I'm watching s2e21 right now and William is asking Blair to convince Nate to go to Yale instead of Columbia and the proposition becomes "you talk to him and I'll get you on this committee." And then she asks to also be a bridesmaid. But like 15 seconds earlier Nate says all he had to do to get into Yale was a phone call from his grandfather. So if William has this kind of power at Yale, why not ask for him to make a call on her behalf?
Thatβs, uh, pretty good.
Hey yβall. Iβm a freshman at USC studying communication. I was literally the most Type A of Type As in high school, borderline neurotic about everything academic/EC/college app related, and now Iβm chilling with a 3.5 GPA and actually enjoying life. A2C made me more stressed in some ways (competition rip) but it also helped me find a lot of resources like QuestBridge (which I also got rejected from but itβs fiiine).
Anyway seriously feel free to ask me any questions about college, getting rejected from literally every school except your safety and USC (bless my AO), and adjusting to college life. Iβve genuinely never been happier, and I think itβs because Iβve had to adjust my mentality a lot about school. Iβm low-income, went to a high-achieving high school (that place was literally the worst though), and am pretty involved on campus, so hmu so I can procrastinate on my two essays due next week!!
No player had hit more 23 consecutive free throws in a D1 men's game since 1959. Grant Williams is a gritty player has no fear of contact and physicality. He also shot 81.9% from the FT line in his last season at Tennessee. I'm so hyped for this guy. From day 1 it seems like he can be a quality role player.

Major: Unsure, between Engineering and Economics, hoping to minor in cognitive science
Rice pros: beautiful campus, residential colleges, great STEM fields, Houston, nerdy/intellectual student body, fun traditions, small undergraduate population
Rice cons: somewhat weak school spirit, campus is a little small, some dorms are a bit old, weak humanities(?), Iβve heard itβs a little socially awkward
Williams pros: beautiful campus, incredible undergraduate teaching, #1 LAC, strong recruiting from investment banks, athletic student body/possible walk-on for soccer team, great sense of community and alumni support, free music lessons
Williams cons: in the middle of nowhere, no college town, a bit small/cliquey, very cold in the winter
Vanderbilt pros: Nashville, fall campus, great weather, strong academics, great sports teams, Greek life (could also be a con), strong student happiness/work hard play hard, rated as one of the most attractive student bodies
Vanderbilt cons: not particularly strong in any given field, influence predominantly in the south, campus is a little small, some students fit the mold of southern preppy racists (although my high school wouldnβt be a far cry from this)
Please help me lol. Iβll be visiting all of them in the coming weeks, but I feel completely torn between all three. Are there any hidden attributes that Iβm missing from these schools? I donβt care too much about prestige, but rather the education/experience Iβll get there, as Iβm paying full price for all of these schools.
