A list of puns related to "Weeds (TV series)"
Currently watching The Office (Season 4: Dinner Party ep9.), and am creeped out of how funny it is!!!
And if fraternity project comes in here and tells me to watch some weird ass frat documentary from the 70s heโs getting blacklisted.
I just saw the first three episodes of the series and Iโm like hmmโฆ
SPOILERS AHEAD
I donโt know how I feel about it. Iโve been hearing a lot about this show from my friends. Especially how Carrie could have saved Big by calling 911. I admit that instead of hugging him and crying, she could have called 911.
The scene where Miranda said she stepped on her sonโs used condom irked me. Carrie offers a silver lining that he was using protection. Let me just clarify that this is not a silver lining, itโs a basic standard. I definitely think that Brady (an underaged minor) having sex with his girlfriend is beyond inappropriate and glorifies teen sex. I think the scene was borderline pedophilic after discovering how old he was supposed to be in this series. This series tries to be sex positive by normalizing the idea that itโs okay to have sex in your parents home. In my perspective, it doesnโt sit well with me when my parents or his parents know that weโre having sex at any age in life. ๐คฎ I donโt mind dating guys who live with their parents, but sex and staying over is off the table if it involves staying with either parentโs house. You have to have your own place if you want to engage in that kind of activity. I donโt care if your parents are โcool with itโ or if rent/housing prices are too high; figure it out. Call me a prude, I donโt care, but sex is a private thing and your parents should not know about your sexual activity.
When Miranda caught Brady smoking weed, she said โno Luisa (Bradyโs girlfriend)for a weekโ , it was as if Luisa was not a person, and it sounded like Miranda was taking away his toys. She doesnโt see Luisa as a person, and I find it problematic.
He was tired of being pushed around
English isn't my native language (not even my second language). But I do love to watch british series in english and if available with subtitles(not often the case somehow). Imagine my confusion when a unrelated looking 30 year old calls the older women character Mom. Because it didn't happen to often on my viewings (maybe Ma'am isn't that common) I was confused but I put it always aside as me being not attentive enough. Only with the magic of subtitles was I able to understand how much of an moron I was.
So my brother tonight is sitting down to watch Star Wars IV with his son for the first time and we were talking about shows that we wish we could see again for the first time.
So I ask you, what is the one TV series you wish you could rewatch but with fresh eyes for the first time?
Something similar to Peaky Blinders, Hannibal or Breaking Bad would be ideal.
Edit: Thanks for the responses. After much careful consideration I have decided to go with The Wire
I don't know if this question has been asked before but I will ask it anyway. What movie do you think would have been better suited as a TV Series?
Some films try to cram wayyyyy too much into too little and feel overstuffed as a result, personally, I think the recent Matt Damon film Stillwater would have been better as a crime miniseries since there was just too much put into the film it felt overstuffed and questions were left unanswered
What films would you say?
I need a new tv as my current one doesnโt have 4K. Should I look at getting a tv with the 2.1 hdmi? Or with 120hz? I donโt know too much about TVs. Will a 4K 60fps tv do?
We just finished the second season and I feel like the second season is just as good if not better than the first season. I've read the books up to where they're at in the show. There's a lot of changes, especially in the second season, mainly expanding and adding characters (the broad strokes are still pretty similar), but I think overall they're more positive than negative. What does everyone else think?
I have a 13 year old Deaf sister. She's been Deaf all her life. We watch a lot of movies together. It's one of the things she can actually enjoy doing with other people. We've seen all the Marvel movies and series and she's watched them too. Anyway. When she saw Hawkeye was hearing impaired she beamed with a smile because she felt he was like her now. I too love how the show handles deaf and hearing impaired characters. It really gives representation to the deaf and hearing impaired people in the super hero world.
Just wanted to share as this was something that just made me smile.
>Prime Videoโs series adaptation of worldwide best-selling game franchise Fallout*,* from Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joyโs Kilter Films, is coming together. Nolan is set to direct the premiere of the series, which is slated to begin production in 2022. Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Silicon Valley)ย have come aboard as showrunners.
I felt this way about The Nevers, it seemed like a generally interesting period drama with superpowers but it wasnโt so amazing that I really wanted to watch it all the way through then the big reveal at the end of how (no spoilers) was like โokay, whoa, Iโve got to keep going.โ
What other shows have worked that way for you?
Interesting points from Bradon: https://youtu.be/Dnbmku3lFmg?t=431
For example, LotR movies were hated so much for the changes they made, the casting choices, removal or Tom from Fellowship of the ring, etc. But now we don't remember it.
That said, criticism is good when it's constructive :) If you like or don't like the show, share it, but don't hate others for liking or disliking it :)
It also might be one of the worst things ever made in human history. Like It was written by edgy preteens, they have 1000 storylines at the same time and unnecessary subplots, there's no character development and non of the characters have actual personality or chemistry, they're all so bland and unrealistic. everyone's acting is awful literally every actor in this show is BAD. Honestly, never felt this way to any show or movie, it needs to be taken down from television and get canceled and never be renewed for another season.
Before the season started, >!I assumed they would pretty much just drop the Laconia plotline altogether and wrap with the Inaros conflict in the Sol system. But we're spending quite a bit of time on Laconia setting up a storyline that there is definitely no room to see all the way to completion. So what's going on? Dare I hope they're setting up a series of movies or something? !<With so few episodes left, I just can't figure out how they're going to tie it all up.
