A list of puns related to "Flight To Quality"
Doordarshan is a old government owned broadcaster well past its heyday when it held a monopoly broadcasting for a pan India market. Since the entrance of private broadcasting networks, Doordarshan has seen a dramatic decrease in viewership despite the fact that its streaming services are enforced pan India. This has left Doordarshan to heavily depend on government funding as much as 68% and left the service with as IndiaToday politely puts it " a poverty of equipment". Doordarshan is also unfortunately blessed with a "lax attitude" and a "Crippling Lack of creativity" in its broadcasting staff. In addition to all the institutional problems common in most state owned Indian enterprises, Doordarshan also operates a low band U-matic 3/4 inch system tape that is not used in most countries, which explains the grainy Republic day parade footage and the abhorrent quality of ISRO launch streams. "The technological practices at DD also remain outdated. While the world has moved on to digital transmissions, DD remains to be in possession of a network of 1412 analog transmitters, which it continues to broadcast over, despite the rapid fall in the number of televisions using analog transmissions." (news click.in).
The quality of Doordarshan's streaming services are so poor that it has actually been raised during Question Hour in parliament. To queries on the low quality of Doordarshan footage, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said that steps taken by the government to improve it, the minister said it was a "matter of fact" and added, "improving quality is an ongoing process and efforts are on." He said many steps have been taken to improve the quality of services of DD. For instance, about 17 High Definition (HD) vehicles are being used for better quality, studios have been modernised and video walls have been installed (NDTV.com). But at the end of the statement the minister disregarded quality control on Doordarshan by countering saying that DD is a free service!
In addition to destroying the quality of space flight footage and public outreach programs fundamental for the continuous public support of ISRO (no teenager will get excited seeing grainy footage of a rocket launching when they are surrounded 24*7 by high quality audio visual contraptions), the poor quali
... keep reading on reddit β‘In traditional financial markets, flight-to-quality is a financial market phenomenon where investors sell what they perceive to be higher risk investments and purchase safer ones. I believe the recent communications from various governmental agencies regarding ICOs is going to begin this flight-to-quality and I think it's a GOOD thing.
It's absurd that ICOs are being funded with the valuations they are when most have little more than a website, white paper, and a good marketing team. I'm not saying some won't be successful, but most have a long development cycle ahead of them and just plain don't deserve their current valuations. But due to the hot ICO market, substantial capital has been directly removed from the higher quality coins and/or not invested in them. I am of the opinion that trend is about to reverse. As such, I'm curious what your, "Flight-to-quality" coins are and WHY? Mine:
Bitcoin (BTC) - Need I say more?
Factom (FCT) - Factom has real world, currently operational products that solve enormous problems. They have substantial traditional funding from Venture Capital and will likely see additional funding from such sources in the future should they need to go that route. A large team who has, "Been there, done that" who have the technical and business acumen to not only create their data integrity and identity protocol, but properly market it to obtain widespread adoption.
A flight-to-quality is exactly what cryptocurrency needs at this point in time to be further legitimized. If we're going to be a free-er global market, we participants need to show that we can separate the wheat from the chaff and don't need protecting.
Note, I'm invested in both BTC and FCT so do your own research. Would anyone else like to share coins that solve real world problems and have working products ready for adoption? I'm only interested in QUALITY at this point.
Hey HyperX, i was wondering if the drivers on the new cloud flight s are the same as on the original cloud flights. Do they sound the same? Is there no hidden thing such as "Oh Wirless charger means less quality / less bass on the headset" or something? I understand this sounds stupid but theres consequences people sometimes dont think about
The most unrealistic thing to me in DCS is that every jet can be used as a low level supersonic missile. In reality flying off the deck at 500kts is not as pedestrian as DCS makes it. In fact some jets are unbearable flying fast at low level (F-15c).
I would love to see this modeled so that the true differences in these jets are shown. Something as simple as screen shake would do it. That way the true brilliance of the Viggen and others can show through while the air superiority guys will feel the pain down on the deck like they should.
Iβve never seen this come up but if we want a realistic sim this is as critical as turn rate to me.
Just kidding about the "flight to quality" part, but the Cryptopunks marketplace is really fun right now. The new marketplace contract was launched successfully and so you can now bid/ask on each punk. No super rare punks have changed hands recently, but there has been lots of action with regular punks, with sale prices anywhere from $10 to $100. Some punks have been "flipped" for 2x profit, too. It's a fun distraction from the bloodshed that's going on today.
I know this sounds oddly specific, but I've now gone through two sets of brown dress shoes in the exact same way. The toes just wear out after a couple months of flight instructing. I don't really understand why, maybe they're just shitty in general and it's not the flight instruction part.
Anyway, anyone have good brand suggestions? Typical work uniform is khakis with a black polo, so any type of brown shoe is probably fine.
Operating on an assumption that air travel will be disrupted due to Covid-19 for at least three months, how much will the world's air improve in that time? A lot? Not so much?
