A list of puns related to "Abyssinian"
Get it for 40, before you have to get it for 300
Hello,
I am considering getting an abyssinian kitten. I love how they're goofy, social and friendly towards humans. They also seem to be quite high-maintenance, however. I guess I'm wondering exactly how high-maintenance. I usually work from home, so I am often available. But I also need to get some time to actually work. Based on some information/comments that I've read, one would think abyssinians need attention 24/7. However, there must be some people working regular hours while also engaging in leisure activities away from home, and still being able to manage an abyssinian, right? I would love to learn about your experiences.
It is not an option to get two cats. The apartment me and my partner live in is part of an apartment house where our neighbour already has a cat. Us getting two would be to stretch it. This brings me to my next question: We have a garden, and I would like my cat to be free to go outside when it is old enough. I imagine that would help the cat being stimulated as well, ie keeping us all sane. We don't live in the city centre, but there is a road with cars driving past nearby our house. They drive about 40km/h. What are your experience with abbys and the great outdoors?
I have a 1 year old ragdoll who loves to play but is overall pretty chill. I play with him between 10 - 20 minutes a day, and although he always asks for more, he's pretty self-sufficient.
I'm thinking about getting an abyssinian kitten and I want to find out whether they're compatible with my family's lifestyle, whilst noting that although breeds have similar/shared characteristics, cats will have their individual personalities.
My partner and I work from home (even post-COVID), and although we're always "available", we also need thinking and focus time when it comes to our work. Would an abyssinian kitten/cat demand a lot of attention, much more than as ragdoll in general?
Would we need a running wheel for an abyssinian cat to burn off their energy?
I have loved Abyssinians for years, due to their striking appearance. Meeting two (only one pictured here) was an absolute game changer. This little boy was a classic Aby, from what I understand. He was curious, playful and a love-bug with me, a complete stranger. They really are amazing cats. Much love

Hey! I am thinking of getting an abyssinian cat and I have a few questions. Can i have an abyssinian as my only pet, or do they really need another cat as a friend? Are they okay with being home alone? Are they loud?
Any experience or knowledge is welcome!
I have a 4 month boy who is 3.1 pounds currently. His vet visits have been positive, no issues identified and he is healthy/active. The vet has told me itβs too early to tell if there are underlying issues but thereβs really only 2 months left for his maturity and he isnβt growing fast.
Any one can chime in on this and if itβs something to be concerned about? Are there any considerations I need to take or special care for a smaller cat?
My partner and I have both had cats in the past but we'd really like to get an abyssinian. We've found a breeder but there is a wait list of course. Does anyone on this sub know where to find an abyssinian that we can just meet and play with first to see if we like the breed as much as the internet indicates we will? I know this is a weird request, but you you can't just go to a shelter and play with their abyssinians. The breed seems to be very rare around here.
How did you all get to meet these cats before you became their parents?
