A list of puns related to "Achewood"
Technically, the anniversary was a couple of days ago, the first strip was October 1st 2001.

Hope you chochachos all had a good time today. It hardly seems possible, but it's been five years since the last strip and the blog conclusions. Congrats to Chris and Achewood for making such a great, lasting accomplishment.
C'mon everyone, take fuck you out for a spin today.
Congrats to Onstad for 20 years of amazing work. Also, fuck you.
Or is just it the βlife is cruelβ story?
Surprised no one has said anything. Does anyone know why or if it'll come back up?
So here is my situation. I have been a long time Achewood fan, like pretty much all of you I expect. I started reading, by my estimate, about ten years ago when I was sixteen. I don't want to seem given to claims, but I was all over the assetbar community. Sometimes I can even remember why Asherdan sucks, if I try real hard (I am not trying very hard right now and Asherdan is probably actually an okay dude). Having read it back to front many times (even the early stuff that is not what the celestials call, "dope") I resigned myself to knowing that Achewood would always be a beautiful part of me but that apparently soda and little paintings were the thing now. How much sweeter, then, the surprise of discovering the "honor club". I guess I had seen that one alt text about how honorclub stuff would be available to us broke plebs but never looked into it. "Ha, what a mistake!" It is so good, all. Do yourself a favour. Don't be like me, ever, but especially not in this regard.
Anyway. In the Print-Only Rarities collection there are two chapters of The Story of Achewood, a plain text "origin story" of Teodor moving into the Achewood house. It is pretty neat, and also good. The prose so crisp but friendly and accessible, so tinged with mysteries previously unknown. Under these chapters the margin advices that they and other subscriber only features can be found at "serializer.net". I was all in a lather. Then, all in tatters. I found that this website must not have been one of the better websites, 'cuz it totally doesn't exist any more, sort of like what will hopefully happen to Cracked soon now that it is also super bad. Thanks, Zuckerberg.
Anyway, does anyone know where I can get/read more of The Story of Achewood? Actually I'd guess that these two chaptres are all he wrote, which I would accept as an answer also (but only out of grim necessity). "Please advice?"
Cock, stranger, ever (never), etc., chochachos and non-chochachos.
P.S: what about that soda, anyway, is it any good?

It was a really cool moment, because you can draw a line from Onstadβs style of writing to the way the E1 guys have built up their mythology and recurring jokes. I wouldnβt have thought to make the connection myself, but itβs so logical in hindsight.
Keith was cool, though he loses points for bashing REM. Unacceptable
I really want to go back and read Achewood 'cover to cover,' especially since I never read the last few years of it.
So far the only thing I've thought of is creating a new bookmark in Chrome every time I finish an Achewood session, but I feel like there's got to be a more convenient way. I'm also bound to forget to make a new bookmark and lose my place.
Any ideas?
I placed an order there several months ago and received a confirmation email and then nothing else. I've written several emails to the address provided and even dusted off my Twitter account to message Onstad on there (which felt intrusive and rude) but no response anywhere. Anyone have any advice?
UPDATE: I've received a notice that my package has shipped. Still nothing in response to my letters but relieving news nonetheless. Thanks again for all the input, folks. Stay safe out there.
Hey swappers, hope everyone had a good holiday season and is staying safe.
Prices are in USD. The more you buy, the more you save! Would love nothing more than to send out some monster-sized boxes of comics, so best offers are very welcome!

I can't find it for the life of me. All I can remember is the part where Roast Beef is reminding himself to be classy, and not say "drain the meat dildo" when he excuses himself to the bathroom.
I know Ray is there, and Molly? So it might be a double date of some kind.
Little details like this are why this is still one of my favourite comics ever!

I'm a little confused about when this book is supposed to be released. Obviously I haven't received it on the original date but seen here that people saying it has been pushed back to 2021. However, my Amazon says it will arrive on 5 October?
I can't seem to see any official announcement anywhere.
The one I use most is probably "congratulations, in a way."
Three comics in and I'm loling so hard. <3

Trump definitely seemed to have been on Onstad's mind as an easy source of comedy. Makes me wonder what kind of stuff he would've written over the last four years, if he hadn't stopped updating Achewood
Some of you may remember this project I started working on a while back, and may still be waiting for updates/completion.
I've made some reasonable progress since that time, but the last year has also seen me move to another state, start medical school, and be overall dumb busy. So progress had already slowed.
With the announcement of the Achewood Complete Canon, I'm going to suspend work on my collection. I want in no way to interfere with Onstad's sales. I want this thing to sell like latkes so I can finally have Achewood sitting on my shelf.
Just wanted to give a heads-up to my chochachos.
I'm tossing my hat in for
"I found some Thompson Twins tapes we coulda used to listened to"
with
"sucking dick bought this van"
as an alternate
Itβs a slowish day at work so I found myself musing on which Achewood character was the closest to my personality. In the end I couldnβt settle on one of those beauties so I divided 3 of them into a composite package.
glass-cannon = 60% Ray + 30% Teodor + 10% Mr Bear
I was relieved to discover the absence of any Nice Pete or Pat.
Somehow Chris is a connection of mine of LinkedIn. I got a notification yesterday that Chris has been at Achewood.com for 17 years, which reminded me that βPhilippe is Standing On Itβ was released 10/01/2001. So I sent him a little message thanking him for many years of wonderful stories. He sent a nice reply telling me that he wished he could still produce it but that he was glad Iβd gotten so much enjoyment out of what was there. What a guy.
Anyway, just kinda crazy to think about. 17 years is a long time.
Hey everybody. I was looking at this thread earlier and starting searching around for a way to read Achewood nowadays. It seems like these online solutions are a little shoddy and while I get that the website is still up, there was that scare not that long ago with it going down for a bit. I'm sure Onstad has lots of other stuff going on or is just happy in his hermitage, but is there no better way to keep the comic somehow?
The Dark Horse books are out of print and can run you anywhere from 20 to 80 bucks per, depending on when/where you find them. Not exactly practical. And the limited amount of Achewood that they cover makes them an unsatisfactory solution. There don't seem to be any compilation PDFs out there, I guess out of respect for the work. I dig that. But surely there's some answer and I'm just overlooking it?
On a personal note, I've got a lot of traveling ahead and will be in places where internet connectivity just isn't a thing. It would be great to read some Achewood in the evenings. But if my only solution is to individually download and scale all of the comics from the website, I guess I'll need to give up the dream.
Thanks!
That's all i came here to say.
Back with more comic lots and sweet deals to pass along (and re-posting a few unsold ones from previous posts).
