A list of puns related to "Breakage"
Do you have a figure that had seemed like a great fit or was more dynamic than it actually turned out to be, only to now having a regreted purchase?
Maybe another rendition would help?
Which toy is it?
I know about many treatments, conditioners, masks ect that help with bonding or coating for protection- but I wonder about shampoo because many are marketed to be "anti-breakage." Is this just marketing?
More specifically: Is there any evidence to support certain ingredients, PH levels, or formulations of shampoo are better than others for breakage?
I wear my hair in protective styles most of the time (currently wearing crochet braids). My problem is, outside of protective styling like braids I'm having breakage issues, particularly at the crown of my head. I wear a head scarf at night, and it's only the middle of my hair breaking. It gets worse when I'm outside of protective styling. I can get my hair to grow, but as soon as I take it out of the protective style I lose any progress in that area. I can't tell if it's how I'm sleeping (I don't have a headboard so my bed is set in a corner) or something else. I tried not wearing braids all of December and it got noticeably worse just in that area. It's not traction breakage, it's just like my hair snaps off at 1/4 inch in that area even when the rest of it continues to grow just fine.
Any tips on 1) how I can add moisture without worrying about the braids slipping out or 2) a protective style that's easy to maintain that won't add stress to that area and encourage growth? I've always done well with braids but with the pandemonium I've been afraid to spend more than two hours in a braid shop. There's a chance it's stress related but I can't help that until I get a new job.
Normally I loosely plait my hair when I sleep to prevent breakage and tangles; but today I cut off 14 inches of my hair. My hair is now shoulder length so it is to short to be able to pull it back loosely. I donβt have silk pillow cases/bedding not to a plan on getting silk pillow cases/bedding because the feel of silk on my skin makes me cringe and living in an old house with bad heating I donβt want my bedding to leach the warmth out of my body.
I use the tangle teezer but I feel like it may be breaking my hair.
I am writing this post mainly to ask about maintenance and care of spectacles. A few months ago (October to be precise), I bought a pair of βtitaniumβ glasses, with the lenses and glass frame setting me back at around USD260. At around mid, part of my glass frame underwent paint corrosion (my glasses were brown, but part of it started becoming gray).
I wash my glasses every two to three days, but I leave them to air dry. I did not think much about it as I thought that titanium was anti-corrosive and that the paint can easily be fixed. However, yesterday, when I pushed the glasses towards my face (which is sort of my habit), the titanium frame broke completely at the site of the corroded paint. I am still very perplexed as I did not use too much force to handle the lenses, and I am pretty sure titanium frames are durable and anti-corrosive.
Does the glasses community have any tips for me in maintenance and care of titanium glasses, and may I know if this kind of breakage is normal for titanium frames under light handling?
Note: I am using semi-rimless frame, and the frame broke at the rim which was around 10mm by 5mm, all of which is made of a metallic material (supposedly titanium).
Hey guys! My hair length is probably just past the back of my bra currently, and Iβd like to grow it back to previous lengths.
From growing it that long, I know that braiding my hair and cutting once a year (if that) is the way to go. I had Kate goslin bob cut hair in 8th grade, and I braided my hair nearly every day for the next four years to get to near tailbone length when wet.
Thing is, I love doing a half up ponytail. Without fail, I have to rip or cut the hair tie out of my hair each time. Obviously I loose a lot of hair with it. Clips also rip chunks out when removed. I have thick frizzy wavy hair so itβs not a problem, but Iβd like to be able to do half up ponytails. Any tips? Silk scrunchies usually donβt wrap enough times to hold securely.
I have 4a hair and thin strands. Iβm experiencing breaking at my crown and need tips on how to grow it back as well as hairstyles that will help protect it. Feel free to list styles to stay away from! I had no idea ponytails were so damaging but thatβs the only thing I looked good in so I kept doing it
My hair has definitely been healthier since I graduated from elastics to spirals, but I feel like I always look like I'm on the way to PE in them. They're practical for my day to day but I couldn't wear one to a business meeting. I've been looking into more 'grown up' versions and I'm a bit lost - on one end of the spectrum there's more colourful ties which can be cut to length, on the other there's mulberry silk scrunchies. Are there any alternatives to clear elastics for braided styles? They keep my hair in place but often at the cost of some split ends, and honestly the fact that they're single use pains me.. I need something to keep my hair out of my face that looks professional, I'm just not sure what, exactly, I'm looking for.
I have type 1 hair, very fine & (tragically) thin, but it's fairly grippy so it has been known to hold bobby pins/hair sticks. More generally though, I'd love to hear from people with every hair type, it's always really informative to see what works for other people. Learning about 2a-4c hair helped me understand my own, and why certain styles/accessories will never work for me even though they look amazing on my friends.
What do you use to keep your hair out of your face these days?
I am moderate guitarist so I tried to run Archetype Petrucci and in the output all I am hearing is breakage and cracking sounds (every noise apart from the tone). My windows machine is average having 8gb of RAM. Can anyone please help me with the best settings? Or troubleshoot this issue?.
Ps: i am using Archetype first time.
I knew a kid in the City when we were both young. He was troublesome, to be sure.
His Mother would whip him for his transgressions with a wire coat hanger untwisted and straightened out. It would leave bloody welts across his back and the backs of his legs.
Iβve often wondered since how much of the trouble he seemed to constantly court stemmed from and in fact was a result of those beatings. Abuse a dog sufficiently and for long enough, heβll become either timid or vicious himself. Why not a young boy?
Pimps would beat their women in such a manner when they stepped out of line. But they had the forethought to wrap a towel around the wire first. It would still hurt like hell, but the merchandise that brought in the money would therefore not be as visibly damaged.
A child was of less value than a prostitute.
People knew of it, but it was never reported or acted upon. As hard as it may be to understand, it was a time and place when outside authority, or neighbors, were reluctant to intrude upon what went on behind a familyβs closed doors, except in the most egregious cases where they had no choice. The same was true of Social Services of the time. And the Courts. It could be a long-drawn-out struggle for one parent to gain custody of a child from another, even with ample evidence of abuse, neglect, or endangerment.
Unbelievably, some children were treated even worse.
Some were abused in other ways.
We as a society were raising a new crop of angry, dangerous men and women; taking whom could have been happy, productive people and molding them into something terrible.
Some I knew later killed or were themselves killed.
Some, granted your true and unjudging friendship when they had known none or little of such before, would out of love and unbreakable loyalty kill For you if it were needed.
Some would wrack up impressive criminal records, and would spend a good deal of their time in jail. Those would invariably be light-hearted and fun-loving on the surface when with the friends they valued, but with always a haunted look behind the smile, and in their eyes.
Some I knew didnβt know How to love, having for too long and from too young an age been shown little or none of it themselves. They seemed incapable of caring much about anything. Those were the most dangerous ones. They would Try to be a friend, in appreciation of the hand of friendship extended, but it was like they didnβt quite know How. You never knew completely w
