A list of puns related to "Credulous"
Our series on UAPs and skepticism continues with this look at Skeptical Inquirer magazine's assault on the New Yorker for their article last spring on Leslie Kean and the Pentagon's UAP program. We publish all our stories in front of Medium's paywall so anyone can read them, free.
βEven the humblest Party member is expected to be competent, industrious, and even intelligent within narrow limits, but it is also necessary that he should be a credulous and ignorant fanatic whose prevailing moods are fear, hatred, adulation, and orgiastic triumph. In other words it is necessary that he should have the mentality appropriate to a state of war. It does not matter whether the war is actually happening, and, since no decisive victory is possible, it does not matter whether the war is going well or badly. All that is needed is that a state of war should exist.β

I'm in season 2 of SG-1, watching for the first time. I'm constantly stunned by their credulity and lax security standards.
What drove me to post here is Linnea from S2E3. You went to a prison, broke out someone scary enough to be top dog, then let her keep all her technology and gave her access to your classified information. I wouldn't be so easy going with a visitor to my house, much less an unknown presumed criminal on a military base.
Much of the plot seems to be driven by their seeming inability to even do as much as the TSA.
Having said that, I LOVE this show. I just think it's weird how easily they let randos wander around base.
A couple days ago, Matt retweeted someone pointing out a bunch of blue checks some of whom cover disinformation repeating a quote about a mega pastor that originated on a satire site. Today, an article about that quote hit the front page on /r/nottheonion. This shit is ridiculous.
Judging from the title, many people will agree with me, and at the same time, a lot will get mad. To start off, I want to thank whoever agrees with me because this community needs more people like you. For those who donβt, Iβll explain why and I hope youβll rethink after reading this post .
Why is our community credulous?
Letβs take a look at these pictures:

Some if you might notice that this was posted by Solar Subs. But thatβs not the point that I want to talk about. There are a lot of problems in this simple post, which are:
Itβs not that hard to acknowledge that with such different lightings, WE CANβT SEE WHAT HAS CHANGED. I donβt know how these superhumans really think their nose got more symmetrical, smaller etc because for me, an average person who has common sense, donβt see any differences despite the lightings.
This situation has happened various times in our community, from reddit to Instagram.
PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE AND CRITICAL BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THE SUB COMMUNITY MEMBERS NEED TO BE. DONT BE A FOOL BECAUSE EVENTUALLY WE WILL LOSE MEMBERS AND MAKE A BAD REPUTATION FOR OUR COMMUNITY.
Thank you for spending your time to read this post.
He says after congress already pass the stimulus that its a disgrace and it should be $2000, seemingly convincing some people here that heβs their populist champion BASED KING and Democrats are BAD and just want people to starve!! Pelosi already responded saying letβs do it (AOC and Talib already introduced the amendment, but theyβre evil, remember!!!). McConnell and the Grand Old Boys, on the other hand? Lol. Dems suck, but some retards on this sub donβt seem to realize that Republicans actually suck way worse.
The thing I noticed browsing through twitter for some time is that there's so much information about idols that have no credits, but people still believe in these things.
I'm not even talking about fake acounts and tweets like: "I'm 13 and *that idol from a famous group* tried to assault me at the club", which obviously come from haters. No one believes in this kind of stuff.
But when it comes to pretty much innocent and sometimes sweets things like "I know someone who knows someone that as he said was a classmate with *Idol name* and told me a story how *Idols name* once saved a puppy who fell into the river... oooh, he's such an angel". (I know it sounds weird but that's just an example lol). What kind of source is this? And it will get hundreds or even thousands likes or rts anyway.
I mean it's not a "Keanu Reeves saved my family from a burning house and paid all my bills." level and I can believe in this, but I still wonder...
Fans easily reject any bad infromation about their biases and with the same ease swallow anything that praise them. Isn't it a bit hypocritically?
Well maybe it's just me being skeptical about everything.
Wendy's back at it again - they're a pretty egregious offender
"unnecessary logo" flair is also appropriate
