A list of puns related to "Bumpkin"
Hey all.
I work in IT, and my job is entirely remote. Given that fact, I want to flee the city within the next 6-12 months. However, I am an immigrant and thus am naive to the towns of Ontario.
I have my eye on somewhere like Goderich. Calm, slow, easy country access, water, pretty cheap, solid amenities. It also has a BJJ school, which would be awesome as I have been dying to get back in (not $200 a month in Toronto dying, mind!).
Really my only requirements are good internet for work, reasonably inexpensive rent (I won't be purchasing for a few years), and a small, tight-knit community vibe.
Appreciate any wisdom and insight you can give me!
This was honestly a stress for me to finish. But I did it. Hope it is good.

Letters of Recommendation
(Briefly describe relationships with your recommenders and estimated rating.)
I have no idea. I think they were good? I asked my history teacher (super cool dude but idk if he liked me) and my chemistry teacher (didn't do too well in chem, tho, haha). I go to a private school so I think that gives a leg up. 8/10?
Interviews
(Briefly reflect on interview experiences, if applicable.)
Had some TRULY awkward interviews (Yale, I'm looking at you) that left me bummed after thinking I'd just been so-so. Had some really fire interviews (Stanford) that left me feeling pretty good after. Well, I don't know how much that mattered... I didn't get into Stanford and did get into Yale so, well, maybe don't stress as much as I did LOL

I've gotten over the initial heartache through the help of this community because it helped me see that even though I had my faults, he really wasn't that great of a husband either. Those rose-colored glasses have been chucked into the garbage bin.
I luckily had a friend who had just bought a house that was in need of a roommate. It was kind of perfect timing, so I moved in with her. The divorce isn't stalling any of my long term plans, so I'm still working my way to financial independence and home ownership. However, I am now an hour away from the closest city. The outer reaches of the suburbs are a bit closer, but even then it's a 40 minute drive. Don't get me wrong, I am actually liking living in the country. It's peaceful and my roommate and I are both on the same wavelength in that we want to be those crazy ladies that everyone thinks are witches.
My question is this: for any of you who similarly live outside of major metropolitan areas, how do you meet guys and date? I'm hesitant to dip my toes in the local dating pool because, and I hate to stereotype, people in rural areas tend to be a little backwards. And I'm also not too enthusiastic about commuting just for dating. Is it still possible to find men worth a damn out in the middle of the sticks or is it a lost cause?
Thanks in advance, if anyone tries to or even reads this.
a) What is your age range and general location (Country so that cultural values can be taken into account)? Do you have any impairments that may affect the way that you answer this questionnaire? Any religious or political beliefs (or anything else along those lines) that also might have an effect?
30, in USA. No impairments that I know of. Not religious or political.
b) Which types are you currently considering? Why are you considering them and why havenβt you decided on one?
4, 6 and 9 because those are mostly what I get on tests. Enneagram is so complicated, though. I've been typed as damn near everything. Even 8 and 1 before. -_- That's why I'm trying this.
2) What do you deem as your purpose in life?
I don't like to think about this, which is often a part of what makes people type me as a 9. I generally feel kind of detached from the world, so how I can contribute to it is of low importance to me.
3) Of the seven deadly sins, which one(s) do you relate to the most and the least and why?
Some who know me might say Sloth, but I think it's Lust. I have very hedonistic tendencies.
Pride is most likely the least, due to me not liking to take much seriously including 'achievements.'
4) Analyzing your relationships with others, briefly describe:
a) The type of people you are drawn to
Kind, accepting and non-judgmental people. Especially if they're adventurous and fun at the same time. I'll be the first to admit that I'm very sensitive and don't like to be around anyone whom I feel like is losing patience with me, or is otherwise rude in some way. I especially seem drawn to EXXP 7s with 9 in their tritype, to be extremely specific lol.
b) The type of people who are drawn to you
Usually people who want someone to listen to them. I'm told I give off an aura of someone with a lot of time and patience, even if internally I'm annoyed and would rather not be bothered. I tend to express this very passive aggressively.
c) The type of people you are repulsed by
I'm irritated by a lot honestly. People with hidden agendas who are trying to paint narratives instead of just listening. People whom I find selfish and whom can only seem to talk about themselves. People who talk to me like I'm stupid or give me attitude without calmly explaining what they feel I've done wrong.
**5)What are the traits in others that you admire but you cannot emulate yourself? Elabor

After Essendon had won, we headed back to the Spencer Street to go home. We had a fair bit of time to kill, so my dumb ass suggested we go for a ride around the loop. I thought it was a loop train that came back to Spencer Street. I can't remember how we found out we were going wrong, but by the time we got back on another train back to Spencer Street, we had missed the last train to Bendigo.
My sisters friends grandfather came from Falkner to rescue us. Stayed with them for the night and caught the bus home the next day.
Hello everyone, on our recent Podcast about friends forcing other friends to play/watch/read stuff, we had Pikmin recommended to us. This was the first time two of us had played Pikmin and we all enjoyed the game to varying degrees. We're sharing the podcast partly as a self-promotion but mainly as a way to generate more conversation about this gem. We'd love to hear how wrong our opinions about the game are from those most passionate about it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acd9kA8IK00&t=3s
why canβt i just fucking walk in and get a vaccine? my state has too many tiers and keeps changing them. i have been waiting to finally get the vaccine this month, then my state decided fuck caring about jobs and preexisting conditions. only 55+, healthcare, and teachers are getting it but then theyβre lifting our restrictions?? not enough of us are vaccinated yet i am still working 7 days a week with an autoimmune disease praying i can last until i can get the shot in may. iβm sick of this dumpster fire
I find it so painful watching But I'm A Gilmore and How Many Kropogs to Cape Cod, in great part due to Rory's behaviour. Okay, I get that she's probably never been in a private home as fancy as the Huntzbergers' and yes, it's her first grown up job at the Stanford Gazette, but c'mon!
She acts like Brendan Fraser's character in Blast From the Past where he's been locked in an underground bunker his entire life.
She didn't act like that at Chilton, or Yale, or Madeleine's house (which looked like it wasn't far off from the Huntzbergers'), or either of the news rooms where she's worked before. She has also worn heels before, and I can't imagine her being so unprofessional as to take her shoes off at work.
My skip finger is itching.
To start this off I donβt even know who these people are.
Iβm from a small city in Northern Ireland and was going to buy something for dinner from the local business park, and took my mother with me.
To make this a lot clearer, my mother is very disabled. She suffers with heart failure, dangerously low blood count and a condition in her limbs (that I canβt say let alone spell) that causes her to swell up with fluid and makes it very hard for her to move around. Me and my older sister have to actually help her with basic human needs, the cherry on top of all of this is that she suffers from anxiety and depression.
So we pulled into the car park and went for the disabled spaces at the door of the shop (she has disabled badge guys donβt worry) and all the spaces are full but we didnβt think that a little sporty car in one of the spaces had a badge. So my sister got out to check. Surprise surprise...it didnβt and we waited for them to return and had basically blocked the car in because it was the only place out of the way of the very full car park and then eventually a couple of βgentlemenβ opened the car and shoved a whole load of oddities into the boot and were bickering about something I donβt give a shit about.
They left the car and went into the shop we planned to visit and then a space next to them opened up and we pulled in. At this point we were pissed so we waited to see the guys come back again to ask why they were using something they didnβt need when others clearly needed it. One of them came back to get a ladies purse from the backseat of the car and hereβs how it goes folks...(insert jolly wee piano tune here)
The cast of the show: BEB- bug eyed bitch, she loved to try stare us into submission in between squealing like a beaten piglet. CT- cheeky twatface, heβs a real mouthpiece that was lookin a smack. BU- back up, he didnβt do much just had the demeanour of a pissed chihuahua lol. IK- injured Karen, this was the woman that apparently owned the disabled badge that doesnβt quite know the difference between contradictory statements and sarcastic ones.
MB- momma bear, a 46 year old woman that deals with more shit than most of us face ever. She just wanted to know the truth. MS- my big sister, sheβs a 23 year old pushover normally but you mess with our family and sheβs on you like a friggin panther. ME- me (shock horror), I mainly just sat in the backseat and admired the stupidity from there because I generally donβt like confrontati
