A list of puns related to "Abreva"
Finally going to go through with getting on dailys. If I've been experiencing ob's it has been more annoying than painful. So I've been prescribed 400mg of acyclovir but only for 5 days (15pills/1weeksupply). Reached out to my Dr. But suggested I take 2-3 a day WHILE experiencing symptoms . Don't really feel like much thought went into that answer as I asked for daily options. Is 400mg or 800mg moderate or even enough?
Also, is it safe to use abreva on skin? I've been putting it on my face π€·
As I've mentioned before I'm not on daily meds but I feel like maybe I should be, for mental peace of mind and to be able to bare with this nuisance. Reason I haven't been on meds is Over the past few months I've been waiting for an OB and not sure if I'll see it or if I have already seen it (I have a high pain tolerance so maybe the ob's are toooo mild for me, idk), however, I suspected I have an atypical presentation (looks like acne) and I believe I also have mouth lesions- greeeat (sarcastic)
Over the weekend I rubbed a q-tip over the red dots on my face, clear liquid erupted, then scabbed over with white-yellowish crust (personally never seemed that from acne) now today I got 1 more tiny vesicle looks clear. My bet is that it is (and I want to swab test), if I have been on OBs then it has also been non stop inside of mouth and face.. Its been rough, annoying, and sorta mind fucking to have inside of mouth irritated all the time.
I had 1 cold sore this morning. It was large for a new sore, and my lip was pretty swollen. I stopped on my way to work and bought Abreva. Applied several times throughout the day, finally got to go to the bathroom around closing time and Holy shit. I now have SIX cold sores in a line and one is the size of a pencil eraser and is filled with puss. My lip hurts, the whole thing is swollen and gross looking and the abreva clearly is not working as intended. Istopped and got lysine on my way home and just putting it on felt different but what the hell? Anyone else had a violent reaction to abreva?
Hi all,
Iβve had cold sores for last 4 years since working at a popular coffee place (sharing drinks with coworkers) and Iβve had cold sores 2-4 times a year. Iβll usually get them on my top lip in the same spot. Usually around a pea size diameter.
I tried abreva and never really noticing a difference. Usually lasting a couple weeks. Iβve tried other βone dayβ remedies. Iβve even had prescription ointment. Nothing really slowing it down by any noticeable means.
Until todayβ¦
My wife recommend βzit stickersβ to put over it to draw out the yuckies. They are hydrocolloid patches that I keep on and replace throughout the day and leave on overnight. Also after doing med studies research, Iβve been taking 1g of L-Lysine, 2x per day. This combo really made a huge noticeable difference. 4 days in and the sore is not scabbed, yucky, or larger. Looks to be in remission with only a few days left.
Thought I would share what has worked for me so hopefully it helps you.
You can get it on Amazon and itβs a clear ointment. Strong stuff, makes your skin go numb but has saved me countless times from a sore. Stopped using abreva years ago when I found camphor phenol
Has anyone had an unusual number of hobos trying to return Abreva cold sore medicine without a receipt? We have been having a bunch of them around lately clearly trying to return stolen merchandise to us so they can go on a mini shopping spree in the store.
I have recently found a alcohol based CBD areosol spray with peppermint oil. I have been applying to the area during prodome. Seems to stop the eruption and the peppermint/ cbd combo greatly helps with the discomfort.
Just wondering if anyone else here has used anything similar. Not sure if its the Alcohol, Peppermint Oil. Or CBD. But all 3 claim to have properties that may assist with an outbreak
Disclaimer: I still use abreva, as we all know it works very well. But It can be pricey and since starting to use the spray I have been able to use my abreva less frequently. (Only once or twice during prodome in conjunction with spray)
