A list of puns related to "Voice modem command set"
I have just discovered Mycroft AI and been checking it out for a couple hours. Cool!
Is there a simple way / skill to do what the title says with this tool? Do you know of another tool to achieve that?
Thanks!
I have a Bond Bridge which controls two Minka ceiling fans. One of the fans is called "Graham Fan" and I can say "hey Google, turn on Graham Fan Light" and it the light in that ceiling fan will turn on. Thes voice commands work:
Support for Ceiling Fans:
"Turn on/off <device name>"
"Set <device name> to speed #"
"Set <device name> to low/medium/high"
"Set <device name> speed to <beaufort scale>"
If Ceiling Fan has a light
"Turn on/off <device name> light"
"Set <device name> light to %".
However, when I give the voice command, is not unusual for one or more of my Google Assistant smart speaker / smart displays to say, "Sorry it looks like that light has not been set up yet" - even though the voice command actually works.
What is causing this weird response? And how do I fix it?
I have a Spotify account, but when I request a song with voice command in the car, it jumps to the "Streamer" app unless I explicitly ask it to use spotify: "Play blablba by blablabla on Spotify".
I want spotify so that my "Likes" are remembered in my spotify account.
Anyway to just default all music requests to the Spotify app?

What is this seeming obsession with voice commands? To me itβs often akin to playing music out loud on public transport and suggests either a lack of social awareness or attention seeking behavior. Sure, there are situations in which voice commands are beneficial or even necessary, but why do some feel the need to announce so much of what theyβre doing to everyone within earshot?
Imagine my surprise when my tv, which I use on volume setting 17 suddenly jumps to 40 because my nest mini decided to change that when I specified the bedroom speaker volume to change to 40%......
Hello, tonight I started having an issue when using my Google voice command / search widget to set a reminder. After giving the command, Google is pulling up a search to set a reminder instead of prompting me to name and confirm my Google reminder as it normally would.
Voice commands for Set Alarm and Set Timer are still working. I've tried both with bouetooth headphones and without.

Really appreciate any help. Thanks in advance for any input.
The only command I can use to get my google assistant to run the fan is "start the fan" and it will set a 15 min timer for it. Anything else I say will get a response of "I don't understand" or "that device is not set up yet". Is there anyway I can set a customized timer?
Hi, I'm a Windows user and a X1 Gen 9 owner. I need to be able to execute arbitrary AT commands on my LTE modem. Is there any tool available to do that?
I have a Galaxy S9 running stock Android. I have always been able to press the microphone icon within the google bar that lives on the top of my home screen and say " remind me to blah blah at such and such" without any Hey Google nonsense but this has for some reason stopped working in the past 3 days. It now just performs a google search of whatever I say. Any ideas or things I can try other than restarting the phone?
What is the best Cable Voice Modem to purchase? I currently have a TM1602 but that's for speeds up to 300, I have 500.
Comcast told me I have to have a voice capable Docsis 3.1 cable modem to get Triple Play (Netgear 1150V) and the non-voice ones won't work (Arris SB8200 or Moto MB8600). The installer spoke broken English but seemed to say I could switch to non-voice. I want to confirm before buying one. I will never use the voice but the bundle is cheaper overall. Anyone know for sure?
Hey people, My internet drops out a couple times a day; I download a decent amount so not sure if it's my ISP, a faulty router or what have you. We have a mini fan pointed at the modem & router so it doesn't get too hot anymore. Usually, when it goes out, we can unplug the modem &router for a few seconds, plug it back in and we're good to go for awhile.
I'm also setting up some smart home gear. If there any sort of plug that can cut the power to our 'net off then restart it? My normal smart plug can cut it off but there's no internet to bring it back up. I saw some timer plugs, but I need to be able to reset via voice when it starts slowing down & acting up. Thanks in advance!
Hi All,
I'm sure this has been asked before but I wasn't able to make real sense of the answers.
I upgraded to a 1 Gig connection today and realize that the modem and router I have from Optimum right now won't support that speed.
The plan currently has voice and I understand that new modem/router combos don't support the voice line.
I am wondering if I can utilize the current modem that I have from optimum as voice only and use a coax splitter to connect to a bought modem/router combo for the 1 gig internet to work?
My gut says this is possible but I am confused on how the splitter would work. We currently have a number of TVs being fed to as well as the voiceline. Would I need to get a splitter and run the main coax into it then a separate coax line into each TV line, the voice line and the line going to the new modem/router?
Thank you!
I just signed up for YouTube TV and received a Chromecast with Google TV as part of a promotional thing. I installed it on my TV and it works well but the remote (with the google assistant button) is small and Iβm pretty sure, with my kids and family, it will get lost at some point and disappear at least for a while. Up until now we have used Xbox One Kinect with cable TV pass through. The voice commands were pretty good; we could say βXbox on,β βXbox turn offβ and ask it to change volume and go to an app, etc. You didnβt need to be holding a remote. Is there a similar device that I can get that would do this for YouTube tv and the chromecast/google TV set up? Iβve heard of google nest and google hub. Iβve done a little bit of searching, but Iβm not clear on what the best device would be for our purposes, mainly for YouTube tv and the chromecast/google tv. What are your recommendations, the specific products you use, etc? Thanks for helping out a noob!
Hey guys
I was trying to send some AT commands to get access to my SIM card that is connected on an android phone
Debug mode is enabled, phone password was removed, and the USB cable is connected
the laptop is recognizing it directly and shows the ttyACM0 but when i'm trying to run AT+CRSM using minicom utility it returns Error and I couldn't figure out the reason
I'm new to this thing but i'm required to finish this project ASAP, so if someone could lead me to explanation on how the thing supposed (accurate steps) to be configured I will appreciate it
We have a bunch of Google home minis spread throughout the house and currently we use a handful of TP-Link Smart Plugs just to turn on/off 3 lamps in the living room and 2 in mine and my wife's bedroom. Our two kids have Google Homes in their rooms but their bedrooms are lit mainly by an overhead dome light and two lights in a ceiling fan. I know they would love to be able to change colors on their lights so they would enjoy them.
What kind of cool things can you do with Smart Bulbs? I like the idea of being able to schedule the warmth/tone of the bulbs to help with nighttime relaxation. What cool things are there that you can do with the bulbs? I don't have any automation system other than the Google Homes themselves.
I'm looking for a gsm modem for sms that works with the linux smstools, which uses AT commands. Does anyone happen to know a gsm modem that has a high chance of success, an that works with North American networks?
Preferably something that plugs into a USB port. I'm seeing various cheap dongles, but the "4GDONG001" ones for example, don't appear to work in North America.I'm seeing "OSTENT" has a small metal boxed one, and nice rack mount 8 and 16 port ones, and they're quad band and appear to work in North America, but it seems they can only be found in China, and thus would take eons to ship.
A nicely written article explaining how Linux smstools works, it mentions HUAWEi Mobile Connect Model E169, but I can't find one. Also, I need said product to be available for future purchases also, not just one single one.
