pick, but if it's not coming back in stock for a while I'm gonna have to settle for Hero Of Ages, I'm only planning to buy a Sanderson leatherbound once so you see my dilemma
TLDR; Any news about Warbreaker leatherbounds coming back into stock?
At the start of the month I bought one of the Leatherbounds of WoK that were left after the Kickstarter. It said that I would get a mail once they got sent/shipped, but I havenβt heard anything sinceβ¦ is this normal and so yes when could I expect them to get shipped?
