There's nothing more satisfying than shouting down your mic. Get on the f*cking ground. Now if they even reacted to that instead of hiting the f button all the time. That would be fucking awesome!

Every time I use spirit box I never get a response. My girlfriend can. When I use a Ouija Board I never get answers - Even when I say "goodbye" it doesn't turn off. My voice works fine in game, she hears me. My settings are all correctly set to English. Any clarity on why this could happen and what I can do to fix it? The lack of being able to use spirit box, ouija board, or even talk directly to the ghost really hurts the experience :( I'm desperate to fix this.
I've just tried it and it's so funny to just cast spells with your voice. It's really cool that the devs still continue to add more and more functionalities to explore the most of VR technology and to maximize immersion. I think this game is a really good showcase of what you're able to do in VR.
My cousin has lost the use of his fingers because of chemo and can’t use the computer to write. Has anyone found a voice to text systems that actually works with a Glaswegian accent?
Sea of Thieves relies on this for example for its voice chat and therefore it doesn't work on Linux. Can this be fixed somehow or will affected games be also crippled on the Steam Deck?

Short of reinstalling the game which I will do next, nothing will fix voice recognition for the spirit box (not sure if ghosts can even hear me during a hunt now). Was working fine the day before the update.
Edit: reinstall fixed it, for now. Had rebooted the game like three times prior.
I'm thinking of buying an echo dot or a google home mini. I tried google assistant and alexa on my android. Google assistant almost never understands the command at my first try while alexa does the job fine. I say, "turn off the light" to google assistant and it replies, "turning off wifi" and now I have to manually turn on wifi. How can it think the word "light" as "wifi"? Those two word aren't remotely close sounding.

I‘m trying to set up Siri voice recognition on our HomePods for my wife, but whenever we go through the setup process (doing the whole “Hey Siri” thing again and again) and I then check to see if voice recognition is now activated it hasn’t saved and we have to go through the whole process again. Has anybody had this? Are there any workarounds or tips?
I'm working on a Horror Game right now, and I was thinking of implementing a voice recognition system, in which if you talk the monster can hear you (detect your position via a noise map) but I have absolutely no idea how to add that, any advice or help?
Anyone else having problems with the voice recognition test? I'm from Brazil and it doesn't work for me even when I speak english, it just shows the message "listening...".
PS: I change the language to portuguese and test it then I change it to english and do the same, but nothing works.

I have impaired motor function after an accident, especially in my right hand that I use to play Runescape usually. I have continued to use my computer by using Microsoft's built-in voice recognition software that among other things, can type for you, move your mouse and left click. It's all manual, each command must be given through one voice command, so it's definitely 1 to 1 interaction, and moving the mouse is done through a mousegrid that hones in on the location on the screen you specify by numbers, and then the carat is moved in a straight line to that location. Is this against the rules? I am typing this with voice recognition.
Typing in my job can really trigger pain in my hands and my wrists. I've been thinking of purchasing a voice typing software to help but not sure where to start. Can anyone recommend anything?

One day, the voice recognition just stopped working for me. No matter I've tried, I can't get it to work and it's just frustrating.
FYI, I have:
- Installed Language packs, both my native and English US and UK
- Have uninstalled the game, deleted files, reinstalled
- Looked through Windows settings, set everything up
I had to hold for about one hour yesterday when calling Fidelity to DRS. That's the longest I've ever had to wait to speak with someone about it. The first person I spoke to ended up having to check one something to see if they could help with it - which was a little odd, because other times I've called the first Customer Service agent was able to do it. When he came back, he said he needs to transfer me to an "Equity Specialist" - which is where/when I had to wait and wait... and wait... and wait. I sure as shit wasn't hanging up, though.
As well, and important to note, while waiting on hold I received a text message from Fidelity saying that the voice security feature was turned on. I most certainly did not turn that on myself. I remember seeing texts/messages about that feature, which I ignored, as I did not want that, nor do I want that at this time. It's pretty damn easy to spoof someone's voice, anyway.
I asked the "Equity Specialist" at the end of our call about the feature getting turned on and asked her why/how it was turned on. She said that it was most likely one of the other customer service agents who did that. So, there are agents there playing with accounts without express authority or authorization. Big fucking surprise.
Hi everyone,
It seems like my voice recognition test in the settings is not working but my in game voice chat is. How do I test if the ghost hears me. Never could test it since I always play with friends and they usually do the talking to the ghost part.
Any ideas?
Here some info for you:
- Mic is set to default mic in windows settings
- I have 2 mics connected to the computer
- The one I use is a wireless headset mic
So my partner and I an echo dot in the bathroom we've been using to listen to music/news when we're in the shower in the morning. We have two profiles setup with voice recognition and each profile is linked to our own spotify account (we listen to very different music).
If I tell her to Switch profiles, she just switches from the current one to the other one. If I say change to my profile, it does the same thing. Is there a command so that she'll switch to the profile of the person asking, and if it's already on that profile won't switch at all?
Newest glitch for me: I say "Okay Google" and Polestar screen puts up a banner saying voice recognition is using the phone." (It's a Pixel 6) Problem is, I keep it in my pocket so it hears "OK mmm blurgm mmmm". I looked in settings, I checked voice recognition, I can't find where I'd tell it to please use the built-in car microphone, not the phone microphone.
I downloaded some kind of update to it, which I think must have been through the Google Play store. Since then there has been noticeable degradation in voice recognition. Especially when I first start speaking. Am I the only one?
(Note that by speech recognition, I mean speech-to-text, like when dictating a text message.)
