A list of puns related to "Feigned"
This actually isn't my dad, but a friend's dad. We've all gone out to eat before, and at this specific restaurant, when you order ribs, they bring you out a bowl of hot water that has a lemon in it with a towelette to clean your hands with. And they always bring it out right before the ribs. Sooooo....every single time, my friend's dad will feign surprise and let out a shocking, "What?? I didn't order lemon soup!!" very loudly. Then he just chuckles to himself.
I think he has done it to every single server multiple times.
Every time. Every single god damn time anyone describes anything with it's color, and he's been doing it for as long as I can remember. Now that I'm out of the house, he's doing it to my 7 year old brother.
"Turn left right after the big yellow sign." "What color is it?"
"Dad, did you see the red firetruck?" "What color was it?"
Twenty years of this and he still think it's hilarious.
"So there is pontiac. Porsche. Packard.. You know what a Packard is, dont ya? Or is that a little before your time? How old are you? So you know what it is then, right?" So he sets up the joke incorrectly by not giving me a chance to name any. But to him, this joke is SO funny, there is no way to make it unfunny. ".. well none of them because they all start with gas." Then he turns and acts like he is about to walk out of the store, like he dropped the proverbial mic. So I feign a half smile & say "yep. Gas. Thats a good one."
My wife was working on a green bean casserole and couldn't find one of the ingredients.
Wife: Have you seen the can of fried onions?
Me: What does it look like?
Wife: White container, red writing.
Me [Feigning hopeful tones]: Little red writing?
Wife [Relieved]: Yeah!
Me: ...hood?
Wife brandishes knife.
Whenever we drove down a road that had a "SLOW KIDS" sign my dad would feign outrage and say "The city has no business making fun of the mentally handicapped!" or something to that effect.
