A list of puns related to "Encyclopaedism"
To be clear, Iβm looking for separate resources for two main areas of evolution study which are the history of life on earth and good biological anthropology text book like resource that describe in detail the fl ideas developed on Evolution of our species It will be good if itβs a books or sites where things are being constantly updated reflect new findings and ideas.
I have just started out with using Obsidian, and serious note-taking in general, and I have come across my first major hurdle. As I see it there are two different types of note I have made so far:
I have not been following a strict format with note taking and have more or less been going with the flow, but these feel like two discrete note formats and I'm not sure of the best way to deal with these two conflicting notes. Or do I just allow these two note types to exist in harmony and linkage? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Hi folks,
I'm trying to find an episode of I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again which I listened to as a kid, although I think the episode is likely to date from late 60s/early 70s. In the episode there's a scene where they're in the jungle. Two jokes I remember are 1. "and then our food ran out" followed by the sound of running feet and 2. "There's our native bearer... you don't get natives much barer than these".
Anyone know the episode?
Thanks

>In the end though itβs hard to fault what 343 Industries has accomplished with Halo Infinite. Itβs very much the spiritual successor it purports to be -- with forward thinking design and elements that flow in a way that reminds you of the timeless nature of the fluid, stylish combat of old. The lack of co-op is something you feel, but in terms of cinematic spectacle this is the Master Chief carrying the flag once more for Xbox. Albeit in that new-school form of being able to jump in and, well, play anywhere.

>Unencumbered by the baggage of the upcoming story campaign, Halo Infinite Multiplayer is arguably the definitive incarnation of the franchiseβs online competitive component and is strong enough to stand on its own despite its F2P leanings.

... keep reading on reddit β‘I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
This issue has plagued me for quite a while now and it bothers me that not many people can relate to it.
People have told me I'm 'talented' in writing. I guess you could say it's due to my flowery prose or my ability to express my ideas clearly, but regardless of what people say about my 'talent' I've always struggled with narrative-based storytelling.
You go through my short stories I wrote in my high school creative writing classes and I never felt invested nor comfortable in this mode of writing. Usually I'd have a bunch of ideas I can work with, but beyond that, never a coherent story I feel works well with said ideas.
Instead, I feel much more comfortable writing philosophical and analytical essays or just texts reciting some information, like an Encyclopaedic article. In fact, my earlier short stories seem to read more like Wikipedia articles than coherent stories.
When I was on an RPing website, I dedicated entire pages to a fantasy nation with its own judiciary, religion, military culture, etc. And somehow I felt at home with that and not creating stories within the nation.
Poetry on the other hand I'm equally comfortable in. I don't feel nearly the intense pressure to create a narrative out of them which makes me feel at ease when writing them.
I haven't written anything fully in a while, but regardless, I still get momentary urges to write an essay about an idea I want to express or an argument I want to challenge. Occasionally a short story idea but I almost always forget about them after I realise I don't like storytelling.
I sometimes feel defective when I can't find anyone that shares my sentiments especially when I look online. Like somehow I'm less of a writer for not writing a fantasy novel but instead an essay collection on Hindu metaphysics.
Anyone else share this sentiment?
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
Do your worst!
Ants donβt even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.

βThanks for these! I love them. Iβm working frontline and colouring is so destressing. It takes me several hours to relax my body to try to sleep which is nonexistent due to fear. But this is now a step to the cool down process.
Thank you for all that you do!β - Feedback that really made me smile and hope I can help more people.
If you have a unique dog, please send me a photo on Insta! I aim to draw at least one dog of each breed so always on the lookout for models.

Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"

Edit: Thank you guys for the awards, they're much nicer than the cardboard sleeve I've been using and reassures me that my jokes aren't stale
Edit 2: I have already been made aware that Men In Black 3 has told a version of this joke before. If the joke is not new to you, please enjoy any of the single origin puns in the comments
BamBOO!
Another big book!
Goodreads: The Western Mysteries (previously published as The Key of It All, Book II: The Western Mysteries), by David Allen Hulse, is perhaps the most comprehensive, in-depth description of various aspects of the Western magickal tradition ever published.
The uniting factor of this book is language. It begins with a discussion of the mysteries of the Greek alphabet, followed by the different forms of the Runes, and goes on to describe the mystical secrets of Latin. It also explores Enochian, where you will discover, for the first time ever, the correctly constructed Watchtower system.
The book also includes the mysteries of the Tarot, a pictorial language, and it describes the development of the esoteric Tarot, how to do readings, and the significance of the symbolism on the Tarot cards. It concludes with the English language and its relationship to the Tarot, Enochian, and more.
The introduction to The Western Mysteries serves as a complete introduction to the magickal tradition of the West. You will learn about the evolution of thought concerning the Elements, astrology, magick squares, geomancy, words of power, and more.
You will find that each section of this book is a key that unlocks the meaning behind another of the magickal languages that you can relate to your own spiritual system. It is ideal for a beginning student to explore the mysteries of Western magick. It is a necessary tool for more advanced students, as it has collected hundreds of charts and lists which clarify and identify the similarities and differences between various systems.
This is a reference book you will study over and over. The volume of information revealed makes The Western Mysteries an instant classic and a necessity for any spiritual practitioner.
