I've built wps with ./xbps-src pkg wps-office, now i want to install it with sudo xbps-install wps-office --repository=binpkgs/hostdir/nonfree but it no work. Did anyone know how to do this? Thanks.
Eh also. some extra info: i cloned the git to ~/workspace/void-packages.
I have installed WPS office but can't start it. comes window with user agreement, but confirm button is inactive... I tried to scroll it, privacy policy also, but still same. :/

Recently I have been going through some old document folders, and was getting tired of how slowly they were loading in LibreOffice, and the general uglyness of the LO interface. So I grabbed WPS from the AUR (also available through Dolphin as a flatpak) and wow! It's everything I needed in an office suite. Documents pop open instantantly (even on my humble laptop), it has a slick modern interface with tabbed UI, and handled the tick boxes in a form from my local dentist which LO ignored.
Another major improvement is that the font spacing in WPS is perfect. Every time. In LO, even with the new Skia/Vulkan renderer, you get uneven letter spacing all over the place.
There's also an "All in One" mode where presentations, documents, and spreadsheets all open in one window.
I'm enjoying all the thoughtful touches, such as if you maximise the GUI the tab bar and window controls combine to the same vertical level giving you more space to work. And if you make the window large enough horizontally it will automatically switch to showing two pages side-by-side. The ribbon is very customisable, and it has some options that even MS Word lacks - such as if you drag an image into a document you can set the default text flow.
It's disappointing that LO has so many people working on it and yet they don't seem to care about basic things such as text spacing and UI. But I'm very happy to have found an alternative. I'm even considering paying the $30 subscription for the windows version just to show support for this company.
There are a few config. options to get WPS to visually integrate better into KDE. I can post those if anyone is interested.
In some ways WPS Office reminds me of KDE itself. It takes some UI ideas from Windows (or in this case MS Office) and implements them in a better and less cluttered way.

I was just trying to get WPS Office on my system and it seems like all the Linux downloads links are removed.
The download button under https://linux.wps.com/ does nothing and displays "javascript:void(0)" when I hover over it. The download that can be found in https://wps.com is a .exe file and clearly isn't for Linux. This is the case globally for me.
Does anybody know what's up? Something seems fishy.
Hi peeps. I'm a fan of LibreOffice for the open source/ privacy reason but am not quite used to how it works after a month of using, coming from a long-time Microsoft Office user perspective. [I will still try my best to adapt to it.]
Then my further explore got me into WPS Office, very identical user experience I'd say. That said, I've only given it a few tries, its ratings on PlayStore seems better than the Microsoft Office App's. But I do get it some comments pinpointing it being non-open source + owned by Chinese firm (aka privacy concern issue).
EDIT: One worthy mention: Both these apps had users' complaints about files missing issue.
What's your opinion on these 2 apps? Which one would you prefer in the long run and why?
I have been trying to correct an issue that occurred after updating WPS. I ended up with two executable programs, with one not even able to open documents.
I am trying to wipe the slate clean, and get rid of all WPS applications and then do a fresh install. But For the life of me, I cannot find where these program files are located. Does anyone know where I can look?

Is there a folder or file where the WPS Office Flatpak stores its font styles? I tried removing a certain font style that I made myself, but it keeps coming back when I re-open WPS Office!
I have a gfx card issue, which causes shutdown.

I downloaded WPS Office 2019 for Linux (the latest from the WPS website) from the homepage. Everything sounds fine - nice ui and good compatibility with ms office files, until I tried the morph transition (WPS Presentation).
