You might as well not saying anything at all. It seriously makes me want to fucking vomit when I see religious people give half ass sympathy in the form of “you’re in my prayers.” “god is testing your faith with this.” It’s probably one of the most disrespectful and disingenuous responses out there.
I called my mom today because I haven't talked to her for a while. My family had all been very sick over the holidays and after discussing our health improvements she says "I want to ask you a question." That phrase makes me brace for some church related question. I had asked my family to pray for my child's extremely high fever to come down. Mom proceeds to ask if we pray for our family (edit: my children) when they are sick or if we are just being hypocrites by asking for them (edit: my parents/siblings) to pray. I informed her there are many ways to pray and that yes we do pray in our way. Guess what I'll never do again.

Edit: oh! I also just remembered I had half a can of soda after being 100% caffeine & soda free for almost 4 months now. That’s definitely not helping lol

I have so many questions to Allah, It never made any sense whatsoever. Why would Allah not answer to my prayers, it’s really saddening and upsetting to pray for something important to occur until you get nothing in the end. I don’t know what I would expect in the near future, I don’t know how Allah’s plans work, I don’t know how it will benefit me in the near future. I needed that grade for my scholar ship, literally just 3% away from my scholarship.. it pains me to experience this.
