A list of puns related to "Bonaire"
We just got our Padi license. We did the course in swimming pools.
Do you think Bonaire is a good destination for our first exprerience?
I understand it's a very free type of diving where you don't need an operator. We are woried it might be a little dangerous going without an operator.
Maybe going with operator for the first two dives and going by ourselves after that is ok? Or do you think it's still dangerous.
EDIT: We did one open water dive for our final test
EDIT2: Ok, I'll give details cause people seem to be worried. I actually did the PADI course and got the certification in 2018 in Koh Tao and never dived again. My sister, who I'm traveling with, got this year her SSA certification here in Buenos Aires, the course was given in swimming pools, and I'm not sure about the details but I understand she did one open water dive for her last test.
I just need to know if it is a good idea to go to Bonaire for our first diving trip and diving by ourselves after a few first dives with an operator. Thanks
Hi, I'm looking to head to Bonaire for a week at the end of January, and I'm an avid scuba diver. The only issue is I'll be travelling alone. How easy is it to meet other divers on Bonaire, or do people mostly stick to themselves?
Does anyone know where I might be able to find a place to get a rapid PCR Covid test on the island? Specifically a PCR test that would give us results within the day? I'm aware that travelers must get tested on the 5th day of their time in Bonaire, however my flight home leaves the next day and it would be ideal to use the same test to depart, instead of scheduling two different tests on two separate days. Because of the time crunch, a rapid PCR would make the most sense. Not sure if anything like that is available. Thanks!
We had a wonderful time. Amazing destinations and crew. Feel free to ask me anything:)
We have a trip planned with buddy dive from next week but Bonaire is listed as level 4. Should we travel?
How are things there? We have a trip planned for a week from this Saturday and considering canceling. Booked at buddy dive.
I'm headed down for some shore diving. I'm used to going on dive trips alone but thought I'd try this out. I'm AOW and Enriched Air Certified. I have a few hundred dives logged and have traveled all over the world diving. Not really looking to share expenses (I'm already renting a truck) but wouldn't be against it. It just would be nice to have someone to hit the water with.
We are vaccinated Americans who havenβt been scuba diving since covid. It looks like all we would need is a covid test or two to get into the country according to the website.
Is everything open and operating there? Does it feel covid safe?
How is the weather in early December? Is it high season already? If anyone is out there β¦ info would be appreciated. Thx.
I have accommodation sorted and looking for options to drive & dive during 4 or 5 days in Bonaire. Any suggestions?
The current requirement is that you need a PCR test within 48 hours of departure for Bonaire. However, lab tests take 2-5 days to process and return results. How is this possible? I didn't forsee this issue and have a flight there this Saruday. I scheduled a PCR test for Wednesday and Thursday, as well as an antigen test (as an added measure) Thursday afternoon. I'm afraid I won't have my PCR results prior to my flight. Any help or direction is greatly appreciated!
I have a trip planned for Bonaire in December; I will be 1 week shore diving with a group and then I'm staying for another 6 days alone.
I'm debating what to do after the group leaves... either stay in Bonaire and do some boat dives (worth it?) or go to Curaçao. My flight leaves for Bonaire so I will have to make it back.
Any suggestion?
What are the best dives in Curaçao? (especially wrecks if there are some)
And best boat dives in Bonaire?
My family has a place on the island and ill be there in January. Aside from diving, im looking to check out some climbing since the limestone there is great.
Does anyone know if there are any established routes? Bouldering or sport. Thanks!
Hi guys, just a quick one. I have a place in Bonaire, but am from the UK. I haven't been able to come out this year yet due to work. I can't find any real info on rules coming from the UK. Is there a particular website for rules for entering bonaire in covid? UK gov website says flights from UK are banned but others say otherwise!
Would spending time in Netherlands first work?
Thanks!

We take you into the engine room, enter the wheelhouse, make our own wreck discovery, take you to find her anchor on the second reef at night. We get buzzed by a pack of tarpon on the hunt and lots more. We can assure you that you will want to dive her again and we provide you some of the tools to make your own discoveries. You will even get to learn about the history of its sinking.
