not sure what the difference is but I discovered today that I've been using bread machine yeast the entire time and gotten drunk no issue.
you guys are missing the point. i imagine when most people say fleischmanns bread yeast they're referring to the active dry or rapid rise shit. i'm just saying if anyone happens to only have this on hand that it'll be just fine to use.

I am going to start my very first batch and I am aiming for the highest possible abv. I'm using Fleischmann's traditional yeast. I have 4L jugs for this, so is it reasonable to put, say, 2kg of honey in each jug or is that a waste since baker's yeast has a low alcohol tolerance? What can I do to make this as strong as possible?

Who: Kyle Fleischmann (DOB: 09/24/1983)
In the early morning hours of November 9, 2007, Kyle and his friends went to Buckhead Saloon in uptown Charlotte. His friends left by 1:00 am, but Kyle wanted to stay later. Surveillance video shows Kyle in a verbal altercation with two men - apparently Kyle had danced with one of their girlfriends earlier in the night. However, surveillance shows him leaving the bar unscathed, after last call, but he forgot his wallet, jacket and credit card in the bar. Kyle is seen entering Fuel Pizza, and an employee recalls seeing him around 2:30 am, saying Kyle ordered and paid for two slices of pizza, and was alone.
Kyle called his father, his roommate and his sister around 3:30 am, but did not leave a message. A local cab driver supposedly saw a man who looked like Kyle around 3:25 am, stating that Kyle appeared disoriented but did not stop to help him. Kyle's cell phone records confirm that Kyle was around the location at the time the cab driver supposedly saw him. Kyle's cell phone died shortly after 4:00 am and has not been turned on again. It is believed that Kyle was only carrying his car keys and approximately $6 in cash.
He was reported missing the following day when he did not show up to his work at Fidelity Investments and his parents and roommates did not know where he was. A search was conducted using surveillance video as a guide to try and trace Kyle's last steps. Dogs tracked Kyle's scent to NoDa, where construction was just starting on new condos. Kyle's parents believe he is buried under the apartment complex - investigators actually remember smelling a bad stench on the day of their search, but they did not find anything.
All of his roommates and friends he was with on the early morning he vanished were investigated and are not considered suspects in his disappearance. Kyle was not reported to have any personal or financial problems around the time of his disappearance, and friends said he was in great spirits the night/early morning he disappeared.
