A list of puns related to "Email Address Internationalization"
Looking at you Halfords π
I have been facing issues with TI's TMS320F28377S C2000 MCU. I am currently a student in a US Public University with a valid university email address that I used to generate my account on TI. When I try to ask a question on the E2E forum, It says,
>To post on TI E2Eβ’ design support forums, you must have a valid company email address in your myTI account. If you have a valid company email address, please add it to your account by following the instructions in the myTI account FAQ (Note: there may be an ~10 minute delay for this email change to propagate to all necessary systems). If you donβt, we encourage you to search the TI E2E design support forums for existing answers.
I contacted support and they asked me to clear my browser cache and try again. Well, that didn't work too. It is unfortunate that TI isn't allowing students to post on their forums. They only want you to sort through existing questions. I couldn't find any questions that related to my issues for the processor under question.
Please guide me to other forums that support TI's C2000 MCUs.
Yeah.
So these are the clowns I pay hundreds of dollars a month just to live here.
Thatβs all Iβve got.
I know some laptop companies give student discounts, don't know about groceries though
Has anybody else posted about this yet?? The email ends with "Thank you. Power to the Creators." and then in white font (which is hidden) there is a 32 character alphanumeric string of some sort. Highlight the text from the email and you can see it.
I don't want to post mine in case they're unique to individuals or something?
Thoughts??
EDIT - Image added on location of the address with my info taken out:

Edit 2: Changed 33 characters to 32 characters....miscounted
This is possible in theory but I'm concerned about the practicality:
What if this shared IP is blacklisted simply on account of hosting so many domains? Do blacklists do this?
And suppose a less-aware business starts sending out spam and the shared IP gets blacklisted? Suddenly every domain hosted on this IP loses it's email deliverability??
This is a valid threat but I think there are several ways to prevent ending up in that situation:
Possible, after all, I believe. What do you guys think?
I've been in IT for about 23 years now. The last 20, I've been fortunate to be at a great shop, moved up through the ranks, good career, yay for me. Now, I've also had the same email address for 20 years. We use Google workplace, and it does a decent job of filtering emails. I have a few rules that pop emails into the correct folders, (labels if you want to get technical), but over the last year, I've started to come to a conclusion.
I am so sick of all the crap vendor/IT Newsletter crap that I get. I unsubscribe to most of the newsletter stuff, and just delete the crap sales/vendor stuff, but after 20 years of using this email address for almost everything, (my first mistake), I get a fair bit of junk. I'm seriously considering changing my email address. Has anyone gone this route?
Also, a public service announcement to all vendors, if you include "Is it time for a call/Trying one last time/Will you be joining our call today(that I never agreed to join)" or some other version of this, your email is going straight to spam.
Edit: Iβm dead. I was accepted two days ago. It was in my spam. What the fuck I didnβt need this stress
Just a quick edit. I'm not worried about this and would never fall for this. Plus wanking isn't illegal and I have no webcam. Oh and a wife so I'm covered π just thought you'd all enjoy seeing a attempted blackmail.
I'll copy the full email I received as I can't figure how to add screenshots of it. See the fishing blackmail below. His wallet address is in it. This was a week ago.

Hi!
Unfortunately, I have some bad news for you. Several months ago, I got access to the device you are using to browse the internet. Since that time, I have been monitoring your internet activity.
Here is the proof I hacked this email.
Being a regular visitor of adult websites, I can confirm that it is you who is responsible for this. To keep it simple, the websites you visited provided me with access to your data.
I've uploaded a Trojan horse on the driver basis that updates its signature several times per day, to make it impossible for antivirus to detect it. Additionally, it gives me access to your camera and microphone. Moreover, I have backed-up all the data, including photos, social media, chats and contacts.
Just recently, I came up with an awesome idea to create the video where you cum in one part of the screen, while the video was simultaneously playing on another screen. That was fun!
Rest assured that I can easily send this video to all your contacts with a few clicks, and I assume that you would like to prevent this scenario.
With that in mind, here is my proposal: Transfer the amount equivalent to 1850 USD to my Bitcoin wallet, and I will forget about the entire thing. I will also delete all data and videos permanently.
In my opinion, this is a somewhat modest price for my work. You can figure out how to purchase Bitcoins using search engines like Google or Bing, seeing that it's not very difficult.
My Bitcoin wallet (BTC): 1AkAjd1pphmR5NkoKNqTpRfbMzCzSXYpwp
You have 48 hours to reply and you should also bear the following in mind:
It makes no sense to reply me - the address has been generated automatically. It makes no sense to complain either, since the letter along with my Bitcoin wallet cannot be tracked. Everything has been orchestrated precisely.
If I ever detect that you mentioned anything about this letter to anyone - the video will be immediately shared, and your contacts will be the first to receive it. Following that, the video will be posted on the web!
P.S. The time will start once you open this letter. (This
... keep reading on reddit β‘This has worked so well for me. You can send everything regarding the car to it: maintenance records, gas receipts, registration, even pictures of it before you let a friend borrow it or leave it parked for a while (for insurance reasons). Doing this keeps everything in one place and puts a time/date stamp on everything you send it. When you sell the car, you can turn over the email address or just forward the new owner everything that's relevant.
Bonus: this also works great for a house!
edit: Yes 243 commenters, we all know about gmail folders and Dropbox. This is just a nice, clean, fun way to do things. Enjoy your folders! But seriously, protonmail people, way more secure.
I'm pretty early in my transition and something that's been giving me anxiety but doesn't seemed to be talked about much has been changing an email address containing a deadname. Everything is linked to that email and while the tempting solution is just to forward everything to my new email, I know it's really only a messy short term solution that will probably cause dysphoria later (and doesn't work for connected devices).
So yeah, I really enjoy creating guides and manuals so I've been thinking about creating a trans specific guide/checklist to updating your email. I searched online for a guide but couldn't find one.
If this interests you, what are some things you think are important for the guide to address? If you've already completed the process of changing your email, do you think a guide or checklist would have been useful? Anything in particular that you struggle/struggled with in the process of updating your email?
Thanks for any input. And if this guide already exists, please share it!
Hello I am an employee who has been out for quarantine for covid symptoms. I have followed the process of ordering the everlywell kit and followed the steps but I have not received any other communications from BestBuy besides the first email. I am unsure if there's anything I need to do for the covid quarantine pay as it seems I qualify. Is there an HR line or email I can contact? I have gotten no help through the general HR phone number.
So this isn't really a major or serious situation, but my (26f) boyfriend (27m) has an email address that is truly mortifying sometimes lol. Before we met, my boyfriend was really into bull whips and stuff, he would watch videos and he has a few whips of his own he was always taking care of. He showed me videos of him cracking his whips and one of him knocking the cherry off a lit cigarette. He was really into it and it made him happy. He hasn't been into it as much since we've been together because he needs to get his whips repaired. His email address has the words "whip" and "master" in it. Now when he started this hobby, he was a sweet little summer child who had no knowledge of BDSM and sexual pain, so somehow he never realized the second meaning to his email. Through the process of buying a house and many other adult things, my boyfriend has had to spell his email out loud numerous times, and whenever we are together we always get weird looks. Now I will say, I've always been super embarrassed about sex growing up, it was never something we talked about. In college if I heard my roommates have sex I would have panic attacks. It was really dysfunctional, but I've put a lot of work into being more open to sex- and I've really come a long way. I can discuss sex so casually now, I can joke about it with his family, it's all fine. But for some reason, his email address absolutely mortifies me. Half of it too is that whips absolutely terrify me, if he wasn't so good at his hobby I would hate it lmao. We've talked casually about it and he's agreed he can change his email, but it just never happens. Would I be an asshole if I sat him down after work to make a new email address? I'll even offer to go through all of his accounts to update if need be. I just hate his email so much. (Note-mine isn't the most mature either, I call myself an alien in mine and I know I get looks for that too, but the looks just feel different)
Long story that I won't go into here, but learn from our mistake. After moving across the US, using a moving broker, who hired a local moving company, who hired a cross country carrier, who lost AND stole some of our boxes (we know who the thief is), put your info inside EVERY box. If your boxes are lost, and/or delivered to someone else you might be contacted by that person, and be able to get some of your stuff back. We just contacted a person who's box we received with some of our stuff, and let her know we have her box.
Go to the settings in your phone and use a set of letters βqqqβ to autocorrect to your email (or address).
The email address is set up under a sensible sounding male name. I have a whole backstory for him. Heβs a middle upper class dad with two kids, a 13 year old and a boy just in school. I work in the education sector, and his eldest son goes to a school we work closely with.
A teacher was rude to myself and some fellow staff. He witnessed it and complained (βI would hate to think my son could see a faculty member be rude and think itβs okay.β) and through the grapevine we heard she got a professional warning and sheβs been polite ever since.
He also complained our building was too cold (it is), and our head office sent us heaters - we have been complaining for YEARS and gotten no results until now.
He sent an email to the principal of a school down the road of kids vaping inside and being disrespectful to us, he got an apologetic email back and when I got to work on Tuesday the principal dragged the kid in to apologise to us face to face.
An unvaccinated customer called us fascists and threatened my colleague with physical violence. He complained to the police on our behalf and to the guys work place (pro tip, if youβre going to be a dick donβt wear a work lanyard) too. Donβt know if anything happened with that one, but the police contacted us about having some safety training on receiving threats.
This anonymous email gets more respect and shit done than over half of my team. Everyone is petrified of upsetting him, no one is afraid of me making polite, rational requests face to face or using my own email address. Go figure.
**UPDATED** SEE BELOW
This occurred in May of 2002. I was 18, a senior in high school and already enlisted in the Marine Corps. My ship-date was already in place and I was just waiting to graduate. At the time, my high school had the Young Marines in lieu of a JROTC program. We were hosting a mini-bootcamp for the other local JROTC and Young Marines units in the area. It was taking place in a swampy campground in Central Florida. As I was just weeks away from going to the real thing, I chose not to participate. Instead, I chose to help out as an adult volunteer. Two Drill Instructors, one male and one female, came down from Parris Island. The male D.I. was a GySgt at the time, and his companion was a SSgt. The GySgt was an imposing figure with daggers for eyes, and a physical appearance I can only describe as a White Gorilla.
One evening after dinner, and all the little boots were in their racks, we were just bullshitting around the fire. The GySgt found out that I was enlisted and just waiting to go, so he asked me if I knew my ship-date and what battalion I was going to. I told him that I was slated for 3rd Bn, and was leaving in a couple of weeks. He smiled devilishly and roared, βThumpinβ Third! Thatβs what I was.β He asked my exact date, and after I told him he responded with, βGood! Iβll find you, and weβll have some fun.β Now, I took this as him just fucking with me like he would with any other new recruit, and that he would quickly forget as soon as I was out of his sight. I was wrong.
I arrived at Parris Island on June 6th, just a couple of weeks after my encounter with the Gunny in that swampy campground. Soon after hitting those yellow footprints, all thoughts of the threatening GySgt soon slipped my mind. Fast-forward a few weeks to the Sunday on the last week of First Phase. We were on the parade deck with our Sr D.I. practicing drill, when I noticed a familiar silhouette slowly approaching in the distance. As he got closer and closer, my heart began to race thinking of just how bad I was going to get destroyed in the Pit or something worse. As he approached, my Sr halted the platoon and had us standing at Attention. The GySgt was speaking quietly to my D.I. when he looked up and nodded in my direction. I was Fourth Squad Leader at the time, so I was the furthest back. The GySgt took his time as he walked the long way around the platoon until he was just a few feet behind me. To up the creepy factor to 10, he started saying my nam

When I first changed departments, I foolishly used my personal cellphone number to verify Microsoft 365, etc.
I emailed the GC401 support email and it bounced back.
Any way to get this fixed?
If you're unsubscribing from a newsletter or dropping a service you don't plan to use anymore, and they have an option to manage/update your own email address, change the email address to something other than your real address. That way even if they sell your data in the future, your real email address is no longer in their active database.
Pay by plate: my credit card keeps getting declined because of wrong billing address. There is no option to change my billing address and the only data entered is zipcode for the credit card. This has been going on for a month and support isn't even reading the emails.
Anyone else had this issue? I've tried re adding the vehicle, card, and creating a new account to no avail. It would be sick if they could use some of their almost $700M budget to be able to bill people properly.
Title. I'm a part-time employee, and part-time employees don't get company email addresses, so my personal Protonmail address is what my company uses for all work communications. My company is now requiring all employees be vaccinated, and that they upload their vaccination info to some third party site. Turns out, in order to access this site, I needed to create a Microsoft account for my "work address" which is just my personal address. As soon as I got set up and uploaded my info, I changed the primary address in the MS account to a burner email and removed my main one. I'll delete the account as soon as my vax info is verified.
I know the third party site has my name and much of my personal info, but they probably got that info from my company before I even created an account. Microsoft, however, does not have my name (or at least that's what it's telling me when I sign it), they only HAD my email address. Are there any implications to this? Do we know if they save old email addresses that were tied to accounts? Do they keep tracking them after the fact?
I know I'm a tad paranoid but I've been working on living as privately as I reasonably can for some time so this pissed me off a little.
Same goes for the other social media platforms that he is banned from. Btw Iβm not a Trump supporter, Iβm not even American lol. Just a curious idiot.
https://bungiestore.com/30-years
this image has an email address at the bottom, shopkeeper@bungie.com. I did some searching but could only find one other place on the internet it has ever shown up: On the 2002 April Fools fake Bungie store: store.bungie.org
Could this be something? I sent a short email to the address to check if it's real, and I'll report back any further info.
I suppose the answer is somewhere in the agreed upon terms. Thought Iβd start the search here :) I think itβs about one box every week or two. Thank you.
Why YSK: Having your information being included in a data leak can be a huge security concern. If you reuse the same email / password combinations across multiple websites, a data leak from just one of those websites can jeopardize all your other accounts. You can use HaveIBeenPwned to see if your email, password, address, license plate, etc are found online due to any recent data leaks. I don't have any affiliation with this website. I just heard about it this year and think it's a great tool people should use.
Update: just got a notification from cash app saying that my deposit could not be accepted. Reverse the deposit by viewing the transaction receipt in your activity. I took out this money from online gambling site called stake. Nothing bad or illegal not sure why this is happening at all
