A list of puns related to "Claudius Aelianus"
As addressed previously in my other posts concerning the mythology of the god Ninurta – it was claimed that at some point, Ninurta himself came to be identified with Gilgamesh the Sumerian hero, or viceversa. And thus, yet another proof of the unification of Gilgamesh and Ninurta into one single character would be the following: in one version of the death of Ninurta – the god was “killed” by having his tendon injured as mentioned by the myth entitled: “Ninurta and the Turtle” in lines B36-46: “Against Ninurta, Enki fashioned a turtle from the clay of the abzu. Against him he stationed the turtle at an opening, at the gate of the abzu. Enki talked to him near the place of the ambush and brought him to the place where the turtle was. The turtle was able to grab Ninurta's tendon from behind. The hero Ninurta managed to turn back its feet. Enki, as if perplexed, said, 'What is this!' He had the turtle scrape the ground with its claws, had it dig an evil pit. The hero Ninurta fell into it with the turtle. The hero did not know how to get out from ....... The turtle kept on gnawing his feet with its claws (?).” This of course – much echoes the killing of Achilles by Paris who shot an arrow through his tendon. The fact that Gilgamesh inherited some mythology from Ninurta (since they were considered one and the same god – even though they were probably distinct figures) and corresponds to Achilles of the Iliad; is also given by the fact that Achilles mourns the death of his companion/cousin/best friend – Patroclus – much like Gilgamesh mourns the death of Enkidu. Gilgamesh is born as a threat to Enmerkar – the ruler of Uruk; who ordered the killing of the infant after he’d received a prophecy that he would be dethroned by his grandson – where Achilles is also born under similar circumstances; since Prometheus, the fore-thinker, had warned Zeus of a prophecy (originally uttered by Themis, goddess of divine law) that Thetis (the mother of Achilles) would bear a son greater than his father, and since both Zeus and Poseidon had been rivals for Thetis's hand in marriage, after hearing the prophecy – for this reason, the two gods withdrew their pursuit, and had Thetis wed Peleus – a mortal, thinking that the son would not grow strong or, if he grew strong at all – he would only be better than a mortal (Peleus), rather than a god

Consequently for the theme of "confrontation" between Abraham and Nimrod as expressed by some Rabbinical and Islamic sources [Van der Toorn & Van der Horst (1990), p. 19. which quotes Pseudo-Philo; in the Talmud and rabbinical writings of the Middle Ages according to the Jewish Encyclopedia Daat (in Hebrew). Herzog College; or the Islamic-Ottoman manuscript Zubdat-al Tawarikh of 1583] – in this case Gilgamesh (called within these writings with the name “Nimrod” – representing an “alternative” or good version of “Nimrod” – coexistent with the “evil” one) would thus be identified as a "righteous and just man" because he’s devoted to the worship of the one true God - Shamash; the Sun (who was later-on made to be the one and only God and thus retroactively; these Myths were charged with monotheistic meaning where originally there was none) - who protected him (and after Shamash’s cult had fallen into disuse that role was assumed by the Babylonian God “Marduk” [Ishkur-Hadad] that replaced Utu Shamash through s

It really does, I swear!
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies 😂

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
When I got home, they were still there.

When people say that a modern tank or f-14 or a guy with an assault rifle could kill a dragon no sweat, the entire argument is kind of specious. I guess if you are using a bog-standard D&D dragon, or some other specific universe, it gets easier because you could argue that its easy enough to calculate. But if you are speaking of some sort of platonic ideal fo a dragon, as people speak of a platonic ideal of a vampire or of a werewolf, as just a general picture of traits often associated with it...the question becomes quite specious.
Let's try and look at some famous dragons of mythology, ones I find to influence our conceptions
> TIAMAT
From the Mesopotamian origin myth. portrayed as very powerful, an incarnation fo chaos, required either one of the most powerful Gods (Marduk) or the most powerful god (Ashur) to kill it, depending on which culture we're using. So presumably more powerful than the military, one would think.
> LEVIATHAN
maybe more of a giant fire-breathing lungfish, going off the biblical description, but those traits make it pretty similar to a modern conception of a dragon. and medieval art Drew it with some features we associate with dragons, today so I think its fair to say that it is some sort of basic idea of a dragon.
God, it is said, is the only being who could stand up to this beast r the similarly fierce Behemoth of the land.
> Cetus, the monster of Troy
killed by a mortal man, albeit one who had magic shoes and a magic sword, who had just slain medusa. described very little, besides it living underwater and dying by the hands of Perseus, and its hunger for a virgin princesses.
So could the military beat it? I don't know, maybe. the power level is pretty up int he air.
> Claudius Aelianus's Dragon
Okay, so a modern military unit should presumably have no trouble with these. they are just 55-meter long constrictor snakes that feed on elephants. then again, very few modern dragons take influence from Claudius Aelianus's ideas.
> Street George's Dragon
This was killed by a human, but a Saint with the power of God (although not anime, which would not be invented for well over a thousand years) on his side. Explicitly there is some level of divine intervention, as he was able needed the princess he was saving tot throw her belt at him
