Can I change the choice from the UK event: "Edward VIII Abdication Crisis"?
It is my first time playing the UK and I wanted to go facist, but I chose the option :" If he will not change his mind, the King must abdicate. "
Can I change the choice or do I get the Event again? or did I fail to go the Kings party way?

Abdication Crisis not fired and Edward VIII automatically replaced by George VI
On a UK run to form the Imperial Federation with The Kings Party, I chose βA Change in Courseβ to get The Kings Party but the Abdication Crisis event never fired and Edward was automatically replaced by George with nothing mentioned, itβs mid March 1937 and it seems like the decision shouldβve fired in β36

If he will not change his mind, the king must abdicate
Compromise on a morganatic marriage
Insist on royal marriage

King Edward VIII's engagement to Wallis Simpson was hugely controversial and forced an abdication crisis. Why is there no similar controversy over Prince Harry's engagement to an American divorcee?
Is it because Harry probably won't ever be king? Or has the Church of England mellowed in the intervening years?

How big of a crisis did the abdication of Edward VIII really cause?
During the recent British election campaign the Conservatives have repeatedly claimed that a Labour-SNP coalition would cause the biggest constitutional crisis since the abdication. Was it really that big a deal at the time? It's not like the King had any formal role, and their was a line of succession.

How did the British Monarchy maintain itβs personal wealth after the abdication of Edward VIII?
QE2 is stated to be worth anywhere from $500mm to $1bn in her personal capacity. Much of this is from the inheritance of her father George VI. This includes Sandrigham House and Balmoral Castle. The house belonged to his father, George V. In the show, The Crown, they basically portray Edward VIII as broke and constantly waiting for his check from the civil list/trying to get it increased. Since Edward VIII was king and was the oldest child, wouldnβt he have inherited many of the properties/wealth from George V in his personal capacity? How did George VI and QE2 end up with everything?

What was the financial impact of the abdication on Edward VIII? Did he lose all of his titles and associated estates?
Financially, did he get cut off from government funding and, if yes, was he supplemented by the royal family (i.e. through the duchy of lancaster)?
Did he lose all of his hereditary titles and associated estates? If yes, were these replaced by new lesser titles?
