A list of puns related to "Ascorbic"
Hi.
After sifting through numerous threads here trying to find and answer to questions I found myself having to ask for your experience adding these to prevent oxidation.
Some say add to fermenter before fermenting, some add ascorbic acid to mash, some say add to keg.
As far as I know Potassium Metabisulfite is known as Campden, and are sometimes marketed in my country as Yeast Stop, used to stop fermentation in wine. I assume it would not be smart to add this to fermenting vessel...
Also, dosage? How many grams would you add of each?
Hey folks. Iβm on day 3 CT. Iβve noticed since I stopped (Sunday being day 1) that I havenβt felt badβ¦..at all. Not normal mind you, but not bad. No chills, sweats, sneezing, yawning, runny eyes, fatigue, so on and so on. Well I did some digging yesterday and ran across the possible reason for it. Since my mom died with Covid Iβve bean taking vitamin c in the form of liposomal vitamin c. I have functioned at 95% for almost 3 days and upped my dose yesterday evening to 3 capsules (roughly 2500 mg) felt just fine. Sleep hasnβt been great but all in all I believe this vitamin c is the key in my story anyway. Iβm usually in WDs in about 12 hours of my last dose. Yawning horribly and eyes watering uncontrollably. Non of that as of yet. Just a hopefully helpful tip.
Seen some small scale influencers promoting it. Is it legit ? Has anyone tried?
Hi guys, for the life of me I canβt figure out if I can mix my water based geek and gorgeous ascorbic acid vitamin c serum with the ordinary resveratrol & ferulic acid serum which is an anhydrous while carrying on with the rest of my routine with water based serums as Iβve always been told that anhydrous serums should be last but I wanted to mix both serums to boost efficiency and create a powerful antioxidant mix
I'm going to purchase one vitamin c serum. Which form of vc is better?

This is a strange one, but does anyone know of somewhere that sells food grade Ascorbic Acid (powder preferably) in or around HRM?
I want glowtail but can't seem to find the mushrooms. Is there any spawns. Or anyway else to get them?
Pretty much what the title says - recently bought The Ordinaryβs Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% and Iβve used it thrice now. Iβve noticed that it feels a little warm when I rub it into my face. It cools down a few second later and doesnβt remain warm on my face - but is this normal, or is something up with my bottle? I store it inside a cupboard so it isnβt exposed to sunlight or any heat source that could explain this.
So I am cautious with what I take with my meds. Any food containing vitamin c or ascorbic acid makes my meds stop working.
I always get vitamin c in me at night to kick the med out of my system or I canβt sleep.
Does this happen to anybody else?
Itβs such a drag that I have to be careful with food until nighttime. I enjoy ketchup and pickles but they both make my med ineffective. Is there a way around this or should I keep monitoring everything I eat throughout the day?

Enzymatic oxidation occurs when Polyphenol Oxidase comes into contact with oxygen in the air. The polyphenol oxidase, or PPO, is the catalyst in the reaction that produces the dark .
L-Ascorbic Acid is a type of chemical compound that is found in Vitamin C. Due to its association with Vitamin C, the compound has similar oxidizing properties as Vitamin C. L-Ascorbic Acid also exist in isomerism with other compounds that make up the Vitamin.

Background
The role of ascorbic acid in cancer therapy is mainly due to its structural similarity with glucose. When supplemented intravenously in high dose, ascorbic acid can get into the cancer cells and induce apoptosis by causing mitochondrial damage.
Aim
The aim was to study the efficacy of high-dose intravenous (IV) ascorbic acid as monotherapy in cancer patients following ketogenic diet and its role in improving the quality of life.
Results
C-reactive protein (CRP) and erythrocyte sedimentation rates (ESRs) were considered as parameters to determine the efficacy of the treatment, and substantial decrease in both the levels was observed within 1-week treatment. CRP levels declined from 3.1946 Β± 3.2508 mg/L to 1.0606 Β± 0.6706 mg/L (P = 2.27E-10), whereas ESR levels declined from 64.1333 Β± 38.8253 mm/h to 31.6 Β± 16.5520 mm/h (P = 0.0041). A decline in these parameters shows the association of ascorbic acid in reducing the inflammatory response in cancer. The renal effect of ascorbic acid was also studied by analyzing the creatinine level pre- and postascorbic acid treatment sessions, and it raised from 0.8526 Β± 0.22904 to 1.1666 Β± 0.2894 mg/dL (P = 1.18E-14). This showed the renal impact of ascorbic acid.
Conclusion
The study highlighted the clinical benefit of IV ascorbic acid in the reduction of inflammatory response in cancer patients. The renal adverse events associated with ascorbic acid alarm the use with caution and therapeutic drug monitoring for ascorbic acid.

I have been on tret for 3 and a half months now, and I have seen great improvement on my Closed comedones, most of them are out by now. But I still have many dark spots from acne. So I have been thinking incorporating Vitamin c to my routine. I came across the ordinary serum that i have mixed feelings about. So my question would be: did it break you out? Or helped in fading dark spots? What has been your experience with it? And what are the most effective if not vitamin c in evening out skin tone?
And Thank you everyone who comments, asks, and posts their results, you have been so helpful to me and so many in this sub!

Iβm fairly new to skincare and i use The Ordinaryβs Ascorbic Acid + Alpha Arbutin in the mornings after my water based toner from HaruHaru but iβve just read that the Ascorbic acid is an Anhydrous solution since it doesnβt perform well with water so now Iβm wondering if me using the Ascorbic Acid is even working after using my water based toner. Am i even fully absorbing the Ascorbic Acid?Does anyone have tips for me so i can get the maximum effect of the acid?
So I tried using ascorbic acid in my last West Coast IPA to prevent oxidation off flavors when I racked to secondary and then again when I bottled. It has been over 2 weeks and all the bottles I have tried are flat, which may be related to something else, but I am not sure. Also, I added 1 tsp each time according to research online to add 1 tsp/5 gal and it tastes tart. Not like a sour ale, but like orange juice. The hop flavor and malt profile taste good, but I feel like I can taste the ascorbic acid still. I don't notice any oxidation flavors. Should I just reduce how much I add? Is ascorbic acid maybe not good idea? The beer is almost undrinkable to me since it's flat and pretty tart.
I got a bad reaction I think from general over exfoliation from using both these products as instructed morning and night.. how can I try to reintroduce them more gently or is one of them more likely the culprit?
Most patient / professional guidelines on potential food / drug interactions will cite Vitamin C ( ascorbic acid - for some reason, when trying to post , I was blocked with a message: β You may not have βacidβ in your titleβ ) , as well as Citric Acid as potentially interfering with the absorption of stimulant medications such as:.
amphetamine
methampthetamine
lisdexamfetamine ( Vyvanse )
ephedrine (including ma huang )
pseudoephedrine
However, almost all conventional food/drug interaction sites indicate no such interaction issue for methylphenidate ( Concerta).
And, yes, I totally get that amphetamine ( where there is a strong interaction factor ) and methylphenidate are significantly different substances - but Iβm beginning to now suspect that in my daily stack of supplements which Iβve been taking along with my Concerta which includes 1,000 mg Vitamin C & 500mg of Niacinamide, may be the underlying cause for why my maximum daily dose of Concerta feels ineffective. ( I just started taking my usual morning Concerta without the supplements from this morning , so itβll take a few days for me to figure out whether the supplements might be the problem in my case ).
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
Can anyone tell my what to mix ascorbic acid with ? I already use azelaic acid but I want to try something else , should I mix it with sunscreen or nivea face cream or water? Please help π
