What are good plants for a shelf that don’t etiolate?

I bought a shelf for my room, but noticed that the plants that I put on it tend to grow towards the window (which it is right next to). This isn’t ideal as it makes the plants feel unbalanced to me.
The ones that I have that don’t seem to noticeably do this are the sansevieria, pothos (satin and n’joy) and curled leaf spider plant.
I plan to move the other plants (tradescantia, begonia maculata and various succulents) somewhere sunnier, but that leaves me with empty shelves to fill!
What plants would you suggest for a shelf with directional light? All suggestions appreciated!
