Let me start by saying I am very aware that the CLOSEST comparison to La Yuqawam Homme by Rasasi is TF Tuscan Leather and I'm not arguing against that point.

With that out of the way, I keep reading and my own experience has been that La Yuqawam Homme is slightly more fruity and Tuscan Leather, which is why I'm bringing up Parfums de Marly Godolphin.

To my nose La Yuqawam Homme and Godolphin smell SUPER close, even moreso than Tuscan Leather.

Am I uncultured swine or are they really that close? What has your experience been?

I am really wanting find a good leather fragrance to add to my collection.

It should be said that I have zero experience with leather scents, but I want to start expanding my collection.

I just got a decant of Parfums de Marly Godolphin and I have smelled Ombré Leather off tester strips.

I'm hoping I can get some experienced feedback here. If there is something else entirely you think I should check out I'm all ears.

So far I'm about 10 min into having sprayed this decant on skin as the extent of my experience.

I can't find too much debate online regarding these scents. Most will say they don't directly compete against each other but I beg to differ. They're quite similar.

I have a spray of each on both arms, and remain completely undecided. I love the sharpness and increased leather of OL, but something about Godolphin that I find special.

What's the consensus regarding value, performance etc?

Do you like leather? I mean - when I say leather - are you like 'rub me with it baby!? Then this is your cup of leather. Its leathery. But - it's also slight sweet. The fruit/saffron in this is just right - like the leather knows how to pick backup singers. Or maybe a leather jacket, wearing an undershirt of dried fruits and saffron? Whatever, you get it.

Nasomatto Fantomas is a new release from the house. Bought it to sample.. like it, don't love it. I am more used to their darker scents. This one, while very likable, isn't for me. Notes are a mystery but are slowly coming to reviews; I get sweet lemon and melon opening with a foggy airy vanilla heart and a musky woody base....$35 shipped
