A list of puns related to "ViEWER"
Coffeezilla is a famous youtuber who exposes scams and warns people to never invest in them. His recent video telling people that Doge is like gambling got a community guidelines strike from YouTube and they deleted his channel. Imagine waking up to see your livelihood destroyed. We desperately need a decentralised video platform so that these powerful companies lose their monopoly. We don't matter to them even though we are the users of these platforms, how ironic!
Edit: He just shared his thoughts on twitter that it might have been the doge army who flagged his video and took down his channel.

Final edit: He got the channel back after the youtube team manually verified that no guidelines were broken.
SO many YouTubers have this new trend of showing that "over x% of my viewers are not subscribed" and then they ask you to subscribe as if this is any of my concern.
The worst part however which makes it super annoying is that it is asked at the BEGINNING of the video. If they asked and showed the stats of viewership at the END when the video was over, it would make sense because the video is over and the viewer can decide after watching the content, instead of being guilt-tripped into subscribing before the video even starts.
I just find this super annoying and I am much less likely to like a video and subscribe to them if I see this.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Whilst I am fully aware of semi-recent changes Twitch has implemented with their ads, this is getting ridiculous.
I've noticed that over the past 1-2 weeks, the frequency of ads has significantly increased in the middle of streams; including ad breaks that the streamer does NOT actively start themselves. Not only that, but the number and length of these ads are getting ridiculous, averaging about 30-60 seconds each time, sometimes occurring at critical moments in streams (link to an example of this happening a while ago on Soda's stream provided below).
Every time I've entered a new stream, there's a ~75% chance that I get a 30 second pre-roll; this HEAVILY disincentivises finding new streamers to check out, and is directly counteractive to site-wide growth. Ad-blockers are also becoming less effective, and many of the blocking methods that worked only a few months ago are no longer successful.
The obvious 'solution' to this issue is "just sub if you don't want to watch ads 4Head", but many streamers actively state that merely watching their stream and participating in chat is enough support; surely they should get the final decision on whether or not they want ads running. Not to mention, some people prefer donating rather than subscribing; this obviously doesn't remove ads for them either.
I'm curious if anyone else has experienced similar changes recently, and seek potential remedies to the situation.
Cheers.

TLC viewers have created and signed a Change.org petition to try and get all Duggar content -- such as "Counting On" -- canceled and pulled from the channel and its streaming services after Josh Duggar, 33, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography on April 29.
As of Thursday, almost 7,000 people have signed the online petition.
"The Duggar family should no longer have a platform," the petition reads. "This family should no longer be allowed to collect money from streaming services and television series. Enough is enough. Too many people have been harmed."
TLC did not immediately return Fox News' request for comment.
Impressive growth in the LEC, even though neither G2 or Fanatic played in the finals (these have been the two most popular teams traditionally), LEC Spring 2021 peaked at 831k+ viewers. This is actually an increase from Spring 2020.
If anything, peak viewership actually masks how much the LEC has grown. Average viewership has also grown from 229k to 309k.

I despise getting into a good series/book/anime/manga/cartoon which has a terrible cliffhanger "ending", with next to no closure.
I don't want to have to come up with an ending for their story, I want the writer's/director's ending, their interpretation of the story. If I wanted to come up with a story that suits my interpretation, I would be the one writing something. I want to read THEIR finished work, not mine, or some other random internet person who came up with their weird "head-canon".
It baffles me when people actually defend this kind of behaviour, since it just promotes laziness. They are the ones (and sadly the majority of readers) that allow writers to get away with this shit. Storywriters like this should be called out on this stuff way more harshly, they would deserve the negative criticism, which could be avoided by not being lazy and finishing their story properly.
I don't care how disappointing the story's ending is, as long as it came from the writer's mind, and has almost full closure on all charaters and major plot lines.
For 5 hours, Cameron Ferguson streamed while playing his guitar in front of 0 viewers..... he had no idea it would be one of the most successful nights anyone has ever had on Twitch.
Meanwhile.. CryptoCobain and ledgerstatus were streaming Up Only, a show about CryptoCurrency. At the end of the show CryptoCobain was searching for a small streamer to raid and stumbled across Cameron Ferguson playing music for 0 people, amazed by his talent decided to raid him and furthermore he instructed the streamer to create a Twitter account, get on the cryptocurrency app Blockfolio and put his address in his bio so others could donate to him.

After just under two hours Ferguson called his wife and asked
'Honey guess how much money we have?'
'Two Thousand?'
Ferguson shows the phone.
'This isnβt real!'

Understandable she cant believe it, Ferguson just created his twitch account few days ago and had 7 followers and now he owns $85,000.

It just goes to show that one stream on Twitch can completely change your life and thatβs exactly what happened here with one of the craziest streamer stories of all time and we are part of it.
So Iβve just gotten all caught up, and came to this sub to read about it. And man, a LOT of people on here are so hung up on the violence and the parallels to real life that I think theyβve lost touch with the fact that this is still just a show. Itβs TV.
If you have PTSD or are so anxious that this show makes you break down or feel traumatized remember that NO ONE is making you watch it. On the other hand, itβs TV, and itβs important to be able to separate entertainment from reality, even when one is using the other as its inspiration. As someone who has been sexually assaulted myself, I get it, but this is not real. Itβs acting.
Some things Iβm reading on here make it sound like this show is live leak or something and that they are being forced to watch it. If you cannot handle the content of this show, thatβs why they give a VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED warning at the beginning. If you donβt heed that itβs on you whatever this show brings up. If you cannot handle the subject matter donβt force yourself to watch it. You wouldnβt put your hand in a fire and be surprised it burns so if you know this content is triggering to you donβt complain when youβre triggered watching it. Perhaps unpopular but itβs just my take.
