A list of puns related to "Courland"
I just want to conquer everything in the name of the Knights Hospitaller. smh Firaxis fix this
I know in-lore Courland was essentially the rump leftovers of Mitteleuropa made by German Hardliners. The country lasted from the 1980's until collapsing and being annexed by Latvia in 2010.
My question here is what was the life of the average Hans in Courland? How free or oppressive was the regime? And what, if any, could be any OTL parallels to how the country was founded, operates, etc?

Quick intro:
I picked them(my family's heritage) after getting through the tutorial and getting a very basic grasp of the plethora of controls and concepts, and finally made progress, eventually founding the kingdom of Lithuania and consolidating power. No one country nearby has anywhere near the power my kingdom does.
I designed my ruler towards full development, finished the steward tree and controlled almost all the holdings personally so that I could get the most gold and build as much as possible during his reign.
--- here is where I have questions.
How in the heck do you adopt an organized religion without the entire countryside turning against you? It seems like you pretty much have to go feudal at a certain point. I feel like I could have kept conquering county by county under tribal government, but there seems to be a critical mass for tribal government.
I'm new still, and while I know intrigue and back room politics play a major part in this game, I can't seem to accomplish anything other than conquering people to get anything other than marriage alliances. I did all the vassalization stuff in the tutorial, but that doesn't seem to be worth it at all in tribal gov, since you can just take stuff and out a kid or relative in charge when your domain gets too large. I feel like there is a huge aspect of the game I'm not understanding. If I want one barony of the kingdom of Sweden, how the heck do I get it without waging a decade long war just for a county or two?
Are innovations really 50 to 100 year commitments or am I just straight up missing something?
After the Baltic Offensive by the Soviets during late 1944, Army Group North was isolated and became Army Group Courland. Now these units could not be used in defense of the Reich but they also tied up some Soviets unit. Now even if the units had managed to escape they wouldnβt have won the war but Iβm sure they could have helped in some way or maybe they just would have been more mouths to feed and equip. So ultimately, who did the isolation of Army Group Courland help more?
I just gift him somthing then now i can trade with weapons,, is there a good weapons should get? or better to save those ( souls)
After being inspired by u/Uliopleurodon 's post about the Soulfeeder, I wanted to make a quick post about this theory.
As mentioned in that post (read that shit), there is good reason to speculate that Courland and The Ringed City are one in the same.
It's already fairly common knowledge that Ludleth of Courland has a similar appearance to the Pygmy King that we briefly meet in The Ringed City. Ludleth's throne also bears a striking resemblance to the Pygmy Lords' thrones. But just because Ludleth is a Pygmy doesn't mean that Courland is The Ringed City, right?
Let me make an attempt at desperate extrapolation.
In the Soulsverse it is common for names and titles to be altered/misinterpreted by time or by association. (Londo becomes Londor, Drangleic becomes Drang). I think it'd be reasonable to interpret Courland as "Court Land".
A "court" is described as:
"The residence or establishment of a sovereign or similar dignitary"
"A sovereign's formal assembly of councillors and officers"
The Ringed City is literally a land designated to the court of Pygmies.
This, along with Ludleth's striking resemblance to that of a Pygmy Lord, is enough for me to accept that Courland is just another name for The Ringed City
Please let me know what you think and poke as many holes as possible in this theory!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: After reading Ludleth's dialogue, I have my doubts in this theory. Mainly because of 2 lines:
In regards to Soul Transposition: "A forbidden art, that once left a foul stain upon Courland's honor" The Ringed City doesn't strike me as a place known for it's honor.
And "Most transposing kilns were lost with Courland" If Courland has been "lost", then I doubt that it is in reference to The Ringed City as it still exists.
