So I have this theory on D. Gray Man.
We know that Neah passed on his memories to a host named Allen, and he should be thirty-ish by now.
However, Allen Walker is not that age (he could be due to the implication that cross once said that he seems to be getting younger, plus hevraska said Allen was the destroyer of time and it could be referring to him somehow breaking his age, but let's assume a linear time flow).
For me what makes sense is that Allen walker, is actually Allen the second, and there was a previous Allen that had the fourteenth memories and passed it onto him.
As we know, the bookman clan was previously allied with the Noah, and in one panel, we could see what it looks like a younger version of the elder bookman peaking through the door.
My theory is that his successor was named Allen, and as Neah died, he realized the successor was there and passed his memories onto him.
Perhaps when the red-handed boy went to confront the apocryphos (which is hinted at in the next chapter), Allen was there and he tried to save the boy and died?
