A list of puns related to "Degenerate Distribution"
I'm implementing the following approximation in code, and I don't quite understand the parameterization of h(x). The paper claims that the function domain includes any Real skew (Ξ»), but the parameters seem to fall completely apart at Ξ» = 0. In the code, I can just fall back to Hoyt's approximation, ( f(x) in the paper ) at the degenerate case, but I'm worried that I'm missing something vital. Is there a way to extract f(x) from h(x) when Ξ» = 0? Is that wrong? Wouldn't the result of the function at Ξ» = 0 be just 0, since we're stuck at the first parameter*? Thanks in advance.

Hey guys,
We can prime factorize positive integers m = 2^(i_2) 3^(i_3) 5^(i_5) ... and then restate a result of prime number theorem as the number of positive integers less than (large) N which have the property i_2 + i_3 + i_5 + ... = 1 is pi(N) approximately N/log(N).
My question is how much is known about similar results about larger numbers of factors, i.e. i_2 + i_3 + i_5 + ... = n, for some integer n.
For n=2, I can sort of convince myself that the result is pi_2(N) = pi(N/2) + pi(N/3) + pi(N/5) + ... + pi(N/Sqrt(N)) (where by Sqrt(N) I mean the next largest prime after Sqrt(N)). I am not even sure this is correct because there might be some werid scaling issues with pi(.).
Anyway do you guys have any insight? I am sure people must have thought a lot about this?

Pieces of art deemed problematic or offensive are not being hosted on any streaming services, including rental options like Prime or YouTube, making these type of films extremely hard to see in our current media consumption landscape.
In the absence of physical media, which is becoming more and more rare, these movies are essentially being banned by the companies responsible for curating our intake of contemporary art. As physical media becomes less commonly manufactured and printings of these films grow in age and rarity they will become prohibitively expensive to purchase. If no digital streaming options exist they will become next to impossible for people to see in the future if that does not change.
How does this effect the overall culture if art is sterilized of its inherent obscene qualities? If a young person interested in art in 20, 30 years is unable to reasonably see important works of offensive, degenerate art then they could be less inclined to take those risks in their own work. Imagine if Egon Schiele had never seen Klimt, and a whole generation of expressionist portrait artists had never seen Schieleβs work. Which was nearly the case, after being arrested his work was burned and everything we see of his is after that period and presumably somewhat sterilized for fear of reprisal of the law. Would we still have grotesque art being created like Jordan Wolfson or Sally Mann.
Will the linear progression of filth and trash remain intact? Or will it become recontextualized and appropriated into a sterilized and safe form like pop-punk, which allows a socially acceptable amount of grit and self expression while remaining consumer friendly and profit focused.
Art has a long history of serious censorship and this is obviously a lesser example compared to the Nazi degenerate art exhibitions, video-nasties, the various satanic panics, but itβs the beginning of a trend Iβm concerned about growing worse as our media moves more and more out of the physical space and into the digital curated subscription model.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

WHY DID I KEEP IT: I have deep nostalgia for the game. In my early teens, I went to a local event and got trounced. I picked up enough cards to make a mediocre, but effective anti-meta (1) deck and managed to beat the local who had all the expensive, shiny cards.

> (+2, controversial) Things like red lining and denial of veteran benefits certainly didn't help
>> (+23) No, but the same exact shit happened to Irish, Italians, Jews, Russians, Chinese, Japanese, and a dozen other ethnic groups, and they're all way better off today.** Did it happen more severely to black people in particular? I guess OP just kind of forgot about slavery. Someone replied to OP and pointed out the obvious, that Black people faced much more severe discrimination for much longer than any other group in the USA, their comment was at -12 (controversial) at the time of the post. They were also asked to prove that black people faced harsher discrimination for longer. In recent months there's been a lot of shenanigans new proposed taxes and a lot of reckless ignorance over current tax structures. I'm writing here to clear up common misconceptions/libel and show a few ways that you can get out of at least some taxes. And yes, tax efficiency is important to investors as it doesn't just eat into your compounding gains but it can wreck strategies. I.E. Your trading might beat the market before taxes but fall behind after taxes, meaning you would have been better off owning an index fund.
Myth 1: There's widespread tax fraud among certain classes of citizens. The WHO of this myth depends who you ask, but this is only true among rappers, and while that may sound bizarre note most rappers are from inner cities and many even have gang connections and are accustomed to never filing tax returns. These degenerates are often busted for tax related crimes but just as often drive themselves to bankruptcy by wild spending. Smart people/companies find legal ways to get out of taxes.
Myth 2: Accounting tricks can erase all taxes. Ordinarily no, there's plenty of ways to trim away at taxes but only in particular circumstance's you'll see later can you get out of all of it. That is... Unless you simply give away everything you earn.
Myth 3: The IRS doesn't audit. This is mostly spread by people angry they got in trouble. But no, the IRS' job is to get dollars into coffers and simple logic dictates that it's worthwhile to assign an auditor to a billionaire even when no major cause for suspicion exists. They definitely don't target poor people either, since generally the Feds end up owing them after deductions. In 2015, one in 143 Americans were audited, but in middle income brackets only 1 in 244 were audited while 1 in 20 millionaires were audited with that ratio only increasing with the super-rich. What the IRS won't do, however, is hunt people down to give them their tax refund... Because a lot of people refuse to file returns.
Warning 1: Avoid being taxed twice. There are many common scenarios corporations and individuals where a given sum is taxed both as corporate income and private income. Namely, dividends are taxed as corporate income and as capital gains, unless it's a REIT which is legally obliged to pass on their income to shareholders. Fact is a share buyback program has the same rewards as a dividend, but is only taxed as corporate income and is thus more tax efficient.
Trick 1: *You never p

London, May 2009 β An experiment is under way. Its subjects: thirteen homeless men. They are veterans of the street. Some have been sleeping on the cold pavement of the Square Mile, Europeβs financial center, for going on forty years. Between the police expenses, court costs, and social services, these thirteen troublemakers have racked up a bill estimated at Β£400,000 ($650,000) or more.
Per year. The strain on city services and local charities is too great for things to go on this way. So Broadway, a London-based aid organization, makes a radical decision: From now on, the cityβs thirteen consummate drifters will be getting VIP treatment. Itβs adiΓ³s to the daily helpings of food stamps, soup kitchens, and shelters. Theyβre getting a drastic and instantaneous bailout. From now on, these rough sleepers will receive free money. To be exact, theyβre getting Β£3,000 in spending money, and they donβt have to do a thing in return.
How they spend it is up to them. They can opt to make use of an advisor if theyβd like β or not. There are no strings attached, no questions to trip them up.
The only thing theyβre asked is: What do you think you need?
βI didnβt have enormous expectations,β one social worker later recalled.
But the driftersβ desires proved eminently modest. A telephone, a dictionary, a hearing aid β each had his own ideas about what he needed. In fact, most were downright thrifty. After one year, they had spent an average of just Β£800. Take Simon, who had been strung out on heroin for twenty years. The money turned his life around. Simon got clean and started taking gardening classes. βFor some reason, for the first time in my life, everything just clicked,β he said later. βIβm starting to look after myself, wash and shave. Now Iβm thinking of going back home. Iβve got two kids.β A year and a half after the experiment began, seven of the thirteen rough sleepers had a roof over their heads. Two more were about to move into their own apartments.

To fully understand this post, I really recommend to read the first post as it's hard to understand the MO of the third generation/ the meaning of those incidents without having the background of the second generation.
1.THE THIRD GENERATION KICKS RECKLESSLY INTO ACTION 1992-1994
As explained in the previous post, the third generation is a very different breed from Sam Tuttle and his sons/the second generation. As a result of the abuse/early exposure to the Cult, they have grown into low-functioning sociopaths with limited social reach, limited impulse control and they actually believe in the Cult. Therefore their MO is very different.
*1992 the Rianne Oliver murder (episode 3)
3 years ago, a flood in Abbeville, they pulled this girl out of the river. (Rust (-episode 3)
She had a boyfriend you know about, a man? Eh, she took up with that Ledoux fella... older boy, shit family... (Rianne Oliver grand-father episode 3)
Errol childress along with reggie ledoux and dewall ledoux do their first private murder on Rianne Oliver ( Reggie ledoux girlfriend)
It's a fact Light of the Way shutdowns in 92 . It's most likely that most of Wellspring program and by extension the organized cult is shutdown by then. Billy Tuttle in episode 6 specifically mentions the Wellspring initiative shut down as a whole in the early 90's.
So the third generation group, who had previously access to the cult and have fully bought into the dogma and are very mentally disturbed (drugs, tortured as kid,.) , is now without easy access to victims and have to find their own way of satiating their pulsions - their MO is very different : they have little social reach so they target personal acquaintances that they drug with LSD-meth and/or act impulsively on sudden opportunities.
That's why they target Rianne Oliver : as Regg

Most of my friends thought I was crazy to work on OMSCS at my age. It doesn't have any direct effect on my career or anything and I'm not looking for a career change. I'm in a high paying tech job and have a fairly successful career so far. Many times I questioned why I was putting myself and my family through this over the last half decade, throwing away much of my free time.
But really, I had to do OMSCS. Something in me craved it - I needed something new, something challenging, and professional work just stopped doing that for me. OMSCS filled this gap wonderfully. Classes like Distributed Computing and Information Security Lab pushed my skills and knowledge to the limit, like nothing I've experienced since being an undergrad, and a few instances earlier in my career. In retrospect, I think I would have been happier in my career if I'd sought a PhD after doing my undergrad, and gone for more research based roles - but at the time I was young and desperate to make some income, coming from a poor background where none of my family has a degree and having hefty student loans.
I went into OMSCS without much expectations, and thinking I could just coast part time and it wouldn't be that tough. But as many of you have probably experienced, this was an illusion - OMSCS is no joke! Many of the classes are incredibly challenging and consume a lot of time. Kudos to people who do this degree, you have accomplished something amazing, especially if you do it while juggling full time work and family obligations. It is something to be proud of.
Some classes were tougher than others. I started with easier classes and it was still quite a big adjustment for me. I started getting some major burnout around half way through the program where I was seriously considering dropping out - mostly because of family issues combined with some challenging courses (HPCA used to have a very brutal midterm - I remember having to lie down for an hour after taking it because it stressed me out so much). After that burnout period though I bounced back - and for whatever reason, started to embrace the challenge. I took some of the hardest classes in the program and avoided anything which seemed like I wouldn't get much out of it. So I did classes like IHPC,

Proteins bind to sites in the DNA sequence (binding sites). By having a collection of these binding sites, we can create a motif, which, shows us the distribution of the nucleotides at the different positions rather than an exact sequence, due to binding sites being variable/degenerate. I dont know where the consensus sequence comes in here - perhaps its an alternative to sequence logos?
So by knowing the motif for a specific protein, we can infer where those proteins may bind throughout the genome

tl;dr - There have been many critiques of Jumptown v2. The most important takeaway from these critiques hints at what players would value in their ongoing gameplay experiences, so I set a new goal for an authentic feel and meaningful events.
We replicate how the drug trade operates in movies and TV. The event system provides access to this world. For example, rival cartels may seek to steal the product. Law enforcement wants to shut down the operation.
In past CitizenCons, Tony Z. described how individual NPCs make evaluations and adaptations. Economic nodes, like drug labs, should do the same.
A new construct, the "institutional well-being" of an NPC organization, can be used as an input for the event system. By cultivating a symbiotic relationship between the player and an institution with whom they choose to build a high reputation, we can attempt to engender feelings many players appreciate: agency, investment, purpose, and a sense of belonging.
Risk vs reward is a game-time evaluation. Attempts to forecast the balance at design-time are notoriously unreliable. Here too, adaptive systems can be employed to deliver more authentic-feeling outcomes.
===========
INTRO
The introduction of Jumptown v2 inspired me to provide some feedback applicable to, but not limited to, our newest "event." I won't rehash the well-made critiques made by others. Still, these critiques give us insight into which feelings those players could appreciate on a recurring basis: investment, accomplishment, novelty, authenticity, agency, purpose, belonging, etc.
Near the top of many critiques is v2 feeling completely contrived. In the last CitizenCon, Tony talked about events being triggered by the "background tapestry" provided by Quantum. I really like that imagery. The issue is... Quantum is a back-end system; the tapestry is not something players view directly. The beauty of a realistic back-end simulation can only be revealed through authentic-feeling front-end systems.
So, let's take all we've learned from SC's development to date and imagine an ultimate goal rather than just an incremental step like a v3.
DRUG LAB OPERATION AND ASSOCIATED GAMEPLAY
How can an in-game drug lab operate in an authentic-feeling fashion? How can we best incorporate the event system in the lab's normal operation to engender in players the feelings they will appreciate on a recurring basis?
Years of watching Miami Vice have made me an expert on the drug trade. A drug lab re

Ultron was so proud of this comment that he shared it one more time, adding a sentence from another user:(https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/oro9dv/bitcoin_just_touched_40k_from_the_mid_35k_range/h6jejn4/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=web2x&context=3 )
and then also made it into his most successful post with almost 3k upvotes: (https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/orrp9c/btc_dumps_to_30k_in_one_day_manipulation_btc/ )
99.9% of ultronβs comments are on r/cryptocurrency or connected subs (memes, meta) and the great majority of them are very short comments trying to be funny or fit in with subredditβs sentiment (this is characteristic also for all the other redditors who managed to reach the karma limit). What I have to admit is that ultron, although his comments arenβt groundbreaking or controversial in any way, is rather creative and - except for the example above - he

This was a thought that came about when I first learned about rebase tokens but it also applies to just regular staking in inflationary Proof of Stake coins**.** Rebase tokens such as $OHM, OlympusDAO, on Ethereum and $TIME, Wonderland, on Avalanche started this wave of OHM forks that spread across different blockchains. They got so much attention in the DeFi space to the point where people would call them part of DeFi 2.0. The trick to gain attention was the absurdly high yield figures anywhere from 4000% APY for OHM to millions of % APY on OHM-forks on other blockchains, this is accurate as of today but was even higher months ago.
Some would look at those figures and write them off as a scam, some others would jump in like true DeFi degenerates to farm that high yield. From what Iβve seen so far, not many people paused to consider why or how. Even if you arenβt interested in this part of DeFi, keep reading because itβs relevant if youβre staking your coins on any other blockchain too. (Jump to the section below if you want)
So, you stake your OHM, and youβre done, you just sit around and wait for staked OHM to accrue. Where does it come from though? The answer: Tokens are being minted and distributed to stakers. (Thereβs a more complex process as to how much is minted, but it isnβt relevant to the point of this article)
The currency in this case is being rebased, meaning for a fixed total market value, when we increase the token supply, we change the share of that market value each token represents. Just like how dollars being printed causes them to lose value. So how much do you actually make in USD with this APY figure of 4000+%? Thereβs an easy way to evaluate this, you can track the price of wrapped staked OHM, $WSOHM which accounts for the inflating token supply of $OHM. Turns out, you donβt actually make much and depending on when you bought, you might even be down. Why is this so? Well, itβs because 94% of all OHM is being staked, meaning that 94% of $OHM is receiving the staking rewards, so almost everyone is growing their supply of OHM at the same rate, effectively cancelling out any value from supply distribution to stakers.*Note this does not mean these rebase tokens are valueless, at their cores, they are DAOs that manage treasuries and contribute to the DeFi ecosystem

This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

Hope everyone had a good New Years because I sure did lol, anyways what I have for you is a very interesting ticker like no other where Twitter and Stocks make a good smoothie mix! Before we move on I have to say the followingβ¦
First of, this is NOT financial advice please trade at your own risk, and as always anything I say is just my opinion that is it nothing more nothing less please be advised!
Now letβs proceedβ¦ Starting off with WHO THE HELL IS ZACK MORRIS AND WHY ARE WE MENTIONING TWITTER?!
Zack Morris, the Co-Founder of Atlas Trading. Morris, using the education platforms where traders congregate to share experiences and learn, is spearheading the change in stock trading. Zack Morris opened the eponymous Twitter profile in March 2020, soon joining the ranks of what was by then already known as Fintwit. ZACK MORRIS HAS A FOLLOWING OF 597,000! Now from those 597k followers it is estimated that 322k people have Zack Morris on Urgent Alert. Zack Morris is a Guru a very (CONTROVERSIAL) one though. With over 17 successful call outs this year giving huge gains of 87% to as high as 464% gains with a losing streak of 2 major losses not going to name them since Iβm not here to get in detail, itβs just like every other famous trader that has a bad call out. Whether you classify this as a pro or con is up to you the bigger picture is he has the followers and a lot do take his call outs serious believe it or not, moving on. Important note: [ Big Following ] !
