A list of puns related to "Badge Of Shame"
Just curious whether you get the badge of shame banner showing you didn't qualify if you fail to qualify for the opener. I know you get one if you qualify for the opener but don't qualify for the weekend. Thinking about failing to qualify to get the package but no intention of playing the tournament on my baby account.
You all know we need it, forced badges for offending players for a limited time.
Graverobber. Looted a comrades death box before respawn.
Deserter. Quitting while the respawn counter is active
The Caustic special. Camping in a room surrounded by gas traps while the teams respawn counters slowly die out.
Hi all,
This may be a controversial post. Let me state with absolute clarity and conviction that I am NOT in anyway suggesting that anyone else do what I did. I am not suggesting that there is no risk involved in having a drink. And I am NOT suggesting that you should read this post and use it as justification to experiment yourself. If you have any doubt in your mind at all, the safer, saner, and healthier choice is not to drink. Period.
I wanted to share a little bit about the circumstances around my decision to reset my badge. I've seen folks post with grief and anguish about losing a long and hard fought battle to refrain from drinking. My heart goes out to anyone who is struggling with their attraction/addiction to alcohol (and any substance really). That said, I feel it's only in keeping with my intention to be accountable to myself that I reset my own badge after having had a few drinks over the course of a recent vacation.
I'm not torn up over my decision to drink, nor the decision to reset my badge. In the long run the number next to my name is a tool, and a way of keeping track of my own progress. This isn't a race and I'm not going to get any special rewards or glory for whatever number appears next to my name. Don't get me wrong, I took a lot of pride in getting my first star, and I am very much looking forward to getting much further down the road. But I needed to try something, and I had a good opportunity to do so while on vacation recently with family.
I chose to drink with full intention. I wanted to see, now that I had over a month of not drinking under my belt whether or not the urges would still be there in the same degree as they had been previously. At first I discovered that I could limit myself to 1 or 2 drinks, and that experience was a novel one for me. It was affirming to actually be able to drink just one beer and choose to stop there. I should also say that I never had more than 2 drinks in one 24 hour period during this trip. However, I also learned something very important - the urges are absolutely still there in the background. By the 3rd time I chose to have a drink on this trip, the familiar patterns and cravings were starting to re-emerge.
I am now home, more than 48 hours past my last drink, and intentionally choosing to return to not drinking for the foreseeable future. I do not need to poke the bear again to see if he still will roar and pose a risk. But I also know that perhaps once in a rare while, a sip o

First and foremost.
I'm still buying this, Vanilla Apex is worth way more than $9.50 IMO. I'm more than happy to give them any money at this point. They have certainly earned it and I'm excited to have something to work towards. Thank you Respawn for such a fun, thought-out game! If you're enjoying this game why not help support the team that not only made it but will continue to keep it going. What better way to do it then through the Battle Pass. Sure it's not everything we hoped for but personally I still think it's worth my $9.50 and it's totally ok if you feel otherwise, this is just one person's opinion. The following is only meant to be constructive criticism and if you have ideas on remedies please voice them.
My Biggest Issue.
With that said there seems to be one glaring issue for me at least. That issue is the badges you get for every 5 levels you earned (or bought) for that season. I think they should just have a level 100 Badge, or a season 1 Badge that levels with you (maybe a 50 if you must.) Every 5 levels means a total of 20 badges = 20% of the rewards we are getting from the pass and I think most of us can agree most of them will never be used the majority of players.
I understand this might be confusing to some.
I want more from the Battle Pass but I'm still going to pay for it. "Vote with your wallet". That's something I definitely do. This time my vote is one of my faith in Respawn as a company, rather than it is my complete satisfaction with this Season 1 Pass (even though as I've stated above I still think it's worth my money). They've already been vocal about improving the future of this Battle Pass and have proved in the past they listen to their community. In buying this Pass it's me investing in a game I've come to enjoy a ton for it's future. You can love something, support it, and still critique it at the same time and that's all this was ever meant to do.
Maybe I am reading too much into this. tluther01 had a good idea and mentioned that maybe each badge comes with something extra (ie. an apex pack or crafting material) and that's not a bad idea whether it might be true or not. (There are currently no descriptors for each level on the website so we won't know until tomorrow unless someone can clarify this) If it is true, awesome, if not maybe it's something that can be looked at for next season! Respawn makes great games
