Ceraunics Puns

I love elemental damage and maelstrom sounds powerful, but that bleeding effect is cool too. Right now i'm thinking of using xiphos until i get a few good elemental guns and a third slot (for better using storm weaving). What do you think?

Anyone got any suggestions on a level 70 build working on them 2 tree mainly. Maybe one or 2 skills from the middle. Any Athena pros out there with some recommendations on a build?

After the insanity that was UVHM of the Final boss ofthe Claptastic DLC (still fun just had a LOT of help) I'veb een trying to figure out what would be a good build for my Athena, she's currently 53-54 but I was wondering if this good for 70:

so if you get wrath of the goddess in phalanx (the bouncing aspis to multiple enemies) and zeus's rage in ceraunic storm (fire and lightning explosion when aspis is thrown) do you think the zeus's will proc for every bounce? because this could pump out some mega damage especially if you have a bunch of maelstrom stacks.

has anyone seen this online or tried it at an event? id love to know.

There's no doubt that Athena is a wonderful character, and she can definitely hold her own amongst the four Vault Hunters. But, Ceraunic Storm doesn't feel concise. Here's my argument:

Storm Weaving grants buffs based on weapon swaps. Unrelenting buffs weapon swap speed. Clearly, they want you to swap weapons to keep your fire rate up, building Maelstrom. That would make sense, except that:

• What's the point in buffing reload speed AND weapon swap speed? If my reload speed is high enough, I'm not going to want to swap weapons. Its tedious, slower, and you start to lose Maelstrom just to get that buff back. Elemental Barrage also contradicts Storm Weaving; if you're getting free shot chances, you're not going to run out of ammo as fast, therefore you won't be switching weapons as much.

• The tree is catered towards shock/fire weapons, and continuous laser beams seem to be the dominant weapon in the game across the board. Namely, the Vibra-Pulse and E-Gun stand out on most of the forums I've seen. For all the buffs that increase fire rate, I can't tell if continuous beams are even affected by fire rate buffs.

• Flash Freeze only works if you have a cryo weapon. If I'm building Maelstrom stacks by the hundreds, would I really want to stop and switch to a cryo weapon just to activate Flash Freeze, then switch back? No, that's tedious.

The whole tree just seems jumbled. It would make more sense if Maelstrom stacked from every element, or there was a clear focus on either reload speed or weapon swaps. The entire tree also limits the loot you really want to even find. If its not a shock/incendiary weapon with a high fire rate and high ammo capacity, why would I want to keep it? My first playthrough with Athena felt limited because I knew that if I wanted to use Ceraunic Storm, which even the loading screen touts as being 'unmatched in terms of damage', then I couldn't even consider using corrosive weapons without sacrificing Maelstrom.

Hey there guys, love playing as Athena and made my way hrough True Vault hunter and normal mode. Now on Ultimate Hunter mode I kinda wanted to spice things up and go for a Phalanx/Ceraunic build. I was wondering what weapons or equipment would be good, not to mention if this build is doable in UVHM? One thing I kinda disliked about it in BL2 was that not every build was feasible in it's UVHM (See sniper).

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
