A list of puns related to "Flowmeter"
What would be optimal placement of flow meters for water glycol system?
Quick run down of system is fresh water feed and closed loop glycol feed. Glycol feeds hvac and chiller then goes to small heat exchanger to chill water. Water feeds a Process then returns to heat exchanger.
I know flowmeters after pumps but should I be worried anywhere else in the system?
Hello all,
I'm looking for a good waterflow meter for my pool. I see couple of options on amazon, but I don't know if that is the best option. I have a Pentair pump and I see in the app that there is an option to display waterflow but since I have no sensor, it doesn't report any value. I have been trying to find a flowmeter from Pentair, but I came empty handed.
Any recommendations?
I'm looking at buying a couple new regulators/flowmeters for my new 300 CuF tanks, I'm currently using:
I'm using a mix of cheapish/included with the machine/included in cheap oxy acetylene kit regulators. I've been looking at getting proper ones that won't break when I look at them sideways.
I weld in my shop but do field work multiple times a month so I'm trying to find gauges that will resist a couple tumbles out of the tool box.
Any recommendations that won't totally bankrupt me?
Hello everyone.
So, I’d like to know why flowmeters are not counting when the engine is stopped. Let me be specific. In ships, we have a fuel oil supply pump with a flowmeter on the outlet. From the outlet the fuel goes to fuel oil circulating pump and then to the engine roughly speaking. These pumps are running whether the engine is running or is stopped. Why while the supply pump is running while the engine is stopped the flowmeter is not counting? This might be a silly question but I’ve always wanted to know.
True, I could have caught the CPU block getting plugged a bit earlier (flow started degrading around the beginning of March), but since it was such a slow process I didn't see it on the daily charts until I noticed the absolute flow value. This is over the course of the last 12 months.
After a good cleaning + coolant change it's back where it's supposed to be (around 50L/h).
Before anyone asks, it's 8/6mm tubing and the ancient block has G1/8 fittings, so that's the reason why the flow is so low. But as it's in a server that idles most of the time anyway, that's ok. I may swap the block with a better one sometime, though.

Had a flowmeter that's not been working for months, finally figured out the problem. I work as part of a 5 man team on shifts, so this has been going for a while as we've all played pass the parcel. I've been hoping the more experienced guys would sort it out, but they're just batting out till retirement.
It was a really simple fault in the end. The pulse width of the flowmeter was too narrow. The plc/hardware couldn't detect the too small a pulse. Widened it out from 20ms to 100ms and it started working.
There was a bit more trial and error to it than that, but that's what it boiled down to in the end. I still hate flowmeters. Give me a DP cell anyday.
I've had some conflicting people talk to me about adding flowmeters to my draft lines to track my inventory better. I know I need a solution to help me manage that inventory better but I've heard some people talk about how flowmeters can mess up the beer. Does ANyone have any experience with flow meters good or bad?
Prices do not have shipping. Prefer not to ship the case as I do not have the box it came in so I cant guarantee it will get there safe.

I have a project that requires measurement of water flow in a few dozen pipes and tubing 2" or smaller. Does anyone have experience with a good portable ultrasonic flowmeter?
