A list of puns related to "Chiropteran"
Iβm trying to make a mini Chiropteran shell for a gift (the FOTL bat shell) and Iβm not totally sure how the origami for the head works. Anyone have any idea how itβs folded?
Our favorite googly eye bat is no more, the bats eyes are now stationary. Not sure why this was changed but it was the literal reason I bought it back in the day. What gives or us this a bug because the eyes are drawn on cardboard
EDIT: itβs because my resolution was set too low so disregard this I am dumb
Trying to see by how much this form alters the height and weight of the user. For "academic" purposes.
So, I came across this article, which stated that bats have three muscles assisting the down and upstrokes, but I couldn't find which muscles exactly. Though bats do seem to have less pronounced pectoral muscles.
It would be better if I could distribute the flight muscles for my winged humanoids throughout their torso (flexibility is f*cked either way) because they're unmanageably bulky as they stand right now. Sure I extrapolated the argentavis from the works of Chatterjee when designing them, and I might be able to shift them slightly and lower the bulk, but I'm unsure.
We just received word this morning that Drodo will be adding a new unit to the game. All we know officially is that it is a Dragon/Mage unit named Winter Chiropteran. Based on the name, synergies, and unit model, it's a pretty safe assumption that this unit is going to be our version of DAC's Winter Wyvern. This post will be working with that assumption. Before we continue though, Winter Chiropteran is a mouthful. Chiropteran is a fancy word for bat; so unless we think of something more clever, I'm going to be calling this unit Winter Chair.
Now let's get into it.
Winter Chair (if it is based off of DAC's Winter Wyvern) is a 1-cost Dragon Mage with low (550/1100/2200) HP, no armor, and a little (10) base magic resistance.
It's ability encases an ally in ice, making them immune to damage for a short time, and healing them for a percentage of their maximum health. During this time, enemies will still attack them (like they do against someone protected by Fortune Teller). The ally encased in ice doesn't build up mana from taking damage, doesn't auto attack, and doesn't activate their abilities (though passive abilities like The Sauce's mana fountain likely still work).
So this ability helps buy time for the backline, by making the tank immune to damage, and healing them up. Great for mage comps.
Speaking of mage comps, with Winter Chair being added to the roster, we now have 6 non-legendary mages!
That's great! I mean, I miss my big blue boy, but this unit seems like fun.
Drodo has not announced which piece (if any) is going to be "temporarily" removed, but if they follow what they've done in the past, they'll probably end up removing a piece of a different cost, making a synergy difficult to obtain... I'm guessing Abyssal Crawler or Fish Guard.
But maybe they won't!
Either way, we've got another 1-cost piece in the pool. It's going to be slightly harder to find your goblins, and to 3-star your Frost Knights, Egersis Rangers, and God of Wars.
The Dragon part of this unit's synergy is worth talking about. We now have four Dragons. Dragon Synergy grants 100 mana to 3 dragons, starting with the ones furthest on the left, so if you plan on fielding all four dragons, keep whichever one you want to be unaffected further to the right. From my perspective, I'm not sure I'd want Winter Chair to have its ability ready right away.
You may not remember this, but the old claw wand (the item that

Chiropteran (Batfolk) Race Details
While very dangerous when pushed to violence, Chiropterans normally prefer to avoid conflict altogether, even going so far as to migrate entire colonies to a new area to avoid danger, unless the odds are stacked in their favor. Chiropterans are shy and normally uninterested in the goings on in the world outside their subterranean homes. Most Chiropterans grow up in small familial communities called "colonies," whileΒ others are known to live in abandoned buildings, towers, and sewer systems of cities. Those raised in colonies rarely leave home unless there is dire need. Chiropterans raisedΒ in cities often find themselves involved with criminal elements that are happy to make use of the Chiropteranβs natural gifts. They love being underground and in the dark and are typically uncomfortable above ground and in the light as it makes them feel exposed, so Chiropterans living as adventurers are highly motivated to put themselves in such an environment. They love collecting stones, gems, silver, gold, and any valuable shiny object that can glint in the dark parts of the world.
Colonies
Most colonies will exist without ever going noticed by the outside world. Often the entrances are small holes in the top of tunnels or hidden in the shadows of cave walls. Many travelers of the Underdark walk with no knowledge that several bows are trained on them from high above and along the ceiling, on the miniscule chance they notice the entrance to a Chiropteran colony. Colonies are often built with several tunnels leading into the large chamber to offer multiple routes of escape, should they be discovered by the Duergar or Drow. Adventurers stumbling upon a colony chamber would first notice the large murals painted or carved into the chamber floor, fixed with gems found by the Chiropterans. Chiropterans live at the highest point of the chamber, looking to the beautifully designed f

Chiropterans are a race of humanoid bat-folk descended from giant bats. They are highly social with their own kind but tend to be more secretive from other races. They live in family clans in cave systems and tend to be nocturnal as their eyes are adapted to low light or darkness. They have evolved to have their wings sprouting from their back rather than from their arms as their ancestors. They resemble an aarokocera in build but are bat like rather than bird like.Β Due to their family nature they tend toward lawful and put the needs of the colony above their own and as a result do tend toward good alignments despite their tendency to separate themselves from diurnal races.

Hello! first time poster, still getting used to the system so apologies for any mistakes. Messed about with the warforged race from the Ebberon UA (credit to WOC for the base) for a friends game, still needs some serious balance but it's got some interesting stuff. Chiropterans (Batfolk) are my own creation, first real try at making a race. All help and suggestions appreciated! Thank you!
