My cat (9 months, still young and pretty active) is, like most cats, exclusively interested in toys that can cause him harm. Shoelaces, beaded necklaces, and those mylar crinkle balls are his favorites. The shoelaces and necklaces are fine for when I play with him, but for unmonitored play, the only thing that keeps him entertained are the crinkle balls (I've tried wrapping paper, mice, twine balls, bells, plus random household objects as alternatives). However, he tries to eat the crinkle balls and has recently vomited up his first bits of plastic.
In short, what are durable, non-toxic alternatives to those crinkle balls? Or other suggestions for passive play? Thanks!

My two year old Hifiman Sundaras have recently started to make crinkle noise when adjusting the headphones on my head. I've experimented to find the cause, and it noise comes from the driver when there are changes in air pressure such as adjusting the headphones and applying pressure to the side. I've contacted Hifiman, but as my pair is out of warranty, they can't help me. Is this something I need to be worried about, or is this normal?
