Cyclobenzaprine Puns

Is it a good mix ? Does it have any recreational value on its own ? Or is it not worth buying ? I’ve never tried it or even heard of it before up until now, one my plugs just told me he has some of those available and I’m not really finding the answers to my questions on google.

Can you catch a good buzz of them?

Cyclobenzaprine is a common muscle relaxant. It works by antagonizing the 5ht2a receptor, the same receptor that classical psychedelics agonize to produce their effects. Because it has the exact opposite effect of psychedelics I believe it should be able to end a trip. Cyclobenzaprine should be in everyone’s trip kit along with a benzo as a fail safe for bad trips.

What happens when mixing the two? Do they provide a good effect with each-other or is it dangerous or will nothing happen at all. Lmk

Hi, So I found out I have a minor concussion today, and my doctor prescribed cyclosporine to help, as I have a lot of tension in my neck. I've also read that this drug could potentially make symptoms worse, and I am nervous about that, as I am sensitive to medication side effects. Have any of you taken it? Is it worth a try?

I don’t think my doctor knew that I was prescribed cyclobenzaprine by my orthopedic office, and I just now took my cyclobenzaprine before bed, without looking up the interactions. Should I be okay?

I am a 23 old male with a diagnose of generalized joint hypermobility spectrum disorder (diagnosis was previously termed as joint hypermobility syndrome when I was 12 years old). Because of my extremely hypermobile shoulders (no pain/dislocations), my body compensates by making the trapezius muscle tight. This muscle tension ends up traveling up to the upper part of my neck into the suboccipital musculature. I got prescribed a low dose (5mg) muscle relaxant called cyclobenzaprine (flexeril) two weeks ago by a neurologist because physical therapy is been an extremely slow process. I would like your experiences taking muscle relaxants. I haven't started the medication yet but would like to know if taking a muscle relaxer was tolerable for you during the day.

I didn't come across the muscle relaxer cyclobenzaprine/Flexeril on the usual MAOI no-no lists, but it is apparently an SRI to some degree* and therefore I see it pop up as a potential interaction.

However, I didn't find much research or case reports on the combination, so it looks more like a theoretical risk than a known one.

Does anyone have any info on this combination? After depression, back spasms are my #2 biggest nemesis and cyclobenzaprine is often the only drug I have easy access to for treating it.

FYI I am currently on 20mg Parnate.

*(edit): More recent/specific sources refer to Cyclobenzaprine as a 5-HT2 antagonists, NOT an SRI. However, I don't know if this is clinically relevant or not.

Edit- Conclusion: After diving deeper into the literature, it looks like cyclobenzaprine has a variety of effects and is basically a TCA with activity on serotonin and norepinephrine... Probably not worth mucking about with.

Got a prescription for Cyclobenzaprine (or as I like to call it Cyclops lol) and was wondering how to achieve best high? Or if it’s even possible

I always look at drug interactions online when I’m prescribed something and it says these can have a major interaction together, like death and breathing problems, but doesn’t go into detail about dosage. So are they safe together because of the dosage? Or should I maybe spread them out every few hours so I’m not taking them at the exact same time? He also prescribed me Dexamethasone (4mg), and I have a daily prescription of Spironolactone (50mg) for my acne. I am 5’1 and 200lbs.

I am current studying pharmacy and I was sort of wondering what the common practice in choosing one of the four agents above goes about. I am having trouble finding any resources online, and I guess I'm a little too lazy to ask my teacher. Exams are coming up and this isn't pertinent for this exam, but I was just curious. It seems that there is a big difference between muscle spasms and spasticity. Also maybe a particular agent may be preferred in a specific ailment such as MS. From what I have learned so far, we should lean more towards Baclofen and Tizanidine for spasticity in MS patients. The reasoning? I'm not sure. Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks

Backstory I guess, I’ve had on and off jaw pain on one side for 5 years and a few months ago it become constant and moved to the other side too. I got an MRI that showed nothing and went to PT for a while, who did regular massages (not intraoral) and dry needling and that wasn’t really helping. My doctor prescribed me cyclobenzaprine and it says to take it 3 times a day but 1. I can’t afford to be drowsy all day 2. I hear that cyclobenzaprine is addictive. I’ve been taking it a few times a week before bed and I’m not sure if it’s helping or not, it definitely makes my muscles relaxed in the moment though. My question is, would taking it frequently for a short period of time help my pain long term? So should I start taking it more or is it only effective at treating pain in the moment?

They help alot still got annoying 3/10 headaches but it's a start.

If you Google it, there are warnings about “seratonin syndrome” where you can go into a coma and die or whatever. It’s a small dose muscle relaxer and 50mg Zoloft. I just want my jaw to stop hurting.

They help me sleep like a big baby just like benzos, and only taken about once a week. I take 1.5. is it ok to take 2mg? Anybody ever tried it? Thanks a lot.

Anyone have experience with long term use of cyclobenzaprine?

I'm still waiting for the results of my second CT scan from a few days ago. I thought it was a stomach ulcer. They didn't find anything there. I suppose it could be anything.

I had back surgery (laminectomy) in July, and the pain without cyclobenzaprine is excruciating because my body is still healing. My doctor is fine with me taking these even after 4 months even though it's recommended to not be taken more than 3 weeks. So I'm worried about my abdominal pain and satiety.

Since the beginning, the only side effects are difficult BMs and hard stools (I'm taking stimulant/stool softener). But these new problems started about 2 weeks ago, and my doctors aren't sure what it could be yet.

On a personal note, I'm never hungry, though it doesn't hurt to eat. I miss the enjoyment of eating. I miss being hungry. Eating is just so boring now.

Any answers/speculation is highly welcomed.

Does anyone have experience taking cyclobenzaprine (muscle relaxant) and it causing a flair up?
I was prescribed cyclobenzaprine for a back muscle issue now my reflux is killing me. I have barretts esophogus and am currently taking famotadine 20mg twice daily to control. It has been working good until I pulled muscle in my back and gp prescribed the cyclobenzaprine now I feel like I'm starting all over again getting my reflux under control. Got thrown off my bike yesterday and fucked my shoulder so i was prescribed 5mg tablets of cyclobenzaprine and im a chronic smoker, is this a safe/good combo?

I have not yet taken it because I haven't felt like I have needed to take it but today I woke up and really the only time I am not in some sort of pain is when I am laying down flat on the floor. I would like to get some work done at my standing desk but I am wondering if 5mg of Cyclobenzaprine will make me super drowsy to the point where I cannot focus. btw I am 6ft and pretty overweight (above 250lbs) but I also seem pretty sensitive to most drugs

tl;dr will 5mg of Cyclobenzaprine make me drowsy/tired enough that I can't focus and get work done (mostly a lot of typing)

I was in an accident recently and my doctor gave me them. How much is safe he said to use half a 10 mg tablet but I didn’t have any relief from my spasm or stiffness. Then I took 3 tablets and only a minor increase of effect. I read I could take 60mg and be safe? Is that true?

Has anybody used this muscle relaxant? Is it safe with gastritis? I was just prescribed it by an urgent care doc for my back pain but he also prescribed me Percocet which I know is bad for gastritis so I don’t think he really understood the struggle.

So I’ve been told that my TMJD is muscular. That jaw clicking is normal, much like knee clicking is. I made a post about this already.

So I am curious to know if anyone knows more about this — will these meds get rid of my tinnitus? Because I feel like it’s getting worse, even though the muscle aches are going down. Clearly there’s a bigger culprit here, and I am trying to get a second opinion regarding my bite possibly. I already know that my posture sucks, and I had been seen a chiropractor for that. She so wonderfully repositioned my jaw back into place when it was debilitating, I couldn’t breath and I could hear my jaw scraping among the clicking. This saved me.

These meds though, not so much. I feel like my urine is becoming very dark, almost orange. This scares me. Unfortunately I can’t call a doc during the weekend.

I have seen a prosthodontist that prescribed me these meds, I am considering seeing an orthodontist or maxillo surgeon for better testing. No one has offered tekscan tscans, I can’t even find a place that does them. The prosthodontist just poked my jaw a few times.

Do these medications work for anyone else? Am I just taking them and causing harm to the rest of my body for no reason? My tinnitus is getting worse though my muscles are much more relaxed most days. I’m very conflicted. Both my dentist and the prosthodontist told me my mild crossbite can not be the culprit.

I am to take the Naproxen 2x a day for 1 week, followed by 1x per day for 2 weeks. Cyclobenzaprene 1x at night for 4 weeks and then as needed. How is this sustainable and how is this going to even solve the issue? It just seems like a temporary fix.

I have been wearing a hard night guard for 3 years, from my dentist. The only time I was severely grinding was when my jaw was super out of place before the chiropractor fixed it.

  I was a young lad in sophomore year of high school and my buddy, We’ll  call him Steve. Steve texted me saying he had some muscle relaxers. They were his dead grandmother’s old meds. He sent me the name on the bottle and I googled “Cyclobenzaprine high Reddit ”. I read some posts about it and told him to bring them into school. 
    
       The next day, Steve gave me a bag    

with about 15 pills in it. They were the yellow coated tabs with a V on it. The 10 mg ones. I took 1 with Steve and waited until the end of the period and took 1 more and a failed attempt of snorting it in the bathroom(burned super bad/coating was mixed in with the powder🤧). 2 periods go by and I don’t feel anything so I take 2 more (roughly;), waited 2 more periods, Still didn't feel anything so I took 1 more.

 Steve had another bag for himself that also had around the same amount as me, 10 pills. The same 10mg tabs. He gave some to my other friend, We’ll call him Adam. Either way, Steve and I were both giving Adam pills when we met up in the halls and bathroom between periods. I don’t know how many pills they all took but neither of us had pills left by the end of lunch. But I took about 70mg!! 

  Then in lunch we were talking and we both said. “I still don't feel shit we took almost all the pills!” By the end of lunch we took 1 more and then we started feeling it. We were being super retarded and super intoxicated in the hall all the way to the next class. It was English and there was a substitute teacher so we were belligerent and extremely fucked up we couldn't walk straight, we were both leaning into the wall and walking with our head and torso dragging along the wall. It felt like I was falling into the ceiling. 
          It was so Crazy!! Lmao. 

    I went to the next period…The last period! It was Geometry. The whole time I was nodding out hard as fuck! I could not keep my head up. This kid next to me kept waking me up but I was out like a light until the bell rang. No one said shit. I got on the bus and somehow? I don't remember even leaving class. Lol. but I got home, fell asleep instantly I have never been that tired in my life and I’ve overdosed on heroin before. My Mom woke me up at like 8:00pm with dinner. I got home at 3:00pm. I fell back asleep right after I ate and slept all through to the next day at 2pm . Lmao There's my story about the time I overdosed Cyclobenzaprine!!!!

Well, it is Friday again, and as I said before I do not have to be politically correct or do I have to agree with my country's stance on anything as I don't make any money of this public persona so, fine with me.

You may not agree with my point of view, that is fine. I tried to teach my closest friends that we can agree to disagree and leave it right there and still be friends. I failed with some, succeeded with others. All you can do, is your best ,at the end of the day...

My biggest problem is that I always believed that people around me had the same work ethic and they sure as anything do not. It took me a few decades to realize that something breaks inside people when they are pushed to their limit every day and ethics is just something that doesn't apply anymore.

I'm satisfied with my own attempts and it is well with me. As I always gave my best every single day, even when I did not want to. Some strange code I live by on the inside that no one else seems to feel the need to adhere to. I guess, you could say, I was over critical of my own self so I expected a lot from myself and I expected at least half that from the people around me.

So I'll just summarize what I've read and understood as an uneducated lay person. You all know what the is in the news, what dominated the news, what it is on the lips of our actors, our leaders of the show. Take the vaccine or be punished! In a nutshell basically... Here is the single thing that blows this commercialism that has crept into our own Federal system right out of the water. If you have had any strain of the CVD-sars airborne variant, you have immunity that is far superior to anything that any of the vaccines can give you. That is a fact Jack. You can't play it down. The fact that they did not make an exemption for people that already have immunity begs you to reconsider their leadership, or their lead science advisors. You should. I 22m have been taking nortriptyline 25mg to help with occipital neuralgia, and was originally prescribed cyclobenzaprine and baclofen to treat the condition.

My physician originally stated I should be ok to take them but I should be careful with drowsyness or amplification of symptoms.

I was sore today and during my nightly routine took my nortriptyline 25mg and without thinking took my cyclobenzaprine 10mg as well.

It's been about 1 and a half hours since I took them. I don't normally take the cyclobenzaprine it's only if I'm aching. I googled the interactions and it scared the living c so out of me. Do I need to be concerned even if this is a one time thing?

just curious if anyone has any stories of an actual "high" I read on a bunch of sites some say it gives a very relaxed body state, high/floaty feeling, and hallucinations some say it has no recreational value
