A list of puns related to "Eid Al Adha"
Eid Mubarak to you all!
On this day of Eid Al Adha, when a billion Muslims celebrate by slaughtering millions of animals, I talk about what it was like growing up as a "Vegan Muslim".
#SpoilerAlert: It wasn't exactly a picnic.
I also talk about the frustrations I have with other vegans. It's a bit of a rant and covers a lot of ground in 5 minutes. But I can't be the only vegan who feels this way. In fact, I'm 100% sure I'm not.
>"And when he was old enough to work with him, he said, ‘O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee. So consider, what thou thinkest of it!’ He replied, ‘O my father, do as thou art commanded; thou wilt find me, if Allah please, of those who are patient.

>And when they both submitted to the Will of God, and he had thrown him down on his forehead, We called to him: ‘O Abraham ‘Thou hast indeed fulfilled the dream.’ Thus indeed do We reward those who do good. That surely was a manifest trial. And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice."- As Saffat 37:103-109 [1]
>Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
"When the rituals were enjoined upon Ibrahim, (peace be upon him) , the Shaytan appeared to him at the Mas`a and raced with him, but Ibrahim got there first. Then Jibril, upon him be peace, took him to Jamrat Al-`Aqabah and the Shaytan appeared to him, so he stoned him with seven pebbles until he disappeared. Then he appeared him at Al-Jamrah Al-Wusta and he stoned him with seven pebbles. Then he laid him prostrate on his face. Isma`il, (peace be upon him) , was wearing a white shirt, and he said, `O my father, I do not have any garment in which I can be shrouded apart from this; take it off me so that you can shroud me in it.' He started to take it off, then he was called from behind: (O Ibrahim! You have fulfilled the dream!) Ibrahim turned, and saw a fine, horned, white ram.'' [2]
Let's not be Abraham
I cannot have any sympathy for this blood-stained, sanguinary tradition. I have no sympathy for the story of Abraham, and hold sheer disgust and contempt for the glorification of his "sacrifice". The tradition is immoral, it's wicked, it's wrong.
It is a complete perversion of values and ethics. It undercuts any claims of moral superiority of dogmatic religious systems. The story tries to convince us, that the entity, that is demanding to slaughter the own child is "good". The entity that is trying to question that order and is trying to prevent it is somehow "evil". This questioning is considered such a heinous crime that till today (during hajj) believers are throwing stones at the places where this supposed rebellious act happened.
The core of what it means to be a parent is to love, care and protect your children. If there is anything, t
... keep reading on reddit ➡Honestly I don’t really see the hype of Eid Al Adha. You just slaughter hundreds if not thousands of goats for Allah and then take the meat for yourself and give some to the poor. Like why do hundreds of not thousands of goats have to die for this stupid holiday? And honestly I don’t really see the hype in celebrating a different type of Hari Raya because Hari Raya Puasa was already good enough. It’s not like there’s anything significant in murdering goats for the poor tbh. But what’s your opinion on this holiday?

If the process of Eid-al-Adha is followed to a tee, then one should treat the animal like a family member (like someone you love the most in the whole world to be exact) for an year. Subsequently the animal is sacrificed and then eaten.
The story behind this is that Allah appeared in Ibrahim's dream and asked him to sacrifice his son Ishamel (someone he loved the most in the world) as an act of showing his faith. As Ibraham was about to sacrifice his son, he found that Allah had replaced Ishamel with a ram/lamb.
The practice that follows from thereon doesn't have any moral justification though. You are suppose love an animal (actually love it from the bottom of your heart), and then when the time comes, sacrifice it and eat it.
You can look at it in a thousand different ways but the flawed mentality is undeniable.
Even when people defend this practice, they always draw examples from other religions and practices, say there's x thing happening in y religion as well, but never stand the ground on why the practice of sacrificing an animal after cherishing for an year is justified.
If a more logical and modern approach is followed towards sacrifice, majority of the people love themselves the most or at least among other things people are worried about themselves as well.
They should simply donate blood on Eid-al-Adha. It'd be a true noble act and would also fullfil the symbolical sacrifice.
Today is a Muslim holiday, usually a time of year that we celebrate with good food and family. I can't imagine how difficult this time of year must be for Serge and his family. This would be the first Eid Al Adha without his brother.
I thought it would be nice if Spurs supporters would reach out to him and wished him well. He's in our spurs family, we should try and show him some love. Link below is his post on Instagram for Eid, that seems to be his most active social media account.
Wouldn't the animal be submissive and ready to be sacrificed for its Lord without any fear or panic
