A list of puns related to "Dialer"
So. an Idea for a magic system in a story where rune magic is common but requires a lot of creativity or learning to use.
Basically, a magician summons two bracelets made out of mana with the first and second half of the 38 runic letters, and when the magician wants to use the spell, he'd call it. Like on old rotating call phones like this:
https://preview.redd.it/b7qkjgwbmi881.jpg?width=925&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4ecd2868be6aa7455f46a73b7f988ea73d8c4668
Two bracelets serve to show the affiliation of the magic-user to the prime element he is talented towards. By making the words on the dialer bracelet, magician can cast spells like he wishes to. For example, a simple spell, like a fireball, needs to be dialed only in name, but when a magician wants to do something more powerful requiring more mana, he dials up the name and the accurate description of the spell.
What do you think?
Little edit to clarify, they look like holographic devices usually seen on wrists.
Is there a way to install this package again? I accidentally put it in when adding it to my debloat script. Any help would be appreciated.
u/FrameXX's answer helped me solve this. Thank you all.
We have been having a lot of headaches with our installation of my WIN-911 system. Our operators have had issues with acknowledgements, failed callouts, and system crashes. I am looking for alternative dialers. Any ideas?
Title. I wasn't expecting to reach 999 when I called them for an vaccination question.
In case you need to call them you can use: +44 151 905 0119. I am not sure how widespread this is but making emergency hotline busy is never ideal.
Edit: Some UK folks say they don't have issue. Could be operator related. Mine is Voxi (on Vodafone network).
Edit 2: Tried with a Vodafone sim, call connected to correct number, it looks like my operator is to blame
Edit 3: Now putting back my Voxi sim, again able to connect 119 as expected. So no idea what caused the issue in the first place, but worth keeping an eye on. There is another user who has the same issue in Vodafone network.
How to make it happen? I need call blocking and call recording available.
I updated my OnePlus 9 Pro to android 12 when the stable version rolled out but since then whenever I am on call the Google's phone app floating bubble is not appearing on my home screen anymore.
Is this any kind of bug and if it is, is there anyway to solve this thing?
I don't have an emergency number on my screen but for some reason the emergency dialer is often up when I remove the phone from my pocket. The Android 12 lockscreen is very broken for me, but this one is beyond the normal since it's doing something that isn't even available on the screen?
I started having issues with my phone's connection being incredibly slow(to the point of having trouble sending texts) even while saying it was a full signal LTE connection. This issue only happens in some places, but unfortunately one of those places is where I work. While annoying I was able to simply use the dialer code for the Sprint network and my service there, while not much faster, was functional.
I eventually got annoyed enough that I contacted support about the issue and they gave me quite a few troubleshooting tips, none of which worked. After a few different chats with support I was stuck with the same problem, but I am now completely unable to switch carriers with the dialer codes. When I try it will either time out or it will complete and I will have no signal with an exclamation point next to it. This happens for both Sprint and US Cellular.
I went back to support with the issue and they eventually suggested a phone replacement under my device protection plan. I'm still discussing this with them, but due to the fact they want to hold $800 up front to replace my phone I've been unable to proceed with that option.
That was all fine and I figured I just needed a new phone, until my girlfriend started having some minor connection issues with her phone. I showed her the dialer codes to allow her to swap networks, but she is having the same issue and can't connect to the other networks and is now suddenly having similar connection issues to me.
Does anyone have any idea what we could do to resolve it outside of replacing the phones? It's a little odd that both phones on our plan are suddenly having the same issue and I'm unsure if my phone is actually the problem now. The only troubleshooting step I haven't tried is a factory reset, but that will probably be my next step if there are no other ideas.
Thanks!
I have a question. From a lot of photos and review videos, I saw the icons of google dialer and messaging app. So does it come like that by default? and also, does the incoming call screen comes like the google one?
Trying to understand what type of investments are required. What type of engineering needs to be done.
I just upgraded my 5T to an 8T and discovered I cannot longer use my favourite file explorer to each app data in /Android/*
unrooted. I also don't know how to choose the correct SIM card when dialling, and the call history is somewhat limited. I liked the look of the OnePlus dialer app much better than the pre-installed one.
So is OnePlus still developing its dialer app? I couldn't find anything in the app store nor an apk on the OnePlus website.
Also what file manager that doesn't look like it's from the 90s would you recommend that also isn't bloat and allows me to access my own files, given I wouldn't want to root my phone just for that?
What Voip based 2 line dialers are a good low cost option?
This one is cheap at $16/month (plus skype business needed) https://www.ecsow.com/pricing.html
The Website with 2000 era styling concerns me though.
Hello!
I would replace those two apps with deGoogled ones.
On F-Droid I found:
DIALER:
Simple Dialer - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.simplemobiletools.dialer
Emerald Dialer - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/ru.henridellal.dialer
Koler - https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/apk/com.chooloo.www.koler
CONTACTS
Simple Contacts - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.simplemobiletools.contacts.pro
Contact Book - https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.hskl.contacts/
But I remember hearing that on Xiaomi using other apps - especially for dialer - can cause troubles.Does anyone have recent experience?
PS: I know I could install another OS like Lineage, but for some reason I can't: unfortunately the person who bought the phone needs it almost immediately and I lack the technical knowledge to make the change to another ROM. At least I was able to cancel a lot of bloatware before giving him his phone.
We took over a school system that has Simplex, Siemens, older Notifier and even a couple Firelite panels. All are using relays to trigger the Vista Panels. Iβm trying to figure the best solution on the schools thatβs not ready to upgrade the fire panel yet (budget). What cell radio could I use? Which is best? Could I use a TG7 or a Starlink? Starlink Iβve used just being triggered from relays. If none of this makes sense let me know. Iβll answer any question you have.
Google Dialer on Pixel 4A is Crap. Slow stuttery choppy. Average device have better smoother faster google dialer than this phone. If you wanna know what a smooth dialer is use the app called "True phone dialer"
I hope they address this issue, but i am sure they wont ever because it seems every pixel 4a user is okay with a shitty dialer.
(This is my 1st mid ranger device and probably the last)
Hello,
First of all thank you very much for creating a amazing suite of apps. But after one before the last update dialer show no call logs. Can you please look into it, I've given the app all the required permissions but no luck
Edit: I'm using moto E4 and my default phone app is disabled but enabling it didn't fix the issue.
We've all been perplexed that GV cannot be set as the default dialer on Android phones. This was especially a problem when I wanted to make calls with Bluetooth connected in my car.I would choose a contact to call, and it would just hang. No ringing. No nothing. However, I inadvertently found an indirect way to to make GV the default.I use an app called "Should I Answer" to block spam and scams calls. The maker of this app recommends making itself the default dialer, and so I did.Afterward, all dialing is "forwarded" to GV.It works exactly as I would expect it to do.Perhaps other blockers do the same.
Hi!
Android 11 introduced lag when trying to press speaker, mute etc function during call. On previous versions the lag was not present. Buttons work after 1 or 2 second after (example) answering calls. Was that fixed with Android 12?
You can access it by doing the "win+r" and typing "dialer"
I'm pretty sure this dates back to Windows 95 or 98, but I've seen it running on Win3.1 as well. Not sure it's origins but I am glad Windows 11 is keeping a 25+ year old program...but not some other features from Windows 10... huh... and I do hope there are no vulnerabilities hiding here...
clicking help/"About Phone Dialer" shows this box that just gives info on W11, but with the dialer logo....?
Anyone know what episode date for "the dialer " bit ?? Tia!
(just sent this by e-mail to hello@simplemobiletools.com but here it is)
Greetings, first of all thanks for these very useful simple, straight-to-the point tools! Been using simple gallery pro for a couple of years, now also using a few others including SMS and dialer.
I have 2 small requests for Dialer which would make it the perfect phone dialer app for me:
Installing from f-droid or stand-alone package files, not "play store" because i'm sick of google and their abuse, piling up of absurd restrictions and other bullshit. I'm currently in the process of cutting off ALL their "services" for good.
Thanks!
