Clinical trial evaluates INO-4201 as potential booster vaccine following initial vaccination with Ervebo, an FDA-approved Ebola vaccine
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., Nov. 16, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- INOVIO (NASDAQ: INO), a biotechnology company focused on bringing to market precisely designed DNA medicines to treat and protect people from infectious diseases, cancer, and HPV-associated diseases, today announced that several volunteers have been dosed with its DNA-based, intradermal Ebola vaccine candidate, INO-4201, as part of a randomized, placebo-controlled, Phase 1b clinical trial (NCT04906629). The trial will assess whether INO-4201 can be used as a booster in healthy volunteers previously vaccinated with rVSV-ZEBOV (Ervebo(R)1 ), an FDA- and EMA-approved viral-based vector Ebola vaccine. It follows INOVIO's pre-clinical and Phase 1 trials which suggested to investigators that INO-4201 was well-tolerated and resulted in 100% seroconversion after two doses.
"We are excited to begin this Phase 1b trial with our intradermal DNA vaccine candidate INO-4201 as a potential Ebola booster vaccine," said Laurent Humeau, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer, INOVIO. "Due to the potential for anti-vector immunity after primary Ervebo vaccination, boosting with the same vaccine several years later may not be possible. INOVIO's DNA vaccine candidate INO-4201 has the potential to serve as a booster in the setting of prior Ervebo vaccination depending on its tolerability after multiple administrations. Furthermore, our DNA vaccine candidates could offer scalability and allow for room-temperature storage critical to transportation within tropical environments."
Investigators plan to recruit approximately 50 healthy volunteers to participate in the clinical trial. The trial will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity of INO-4201 in healthy adult volunteers who previously received a single intramuscular injection of rVSV-ZEBOV (Ervebo). Ervebo is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the prevention of disease caused by Zaire ebolavirus in individuals 18 years of age and older as a single dose administration. Ervebo is a replication-competent, live, attenuated recombinant vesicular stomatitis virus (rVSV) -based vaccine.
Trial participants will be randomized to either INO-4201 or placebo (4:1 ratio) and will receive an intradermal injection followed by electroporation using INOVIO's CELLECTRA(R) 2000 smart delivery device. The prim
... keep reading on reddit β‘Anyone here attending Webster having IgnitED issues? 2 of my classes are in IgnitED as 1.98 credits. I called Webster and was finally put through to Lisa Michaud, their TA rep. She told me that IgnitED needed to fix it on their end, but the Carson Ed Center said that Webster needs to resubmit the request. This seems like a simple issue to fix, but I havenβt been able to get ahold of Lisa in a month through phone or email.
Hello!
A few days before I got accepted into Unige's Master in Chemistry spring semester program. I am from India and have never traveled outside the country, so it's a totally new experience for me. Because of this, I've got a few questions about University in general.
I'd like to know how the Dept of Chemistry in Unige is like and how was your experience (bonus points in case you were a master's student as well)
I've only received the acceptance letter from the faculty of sciences for now in which they've mentioned the admission department sending further instructions regarding enrollment confirmation in some time. So, should I wait for their instructions or proceed with the visa application as early as possible?
About the language of instruction, are the chemistry courses in English, and in case not, does it prove to be some kind of barrier as I don't know much of french.
Also regarding accommodation, what is the usual scene in geneva and how troublesome can it be to get accommodation near the university?
Thanks and sorry for the trouble, just a little bit nervous.
How is Webster University in state of Missouri? Can someone share details of its ranking and reputation in the state?
I took advantage of the bundle sale and bought three Geneva dresses: the classic, the v-neck, and the long sleeved. Usually they are $135 each, but I got three for $140 on sale.
Honestly, I am unimpressed. The fit is a little strange on the long sleeveβthe sleeves are super baggy. That I can fix on my own and wouldnβt alone be a huge issue, but the other two with the short sleeves have this sort of cap/slit sleeve that shows from my armpit to about four inches below, completely exposing my bra. I could not wear these to work without a cardigan of some sort. The fabric quality is also unimpressive; they are super thin. I am going to keep and make a few alterations to them, but would absolutely not buy from them again. If I had spent $135 on this dress I would send it back for sure.
Hi Reddit! I'm a biologist by training, and the author and editor of several books about science. I have written extensively on the teaching and the public understanding of evolution, genetics and nature of science. My research and writings are interdisciplinary, combining insights from science, history of science, philosophy of science and psychology. I believe that scholars should do our society a service by serving as public intellectuals who educate non-experts on topics, and this is a contribution I would very much like to make through my books. Evolution is one of the most important ideas in science, yet evolutionary theory has been - and still is - hotly debated in the public sphere. But why do the debates about evolution persist, despite the plentiful evidence for it? Why do people find the idea of evolution hard to understand or accept? Why do some people think of evolution as a nihilistic idea that deprives life from meaning? These are the central questions of my new book Understanding Evolution.

Thank you for any help.
I have been looking at the MBA program at the Athens, Greece campus for Webster University.
My contract is up in December and I know it's a bit of a gamble right now, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to move to Greece in January using the Post 9/11.
Is there anyone here who might be able to give some insight?
Would the BAH rate be based on St. Louis or Greece?
Thank you
