My husband was always very skeptical of the Mandela Effect but last night when the spelling of Pattie in York Peppermint Pattie did him over the edge. Such a random one to get so effected by!
He found a residual of a toy manufacturer Lionel that spelled it "Patty" and he couldn't understand how they would have misspelled it. He finally started asking how/why/what is happening instead of just pretending nothing's happening!
Somehow I feel that that is not the sensation that they refer to.
I've eaten hundreds and the only transformation I've experienced is my waistline. Am I doing something wrong?
Back story: Last year, around mid-December, my company had a raffle for a tub of mini York Peppermint Patties. It was a "guess how many there are and win" type of raffle. I guessed correctly (74 to be exact). As of right now, I am still eating them. Personally, I really don't like them and none of my coworkers do either. I don't want to just throw them out, that's why every so often I have one and just grimace.
My question is: are they still okay to eat, or am I just slowly poisoning myself?
I am a coast guard who has made the mistake of biting into a york peppermint patty which transported me to the top of a frozen mountain top, I am slowly starving to death, however I have heard rumors about a trio of coast guards that get sent to Olive Garden when they say "When you're here you're family", could saying this phrase be my ticket out of these mountains and back to the city?
