A list of puns related to "Simple Mail Transfer Protocol"
People want to know.
Bitcoin is a global decentralised internet based value transfer protocol. It is the most robust and secure on earth for this use case. It can transmit value between any two parties big or small, corporate or individual, with final settlement utility.
Here are the market capitalizations of credit card companies that offer the same use case except slower, with higher fees and in a fallible centralised and censored manner.
VISA - $466B
Master Card - $334B
American Express - $128B
Discover Card - $36B
Total - $964B
Credit card companies and domestic payment card companies that facilitate value transfer are worth far more than one trillion dollars in market cap.
If bitcoin was just a value transfer protocol for simple payments this would be a base case market cap.
Then there is SWIFT, a cooperative that facilitates over five trillion dollars per day in value transfer between 11,000 financial institutions in over 200 countries.
If bitcoin were to be used for this purpose it would need to maintain a five trillion dollar market cap every day of the year just to provide the liquidity required to operate for such sums.
And all of this happens if bitcoin is nothing more than a simple value transfer protocol.
If bitcoin offers the world nothing more than its ability to instantly and securely transfer value around the world from any individual or corporation on earth to any other individual or corporation on earth, its market caps needs to sit between five to ten trillion dollars at a minimum. $10 trillion dollars in market cap is close to $500k per coin.
If bitcoin is to succeed by any measure this is its base case.
If it ends up becoming the worlds reserve currency thats when we can talk about a market cap in the hundreds of trillions of dollars. But today just to to replace outdated credit cards and wire transfers $500k per coin is bitcoins minimum base case.
Speculative Question:
As everything seemingly has a mass and niche place within the crypto community to expand upon within their own respective industries. (Long Blockchain Core - formerly Long Island ice tea; yes the drink, extreme example but it unbelievably so happened)
How could crypto, outside of a payment for maybe online coaching be utilised?
Ideas, concepts, anything with some form of substantial benefit (be it: the infrastructure of the gym; documentation of time usage to determine your monthly usage / gym plan, Iโm sure there heaps more)
Outside the gyms that mine Bitcoin as you peddle, the health, fitness, well-being and many other similar industries have had very very little exposure to crypto.
Am I missing something?
Maybe no applicable use within the industry?
Tech decades ahead of what gym and systems currently run at?
A lack of understanding in what it could do to benefit the industry?
I donโt have the answers, these are all very top of the head thoughts, I was hoping the amazing r/ CC could help shed light upon, what could essentially push the industry further along.
All ideas; abstract, menial, outrageous are welcomed.
Please, do also share anything I that might be of relevance.
An open discussion. Would be great!
Thanks again
TLDR: How does crypto push the fitness industry forward, both collectively and for individuals who see the endless limits to what DLT and DAG has to offer.
There's a person on my rural route who gets mail for several businesses and properties he owns at his main residence. Unfortunately, despite his yearly promises of getting a bigger box, he only has this little cheap black plastic box that's square shaped, and gets narrower as you go back. And, also unfortunately, this particular person also has a habit of not picking up their mail. For multiple weeks. Which includes packages, bills, checks, catalogues, and very thick flats filled with Important Papers.
So this is how the routine has gone since late 2019, almost like clockwork. He doesn't pick up his mail. After about 2-3 weeks, his box is so stuffed, I can't fit another letter in it. Per my PostMaster's instructions when this first started, I then unstuff the box, bring it all back, and hold it for up to 30 days, starting at the date I brought it all back. I leave a notice in the box, but we've warned him so many times that we can only hold it 30 days that he's caught on, and will now usually pick it up on Day 28-29 of holding. By that point, it's 2-3 tubs of mail. He promises every time that he'll pick it up more frequently, and at one point even said he hired a guy to pick up his mail for him, but the process repeats almost non-stop.
Finally today, the camel's back broke. After having a good chunk of his mail avalanche out and being forced to chase it up the street in -14 F windchill weather as I'm trying to empty out his box AGAIN, I'm getting rather tired of it. In the two years he's been on my route, this is probably the 8th or 9th time this has happened. In the summer, there's a ton of spiders hiding in the mail when I pull it out, and in the winter, the snow piles up just right that I have to reach to try and get the mail in there, and it tilts at just enough of an angle and it's filled with such slippery magazines and uneven flats that it's always threatening to spill out. Not to mention that I often have tubs of his mail sitting on the floor by my case, constantly taking up space and getting in the way.
I've finally had enough of it to start looking into what I can do about it. We no longer have a postmaster available to us, and none of us are really sure what the rules are about this. He has mail in there that was scanned on December 28th. Since I brought it all back today, do I really have to hold it an additional 30 days, like my postmaster had told me I had to? Can I just hold it 10 days and send it all back, like the scanner tells me when

They want to move me to cyber security for the region in the future once I get more networking experience. I have about 7 years of help desk support and I got an associates in networking and cyber security, with about 7 months of real networking experience at this job.
I feel that at some point shit will hit the fan due to this branch doing their own thing differently from other branches. I already reported one major thing to security team. There is just some other minor things that can lead to big problems down the road. But the tech team here which is a small group doesn't want to address it due to these vulnerabilities making work life super easy. I also don't want to get on the bad side of the local team members since we help each other out with work.
This is a good job with a lot of potential growth, but I just don't want to be near it when someone takes advantage of these vulnerabilities.
Hello everyone! I was wondering if it would be possible to make a very limited version of a Minecraft server that pretty much only shows the description and icon of the server and instantly kicks whoever tries to join.
Where would you recommend me to start from? Thanks for your time.
I'm in a situation where I'm being very politely asked to transfer stores due to my relationship with a higher up employee. Do I have to.wait for my manager to get things started or could I talk to another store myself to see if I can get the ball rolling. School starts in a week and a half and I would like to get things figured out asap.
I would like to develop a simple way to transfer readings from various sensors, send it as a bytestream across a XBee network to be read on a computer. I use arduinos for prototyping, and I started simply by mapping the analog input from 0-1023 to 0-255 and sending that across the wire. Soon I found out that it didn't make much sense not knowing when which sensor's readings came through, and I figured I needed a header-body package system. Does anyone have good advice on the creation of such a system, perhaps to fill several objects with unique IDs with sensor readings coming from many different XBees? I am using Processing on the computer.
