A list of puns related to "Bank Account Number"
I have a person that is trying to send me money but they are asking for those 2 numbers to do so. Is it safe to do this? I looked it up and apparently those numbers are on all the checks you write so they canβt be that sensitive right?? Keep in mind that this person is new to my life.
Edit: they are saying they canβt use my email to send me an e-transfer cause they want to do a βpayrollβ
Not a complete stranger, but I'm not taking chances. How safe is it to give out all these information to someone who wants to deposit money into your account?
Thanks for any information
Hello, baguhan palang ako sa pagiging adult (18) and wala akong trusted adult na mapagtatanungan kaya dito nalang HAHAHAHA thank you so much sa mga sumasagot sa posts ko dito, i really appreciate this subreddit!
Ayon nga, magbubukas ako ng isa pang bank acc bukas for my stipend. Dahil don napaisip ako, ilang bank accs bang meron ang isang typical na adult? May iba't ibang benefits ba kung may accounts ka from various banks? Parang sim lang ba yan mga globe smart ganon, to offer variety :((
edit: Another question
I'm planning to withraw all of my bereaved mother's money from her bank account. Is it okay to have a bank account with 0 balance? Automatic bang madedelete ang isang account with no balance kung wala nang recent activity from the accountholder?
The Malaysian bank has confirmed it has been deposited into someone else's account and has asked me to make a report regarding this, from the sending bank (the UK bank).
I went back to the UK bank and they informed me that they could not make a report because theirΒ records only showed Wise as the recipient, and there was no record of the wrong account number I had transferred to.
I called Wise and requested for them to make a report to the Malaysian bank. They said that the best thing that they could do was for me to send 'Proof of Payment' to the Malaysian bank. I sent the Malaysian bank an email with this attached. Nothing.
I called the Malaysian bank again and they said they could not accept Transferwise's Proof of Payment. They concluded that I needed to make a police report regarding this issue. And I would need the UK bank involved, which I had already tried!
I called the UK bank, asking whether a police report was possible. They said no, and raised the situation to their Payments team, telling me it would take a month. After only a week, I receive a letter stating the following: 'Based on the sort code and account number you've given us, we've identified the bank that received the payment. We asked the bank to identify the person the account number belongs to and to contact them to recover the money. The bank has told me that the recipients funds credited intended beneficiary a/c and therefore, they haven't been able to return the payment to you.'
They then advise for me to take the matter further by contacting Citizens Advice, which I have tried and they couldn't do anything about.
I am running out of options here. Any advice, especially legal, would be much appreciated.
The thing that got me curious about this is I am trying to figure out how to pay off my bank of america credit card with my t mobile money account (a type of checking account)
I don't really know which number to put in
Current plan is to put in the number associated with the credit card that is not on the physical credit card into t mobile money and try to pay one penny to it as a test, are there better plans?
The question I have is whether storing the cash in a Wirex account is a viable option? According to their website, their insurance is 30 million with plans to increase this amount. Link: https://wirexapp.com/help/article/is-my-x-account-secure-and-protected-0426
Am I missing something here? Wirex even provides a Visa card so you can spend your cash just like you would with a traditional bank.
[Located in Washington] My roommate sent me money for rent, but when the money was sent, it was sent to someone else's name but the right number. I contacted Zelle and am in the process of talking with the banks, and will make a police report. I have no idea how this happened as I have never given out any confirmation codes, but I would like to know what to do or proceed with next. Is the money from my roommates end reversible through Zelle?
HODL. HODL. HODL.
REALITY CHECK. THE PRICE IS STILL UNDER $200. YOU HAVE WEEKS OF HOLDING UNTIL THE STOCK REACHES 7 FIGURES

My parents were just asked for their bank account numbers before renting an apartment.
They said no for what it's worth, but they said they'd be ok with a credit check. Their score is probably higher than the landlords.
Hi guys, I just stumbled upon a video on tiktok where an American girl talked about having a hard time getting used to people in Poland (and I guess Europe too) just throwing their bank acc number at each other like itβs nothing.
I mean, having that number is only enough to send the owner some money but you need a security number and/or PIN to make any purchases whatsoever so itβs pretty secure. One guy in Vienna literally let me snap a picture of the front side of his card so I could give him back money for smokes.
Is it just a culture thing in the US or can you actually scam people with just their bank account number?
As stated above, Iβm currently filling out a βForm 410β rental application and have been asked for a chequing and/or savings account number on the application. Iβve never had to provide this previously. Is this common for landlords to ask?
Why YSK: A lot of people donβt utilize their bankβs online bill pay feature, myself included up until about a year ago. Not only does it save time, the bank usually provides this service for free and will even mail your check for free to the designated payee (so no paying for postage either). When you go this route, your bank sends a check with a different account number on it while still debiting your account, so you get all of the benefits of writing a check without any of the vulnerability that comes with sharing your account number.
As the title says
I didnβt receive EIP3 but today I was able to go in and enter my account and routing number. It also asked about my 2020 taxes. How long until I receive the payment?
Cant reach out to any customer support. Help Me :(
Hi PHInvest!
I transferred last night from my ING to my CIMB and checked this evening if the payment went through.
ING debited the account right away, but since they use PesoNet, I waited to see it reflect in CIMB. I could've sworn I quadruple-checked the bank account number.
I know you'll come for me, but I screwed up the last digit. (I should've tested it first, I should've checked more, etc... yeah I'm dumb)
So, amount debited from ING, sent to wrong CIMB account (which I'm pretty sure is active cause it didn't bounce).
ING customer service is totally unresponsive on their app (tried their in-app message and their in-app email) and on Facebook (which I'm sure is handled either by a community manager or they've set up automatic responses.
tl;dr - I stupidly lost money and I'm desperate to get it back, but I don't know if it's even possible. Anyone with a similar experience or who knows what I can do to reverse the transaction asap?
