A list of puns related to "Bruiser"
BUILD DEFENSES. if you are behind and build damage you will be useless anyway because since you are underleveled your damage won't be significant anyway. You better build armor or magic resistance according to who has the most gold in the enemy team and stick to the one in your team who has the most gold and damage and try to protect him from whoever tries to kill him soaking up damage and eventually die in order to keep the guy alive. If the game keeps going and eventually you have a comeback then MAYBE you can build a bit more damage if you feel like the team is tanky enough. Hope this is clear to understand.
Now I know what youβre thinking: what the heck is a reverse sheen proc? Iβm telling you itβs a great way to balance an item for Ap bruisers but not make it broken for mages or ap assassins. The current item shop is severely lacking in AP bruiser items, especially since all AP items in the game are simply classified as 'Mage' items, even though not all AP champions are mages.
Orb of Corruption (void looking thing with a bunch of eyes on it)
3000 gold
250 HP
60 AP
30% Attack speed.
Builds from a Leeching Leer and a recurve bow.
Unique Passive - Leech: Gain +8% Omnivamp (Riftmakerβs omnivamp will be moved to a unique passive with the same name, making them mutually exclusive)
Unique Passive: Auto attacking a champion will empower your next ability cast that damages an enemy champion will cause you to regenerate 50 - 100 (+35% AP) health over 2.5 seconds. 15 second cooldown, reduced by one second by each auto attack. The regen is granted by a spell affect that is consumed on use.
Edit: cooldown 6 -> 15
This is legendary item, not a mythic. This means that AP bruisers (currently, only Gwen and Morde are the only real ap bruisers) are no longer locked to riftmaker as the only real mythic, and are free to use other AP mythic. Itβs not terribly efficient on assassins since it requires a long combat duration. Mages wonβt want it due to being gated by auto attacks. The item will allow AP bruisers to use items like rocketbelt or Everfrost.
Some ap champions who don't opt for bruiser builds now, but could bring more defined playstyles to champions like Sylas, Diana, and Elise who are somewhere awkwardly between bruiser and assassin, but just build assassin items. Dropping this item would most likely shake up the meta in many ways, and require adjustments to the champions that are buying it, or the item itself, but after a few patches, non-mage AP would be in a much better spot- as all of them are in sort of awkward positions in the meta right now, Gwen being statistically the worst champion in the game or close to it on many sites, and Mordekaiser despite all of the buffs and recent item changes is not much farther ahead of her. If this item becomes too problematic on specific Ap bruisers- the healing/defenses in their own kit can be targeted. Choosing to purchase this item means making a meaningful trade off by not purchasing an item that does damage- or possibly even skipping zonyas.
everytime this trait pops up, two asuras pop up on my shoulders, one angelic, one devilish. i end up always picking saying 'this time it will be different'... and get rolled every time. Is this trait ever good? It doent seem to counter much other than other wet noodle comps
Hello fellow Junglers!
I have a quick question regarding my Championpool. I want to play some AP Fighters in the Safarizone. Are there any in the Meta? I got Mordekaiser and Gwen on my list.
Would love to get some suggetions!
Kind regards,
a low Elo Jungler
Who really builds stridebreaker anymore , after the dash removal almost no ever builds the items. So my question is what purpose does the item have now other than slow someone and stick to them. Though this might seem good the truth is if a mage or adc get close enough to the active to being with they are probably dead as most bruisers already have slows in their kits, so it feels redundant. Also the current bruiser itemization is very polarising it depends on weather you can proc spell blade easily. If yes, you build devine sunderer and if no you build goredrinker. As a result no one ever builds stridebreaker or trinity force. I would say mage and adc mythucs are very versatile atm, if you want damage you build ludens and kraken, if you wanna build safe you go crown or shield bow then u have items like liandrys for hp burn and galeforce for more mobility and everfrost even gives you slow/root.
Tldr: asking how to make stridebreaker and trinity as good alternatives to gore and ds.
Bruisers as a group seem over-tuned.
Now that hots feels like it's in the twilight years I've found interest in messing with typical meta strategies. As I mess around the one strategy that stands out above all others as particularly successful, is taking a second or even third bruiser to fill either an assassin spot or the tank spot. As long as you have some sort of ranged hyper-carry like a Valla/Tychus/ZJ, as well as a healer for sustaining late game fights, the extra "beef" in the 4 man makes misplays during team-fights really forgiving.
So yes I get called troll a lot for switching my Raynor pick to "trash lightening Thrall" or 4 man Rexxar, also switching out my Diablo pre-pick to Imperius or even Deathwing or Artanis can tilt my team, and I understand, I really do. But also, I win with that strat, an abnormal amount.
Now obviously Ragnaros can't tank, and Blaze and Imperius are fluid between filling bruiser/tank. But in general someone with twice the hp of a ranged assassin and twice the damage of a main tank seems really effective for team fights, not just solo-laning.
Thoughts?
Has anyone tested spear/hatchet with heavy armor? My intention is that both weapons scale of of each other. Im thinking of str/dex/con 150 or something around that. Any suggestions?

This is a guide on how to play bruisers reroll, specifically on 3 units: Vi, Ekko, and Trundle. Normally your board will look like this:

When should you play this comp: YES
At the start of the game, type "It's time to TROLL" and proceed to take cloak like a madman while everybody confused af.
Why should you play this comp:
You will have THE best mid-game in the current meta, try it yourself and see. Thus guaranteed a top 4 because you will always have a lot of HP into late-game, usually around 50-60 at 5-1, left to bleed. Also it shits on AD comps like Yone and Urgot because of Trundle.
Another reason is this comp is augment independent, you can just pick any neutral augment and it's works just as fine. So grab those Celestial and TotH without thinking too much about options.
How should you play this comp:
Itemization:
Cloak >>> Bow > Gloves > Sword > Everything else
Trundle BiS: QSS > Bow item (Preferably RH) > BT
Ekko BiS: FH > Morellos > ZZ'rot/Dcap
Trundle BiS has 3 cloak components in it so grab that cloak as much as you can, which is not that hard since no one is competing with you for a cloak, unless they read this guide.
Ekko items for utility.
Why no Vi items eventhough you should reroll her before Ekko? Well Vi BiS is also utility like Ekko but Ekko is just better for holding those items. Building One-Punch Vi is not recommended because you will just accelerate the fight instead of stalling for Trundle to ramp up.
Early-game (Stage 1 + 2)
You want to winstreak or at least lose minimal HP as much as possible. You can even sac your econ to make sure you don't bleed here. This i
... keep reading on reddit β‘I know they are really good scopes but when I put them on an assault rifle it screws up my close quarter combat. But I always see streamers and pro gamers on videos using it really effectively. But then again they are really useful for medium range combat, any tips?
Is a ranger too much? Maybe I should stick with the bruiser? Should I turn up my ADS sensitivity? Or maybe I should just stick with the 1x Hcog?
Bruiser Caster = Caster who concentrates on Martial Capabilities, potentially to the point of dumping their Casting Stat, using their spells for Buffs and Utility so that the reduced DCs/Spell Attacks aren't a concern.
Basically all non-flying Races allowed. I also have a substantial aversion to all the 'use [Proficiency] or [Stat Modifier] per Long Rest.' My brain just hates having to interact with them.
Thanks for all your help/insight etc. In advance!
UPDATE: Likely going Strength Domain (Amonkhet Planeshift/UA) Cleric. Thank you to everyone for all your insight!
Lost 4 games today, got fed in each one of them, actually stomped lane and mid game. But eventually tanks and bruisers get their items and I just can not do anything. All 4 of those games my team was also pretty far behind except me so that didnt help. I'm really good at winning lane and getting very fed but closing off a game agaisnt champs who just dont care about me or my damage and also dont let me engage onto their carries feels impossible. Went 12/5 but the enemy had a 14/5 aatrox and a Hecarim so i guess whatever i did and do just does not matter.
I'll say right off the bat I'm very new to MOBA in general and I've only been playing HOTS for a couple days. I seem to do pretty well when playing against AI (because it's a game against AI) but when I go to play against actual players, the playstyle is radically different. It seems like everyone plays heavy heavy crowd control abilities, so any time I get close to the opponent team I just get stunlocked or rooted and killed. I can hold my own pretty well in a 1v1, but that seems to happen pretty rarely. Melee assassins and nukers usually just show up and do a bunch of damage, stun/root me, and leave since I can barely do any damage back. Is there a real role for tanks in this game?
Edit: added a follow up question in the comments
I mean, think about it. She's really mobile so she can out kite or out run most top laners, her passive is good against Champs like sett, and tahm who have disgusting amounts of shielding. Her q autos proc sheen so you can just build trinity and move faster and always do more damage on q. Her q autos can instantly stack black cleaver so she has good armor shred against something like malphite for example, not to mention she can go manamune since q stacks tear and it procs muramanas on hit. AND Her q charged attack scales with max hp to my knowledge so that would be some extra damage.
As of right now the website has 13 character and 5 different roles/classes.
Bruiser: Batman, Superman, Garnet, Jake, Shaggy.
Assassin: Arya, Finn, Harley.
Mage: Bugs, Tom & Jerry.
Support: Steven, Reindog.
Tank: Wonder Woman.
I'd like to note that in the original announcement trailer Batman was listed as an assassin, seen here. I think a lot of potential characters will fall into the Bruiser category and there will probably be some overlap between each roles but Bruiser being the easiest to fill and least defined.
Steven being support is kind of self explanatory but differences between the Bruisers are less defined. Shaggy has ultra instinct (super saiyan) and Superman is well, Superman. Both these types rely a lot on strength, something Batman doesn't necessarily do yet WW does but of course she is a Tank not a Bruiser. I'm less familiar w/ Garnet and Jake but they don't immediately scream brute force powerhouse like Jake is a shapeshifter and Garnet I guess is like Martian Manhunter? IDK.
While I think Arya Stark and Batman are more alike fighting style wise than Batman is to Superman or a Super Saiyan, I'm not here to say Batman should be this or Harley Quin should be that.
Its very early still, I see a lot of wish lists but what roles would many of these characters be? If Ben 10 got in I think he'd be a Bruiser, if Godzilla or King Kong got in I'd think they too would be Bruisers or maybe Tanks?
Obviously someone like Harry Potter or Gandalf would be a Mage. Samurai Jack would be an Assassin? Popeye the Sailor Man could be a Tank?
I would love to see King Shark but on face value he is a Bruiser unless you focus more on his regenerative qualities and make him a Tank that perhaps can chomp opponents to heal himself. I suppose Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from Dune could be a Tank. The Flash would most likely be an Assassin.
If Power Puff Girls or Ed, Edd and Eddy or the Animaniacs were in the game what would they be?
If the developers are reading this I think a short definition of each role would be helpful on the website and ingame at character select or something.
Anyways what are your ideas to fill out some of these roles like Support, Tank, Assassin and Mage? Cause right now nearly 40% Bruisers.
For context: it's the card that gives temporary health ler pellet landed. It feels underwhelming since it's .25 of 1 hit point per pellet and it doesn't seem to count on kill, which means close quarters shots almost never give the temp health. I thought it would be WAY better...
I'm not sure when this interaction will be gutted, but it has to be soon. This has got to be the most unfun combo to play against because it's viable on half the champions in the game so long as you have Yuumi. You can draft 2-3 viable victims for Yuumi to latch onto, so almost no matter what, someone will be even or ahead. Punishing her in lane means next to nothing once she has a single item or if the other half of the map is doing well.
At least with Yi + Taric you could play around their ults to some extent, and Taric needs to land good q's as well as setting Yi up for resets. Yuumi doesn't need r or q to be useful. She just falls asleep on the e key, and occasionally has to wake up to proc passive. All the while her vessel is near unkillable and faster the predator ghost singed on a 5 second cooldown.
Been playing this build on a constant bases. Elo is Gold btw. I enjoy this build so much compared to AP/AD Shaco. Sticking onto targets and just slowly melting them is so satisfying π€ͺ Of course it requires you to get ahead and farm a lot, but the end results is fun, people cant really burst you down. I tend to build wits end instead of Randuins at times in case there's a lot of AP Damage dealers or Visage as well. Runes are just Hail Of Blades.
Enemy has absolute mental torture dealing with my ass, I almost barely die averaging to 5 deaths mostly. You can swap POM and Alacrity with Absolute Focus and Gathering Storm if you wish.

like the old goredrinker build. i really liked playing it, is it viable at all anymore?
BORK rush into Yone as Katarina felt good... is there any AD build which i can use for tank shredding and bruiser type build that you guys recdommened, ie vs nasus, jax, warick etc XD. Thank you guys
It has been reported that Content Creator Hoosier the Bruiser has died. Details are not yet known.
As a community, we send our love and support to his wife, family members and friends.
Full lethality is obviously (well... not really for some people here :V) trolling, yet i'm still curious what are your opinions about building Aatrox similarly to Rek'sai or Pantheon which stands for lethality mythic + regular tanky bruiser items, in this case i ask for Prowler's Claw. Goredrinker is shit anyways, Prowler's Claw gives extra engage tool, have descent amount of ability haste unlike Eclipse, it's high damage (more damage = more healing) and after all with this build at least on paper you still are a descent frontliner because my idea includes Sterak's Gage together with Black Cleaver. So why it doesn't work (nobody does that so i'm probably just wrong anyways)?
Edit: I forgot to add that Rek'sai typically builds Edge of Night before bruiser items but i'm not considering it here.
Hey guys been playing a lot Vex lately and I've been doing really well. One issue however, is I notice that even if I win lane and get to like 7/0, if the enemy team has a fed bruiser/tank like Nasus/Sett and my team doesn't carry, I pretty much just lose. Feels like Vex is pretty useless besides dropping fear on these champs. Any tips? I tried Liandries/Demonic but it actually still doesn't deal enough damage. How do you guys deal with these kind of games?
HCC had some helpful videos called βBoots on the Groundβ where he walked/videoed the north bluff along the creek all the way to the crime scene, and also on the βdown the hillβ area of the southeast end of the bridge.
Now I see folks saying Hoosier the Bruiser did βboots on the groundβ videos before his passing, (RIP), so Iβm confused.
Title. Divine sunderer? Titanic hydra? Steraks? Whats the order too?
I enjoy Solo but also killing stuff and Iβd want to know which Warriors are the best at accomplishing this Iβve played around with a few like Mulan, Chaac and Odin and Iβm wondering what other warriors can effectively Hybrid solo
Iβm hearing that next season Osiris is going to be nasty but Iβd like some more suggestions on heroβs and what are the best bruiser items to build on a warrior
Another thing is what is the suggested build for Cu Chullain Iβve heard he isnβt in a great spot but I like his mechanics and would like some tips
Thanks
We have Pyke who partially scales with Lethality, so why not do the same to the rest? I think that would be a good way of preventing assassins from building bruiser items, mainly as their first item. Build diversity is one thing, but being able to one shot while being super tanky is toxic and is not a playstyle that should be encouraged.
